Arrived onsite to inspect refrigerator with no cool in the RC. Upon arrival I found frost built up in the freezer. I steamed the freezer and cleared the frost. I removed the evaporator cover and found a block of ice plugging the drain hole. I cleared the frost and ice build up from the intake and outtake at the evaporator. I tested the heating element and it is operating as designed. I tested the evaporator fan and it is operating as designed. No leaks observed during service. Call complete.

When going into the icemaker error codes indicated an F5 for timed icemaking, or a bad icemaker thermistor. I did not have the icemaker on hand. I removed the FC evap cover and found a perfect frost pattern on the evaporator (photo). I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the components and found the ice maker with error E5. I tested the ice maker in test 57 and it harvested and then tested the fill tube in test 45 and it failed to fill. I tested the fill tube heater in test 19 and the heater was energized and melted the ice inside the tube. Retested the fill tube and it filled the tray. I am ordering the ice maker, hv control and fill tube heater and office to schedule return service due to the availability of parts. "Arrived on site to inspect dryer drum not turning. Upon further, I tested the unit with the door open and found the drum turning but it was turning slower than designed. I raised the top panel and found the wrong type of belt on the unit. I disassembled the unit and found where the belt had been slipping so bad that the teeth on the motor pulley was beginning to wear down and I found belt shavings at the bottom of the unit (photo). I removed and replaced the motor, blower wheel and belt and reassembled the unit. Retested and unit is operating as designed. All lint was cleaned from within the unit, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator no cool. Upon further inspection, I went to test temps in the FC section and found both compartments warm. Customer had the unit pulled out from the wall and I removed the back cover and tested the compressor. I found all fans operating, but the compressor was not. I cycled power to the unit and when the compressor came on, it began to make a loud noise and was showing to be drawing almost 10amps. I advised the customer of my findings and quoted them for the sealed system repair-replacement of compressor, dryer and access valve and customer advised that due to the units age, they will purchase a new refrigerator. Unit was left unplugged for safety. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect dryer noises. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit gets out after its been used for a while. I tested the unit and when it turned on, it was louder than expected. I removed the top panel and the unit continued to remain loud. I disassembled the unit and found the rollers and tension pulleys werent rolling properly due to the accumulation of lint debris which turned into an oil. I turned the rollers by hand and they stopped immediately. Also found the belt beginning to fray. Customer advised that the unit has never been serviced. I recommended replacing the rollers (5), tension pulley and belt and clean the unit. Quoted $653.51 ($603.70+tax) for service/labor/parts mentioned above. "Arrived on site to inspect cooktop flames. Upon further inspection, I found the cooktop with the wall oven installed under it making it difficult to get to the model/serial placard of the cooktop (photo). The customer advised that the cooktop flames are turning yellow and orange. I questioned the customer if they have a humidifier in the home and they advised that they do. I explained to the customer that the humidifier increases the percentage of water vapour in the air, which decreases the percentage of oxygen causing the flames to go from blue to orange/yellow increasing the CO in the flame. I recommended that the customer open some windows and doors near the cooktop and turn the humidifier off when using the cooktop. Also recommended placing a fan in the kitchen area to circulate the air to the outside to help get the flames back to blue. I tested the cooktop burners and found the flame tips orange/yellow and the base of the flame blue in color. I provided a video for the customer that showed how a humidifier effects the cooktop flames when its turned on. No repairs needed at this time and no gas leaks detected during service. Arrived onsite for a no cool refrigerator. I found the evaporator encased in frost. I forced defrost and found the heater not turning on. I found the brown wire at the molex connection for the heater with the pin not snapped in the molex causing voltage not to reach the heater in defrost. I snapped the pin in the connector and snapped the connector together then tested in defrost again and the unit works as designed. I defrosted the coil for the customer. Call complete.

Arrived on site to install the sound barrier. Tested and unit is now operating as designed. No leaks where observed during service.

Arrived on site for refrigerator ice dispenser door not closing. On inspection the customer showed me that when ice is dispensed the door had to be closed manually. She also showed me that when the freezer door is closed the ice dispenser door opens. There were 3 errors one for the coil fan one for the main control board and the last there was no write up for it. I think there is a issues wiring issue with the unit because of the freezer door activating the ice dispenser door.quote the customer to replace the control board. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not cooling properly. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit frosted up in their freezer prior to losing temperature, and while the freezer was still somewhat cooling, the temperature was increasing in both compartments. They had previously unplugged the unit prior to service. Disassembled the evaporator cover and checked resistance through the heater. Found proper resistance and continuity. Checked through the bimetal and found the bimetal closed, indicating a good circuit. Did advise the customer that the issue would most likely be with the control but that their model number did not register on any GE or alternative sites. I did advise that I would have to re-search the control to ensure that it was the proper one. The customer advised that they were already on the fence about buying a new unit anyway due to the age of the unit and cost of repair, the customer decided against further repair and is going to buy themselves a new refrigerator. Upon further inspection, when I opened the unit door, I found detergent at the bottom for the tub which is a clear indication that the motor is not operating. I advanced through testing and the dispenser, drain pump, and element all operated as designed. I attempted to contact the property manager to discuss the repair and quote and got their voice mail. Arrived on site for door does not unlock and drain pump operates only. Upon arrival inspected unit and door is locked. There is no water in basket. Powered unit on and drain pump operates continuously. Unit does power off. Am unable to get into diagnostics mode due to not being able to open door. Need to replace control and pressure switch. Arrived onsite for a microwave making a squeaking sound periodically when in use. I found one of the wheels on the turntable ring dragging and causing the squeaking noise the customer was hearing when the plate was loaded down. I replaced the ring and tested. The unit is not squeaking now. Call complete.

"I have Don site for a dryer that is not powering on. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advise at the unit would not start any cycles but that the door light would come on. Tested the unit and found the unit making a clicking sound, and then completely shutting off before showing a power failure error message. I checked voltage at the terminal block and found proper voltage and polarity when the unit was sitting idle. Checked voltage from Line 1 to neutral when the start button was pressed and activated. Found voltage drop to 0 V. Checked Line 2 to neutral when the unit started and found voltage increased to 240 V. Check voltage at the wall and confirm the same issue. The customer advised that every time the unit would start that it would sit off a different breaker in her breaker box every time. The customer showed me it doing this to three separate breakers three times in a row. Did advise the customer that her issue was an electric supply issue. Filled out the incoming voltage checklist and had the customer sign incoming voltage waiver. The customer will need an electrician to fix her electrical supply issues. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."
