I secured the line and taped it together so it will not unplug again. Repair completed."

I told her I would contact WP and ask them about it. The old glass had it and the new glass has the gap. Talked to Rich at WP techline and he said the gap is there to keep the outer glass cooler then the inner glass. If the gap was not there the outer glass would be the same temperature as the oven.

Test motor and motor is good. Test capacitor and is within capacitance. Replaced cam W10721967, and actuator W10913953. Test unit and unit now operates as designed. No leaks present at this time. I removed the ice and found the evaporator full of ice and removed it, correcting thermistor placement, as well. The likely cause of the frost issue was the right FC slide retract damaged. The RC doors will require adjustment upon return and the FC will require door alignment after the slide is replaced. The unit was severely tilted out at the top, inch of difference from the bottom and I corrected within the cabinet. The unit will require further adjustment, tech GCO. I removed the FC evap cover and found a large ball of ice in the top right corner at the cap tube (photo). When I removed the evap cover, I found a burn spot on the bottom left of the cover and also found a burn out spot on the defrost element. The installers had added a very high drain loop to the installation, at the height of the countertop and the pump had failed, cutting power to the ice machine. The drain pump connections were not fully tightened and the unit had been dripping slightly, but no visible damage was found and I informed the customer. I set the unit to drain directly into the floor drain and tested. All normal functions resumed and the unit operated as designed. No leaks observed after service complete."

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator not cooling. Upon further inspection, I found the unit unplugged. Plugged the unit in and checked the RC evaporator drip pan and found it badly bowed. I checked the deli control and harness and both were good. Customer advised that they heard a click noise and a pop noise shortly afterwards when the unit had shut down. I pulled the unit out and tested amp draw at the compressor/inverter and got 2.89amps. Following the tech sheet, I tested the thermistors and found the RC thermistor way out of range. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the unit and found it operating as designed. I tested voltages at the control and all were good. I found the drain tube at the back the unit sealed and all fans are operating

I examined the unit and found the unit has the normal 1-2 drops that come after shutting off the water valve. This is a normal operational behavior, water will stick and drip off the guide and housing. Confirmed valve is not weeping at all. The water drops are more noticeable on these units due to how close the fill tube is to the front edge of the unit as well as the angle, so it runs down the door. No repair can be made, this is part of the design of the unit. Call completed."

Ran the unit through heavy agitation and spinning cycles. Could not replicate the sound. Ran the unit through an auto test in the unit ran as designed. I removed the agitator and did not find any obstructions or stripping. Checked underneath the washer and found the slider, rotor, and clutch all working as designed. I called whirlpool tech line And spoke to Butch SR# 7736368143. He advised that based on all the previous service history and my findings that the issue would most likely have to be with consumer use and loading. He advised to have the customer keep an eye on the unit and to try to see if they can notice any patterns with when the unit does making a knocking sound. Vice to make no repairs at this time.
