How to Replace Your Kitchenaid KDTE204EPA’s Water Supply Tube

If your dishwasher is leaking, there are a few different parts that could be responsible for the problem. If you think it’s the water supply tube at fault instead of the water inlet valve, replace the part in just a few minutes. The supply tube part of your model is #WPW10340745, and all you need to do is:

  1. Turn off the power to your dishwasher by flipping the circuit breaker. Always remove the power source during any appliance repair.
  2. Remove the lower dish rack and then the arms below it by turning the center counterclockwise to unlock it. Next, remove the upper rack from the machine’s rails, as well as the uppermost tray. This gives you full access to the water supply tube.
  3. Take out the water supply tube: Separate the manifold inlet tube from the pump cover and remove the manifold cover completely. Remove the water supply line from the brackets at the top of the machine, as well as along the back, and then remove the bottom connection from the pump cover.
  4. Transfer the support bracket from the old tube to your new tube, and then put it in place starting at the bottom and then snapping it into the brackets along the back and top.
  5. Replace the tray and upper dish rack and then put the manifold and washer arms into place. When you’re replacing the manifold, make sure the manifold’s inlet tube goes firmly back into the pump cover.
  6. Add the lower dish rack.

Like with most appliance repair, the majority of the steps involve accessing the broken part and then correctly reconfiguring the appliance. Always make sure you’ve reversed every step of deconstruction before powering or running a repaired appliance and go to Appliance Express for more step-by-step procedures.
