"Arrived on site for a dryer that has a burning smell. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit started making a noise and it has been producing some sort of burning odor. I tested the unit and confirmed the sound coming from the drum. I spun the basket by hand and found the sound still being made. I disassembled the unit and did not find any evidence of any wires burning. I gained access to the blower wheel and found a hand towel and a sock Stuck in the blower wheel housing, causing the noise and smell. I removed the obstructions and checked all rollers and belts. Found everything else intact and a little bit of burnt lint on top of the heater housing. I removed the lint and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete."

"KUIX535HPS01 Arrived to inspect no production. The customer advised production has always been questionable and recently, had completely stopped. Testing revealed the circulation pump inoperative and during subsequent tests, the reservoir drain pump stopped operation. I found the pump secondary from the transformer as an open circuit and suspect the issue occurred as the transformer heated up. I purposefully left the transformer unplugged from line VAC and loads. The lift pump and control were still operative to prevent any water issues. I am ordering the transformer, which should be installed first and then adding the control and re-flowing other parts, in case of need. "Arrived on site for a washer that has strong vibrations. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the previous washer was super quiet and ran for about 10 years before it finally died and that theyve only washed two cycles on this unit so far and both of them have been abnormally loud and have been concerning for the customer. The customer showed me a video of what she was dealing with and it appeared to be a little bit of an off-balance issue. I checked the suspension and found the suspension was good. I checked the basket and find the basket was properly secured. I ran the unit through an auto test and found the unit working and operating as designed. I did notice that the unit was unlevel and attempted to adjust the feet to level out the washer. I found that the flooring was too slanted for me to be able to do it completely adequately and did recommend shims to level it out better. I did advise the customer that can contribute towards off balance loads, but did advise the unit was working as designed. The customer also complained about that loud noises. It makes when switching between cycles and when the unit is filling and draining. I did advise the customer that those are normal operation sounds, and that this is how this unit is designed. The customer is unhappy and is going to contact the retailer for an exchange as she does not like this unit. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Rich SR# 7738809152. He advised that the leveling of the unit is contributing towards the issue and that the unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for refrigerator not cooling. Upon arrival found unit in a defrost mode and temps in both compartments at 20/44 with controlsetting set to the warmest setting, I adjusted temp to middle recommended setting and waited for unit to exit defrost. After 5 minutes of run time I found temps drop down to 39/12 and continued to get lower during diagnoses and found evap coil evenly and fully frosted. Found no fan or compressor failures. No dye was present on evap coil or compressor area. Refrigerator is working as designed. Call complete"

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not washing clothes. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit stopped halfway through the wash cycle and has not been able to start a new one cents. I ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F7 E1 (basket speed fault) error code. I ran the unit through a manual high speed spin and found the unit buzz but not spin. Went ahead and replaced the capacitor and had the same result. I then noticed a block of cement that was not flat under the cover that was pushing through to the drive pulley and caused the cover to melt onto the drive pulley. I removed the cover. I was able to reposition the cover and secure it. I tested the unit again and the unit began to work and operate as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Bruce SR# 7738807967. He advised that was an installation issue, and that the customer is going to need to make sure that nothing gets stuck underneath the washer for this very issue. "Arrived on site for a range that is not holding temperature. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised they just bought this unit and they have not been able to get this unit to work properly since they bought it. She advised that she cooks a lot of desserts, and that her cakes and cream puffs have fallen in this oven and have not cooked thoroughly. I gained access to the back and checked both elements. Found both elements within range. I checked the oven thermostat and found it within range. I went ahead and replaced the control and the oven thermostat just in case and tested the unit on a 350?F bake cycle. I found the unit fluctuating between 382?F and 322?F averaging a temperature of 353?. I did advise the customer that the unit is working and operating as designed. The customer did say that the temperature fluctuations are too wide and that, as a baker, you cannot have those kind of temperature swings in order to have accurate cooking for delicate items. I did explain to the customer that this is how the unit works for this model. The unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete."

I was able to fit the custom washer to lift the left door to allow full contact with the ice bin to FC door gasket and prevent excessive airflow from getting into the ice bin area. "Arrived on site for a dishwasher that is making abnormal sounds during operation. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit makes a humming sound intermittently through the cycle. The customer showed me a video of the sound, and it sounded like the wash motor diverter changing positions While it was still spraying. I ran the unit three diagnostics and did not find any store to error codes. Around the unit through an auto test in the unit ran as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Joe SR# 7738810041. He advised that dishwashers in and of themselves making noise, and that the noise will vary between dishwashers. He did verify that the unit is completing each and every cycle and his cleaning dishes. He advised not to make any repairs as he was not really sure that replacing any parts would make any difference with the sound with the dishwasher. They also advised that food particles and sides also get pushed through the spray arms that can cause abnormal sounds. Advised all this is normal operation and advised to have the customer call back if the sounds get worse or they lose any functional abilities on the machine. He advised to make no repairs at this time. Call complete."

Arrived onsite for a dryer making a bad noise while running. I found the idler pulley making the noise the customer was hearing. I found the belt shredding on one side and the left rear roller also making noise because it had broken the front plastic stop. I installed a repair kit and tested the dryer. I found the chimney mounting bracket at the top of the chimney, was not mounted correctly and partially held up with tape and one screw into drywall only. The bracket must be correctly mounted before any further repair can be made and must be performed by installation, as we are not authorized or equipped to perform that type of work. Installed the new tub re connect all the components and ran the unit in diagnostics mode and at the end of the diagnostics test the unit flashed off and the the water came on and stayed on could not power down had to unplug unit. We installed a new control board in the unit and retested in diagnostics mode. This time the unit completed the diagnostics mode with out flashing off and turning the water on. F0E2

Arrived on site to diagnose microwave missing parts after install. On arrival I was informed the microwave was not installed with a damper on it and this needs to be installed for builder to fix the ducting. Ordering a damper and install kit to be installed. Return visit set for 4/5. ; ordrng 1 W10843943 (Damper) and 1 W10821385 (Install Kit)

"Arrived onsite for washer with error F5E2 lock error. On inspection the last tech out installed a new lock on the door. Ran the diagnostic cycle and the error came up during the cycle. I installed a new control board on the unit and reran the diagnostic mode, the unit completed the cycle with no issues. Had the customer start a load and it did not error or while I was there. No water leaks detected during service."

"Arrived on site for a range that has a coil that wont work. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the left front coil was not working and so she tested the right rear and found the right rear element functional. She attempted to switch the elements to see what would happen and found that the left front element came on when she switched the coil elements. I did test the right rear element, which is the element in question to see if it would heat and found that it would not heat on the right rear burner or the left front, but the other coil would on both switches. I went to replace the element and found that the elements out with me was the smaller element and not the element needed. Ordering parts and rescheduled the customer to 4/15. ; ordrng 1 W11396792 (Right rear element) and 1 WP3149400 (Infinite switch)"

Arrived on site to test unit for moisture retention after wash cycle complete. Found no error codes. Ent opening and closing as designed. Element is good and engaging properly. Advised customer to prop door open when cycle is complete to allow steam to escape. No leaks detected. Job complete.

"Arrived on site for refrigerator and freezer not cooling. Found refrigerator at about 45 and freezer at about 20. Inspected and found evaporator frozen over. Test 3 shows open. Verified compressor, fans and defrost all working. Will need new defrost Sensor. Arrived onsite for a washer making a grinding or rubbing noise. The customer stated the noise is a popping noise. After speaking with the customer it sounds like it makes the noise at the end of an agitation stroke. I checked stored error codes and there were none. I ran the service cycle and the machine sounds normal and completed the cycle. I showed the customer that there drain pipe to the drain pan was not connected and this washer is upstairs in the home. I inspected the lower unit and found it good but I found signs where the pulley guard had been touching the ribs on the drain pan. I lowered the feet all the way down to help prevent this. I went over piling the linens in the machine after finding out they were wrapping them around the agitator. I explained that this could have been causing the noise they had heard at times. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for unit not functioning properly. Found failed thermal fuse. Fuse was defective. Replaced fuse again. Tested temps and cycling. Blower fan is functioning. No other issues found at this time.

Arrived onsite for washer not dispensing softener. On interior I ran the component diagnostic on the softener and it dispensed the softener. I asked the customer if she turn on the softener and she said no. I showed her how to turn it off and on. The washer is operating as designed and no water leaks were detected during service.

Arrived on site for cooktop lights falling out. Removed filters. Removed lights. Adjusters bracket. Reassembled and verified operation. Call complete.
