"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is still making chiming noises. Inspected unit and work area. The customer showed me a few videos of what was happening and it seemed like the unit was losing power for less than half a second before powering back on. I ran the unit into diagnostics and could not get the unit to fault on any diagnostic testing. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Rob SR# 7739769439. He had me run through various checks through diagnostics and we could not get the unit to fail. he advised for me to check to see if the unit was plugged into a dedicated circuit, and I found the unit was tied to an outlet that had a gas range on it. He advised that that was going to be the issue completely as the refrigerator needs to be on a dedicated circuit. He advised that with the unit being on an outlet that has a gas range, there would be a shared voltage and white noise, causing issues with the control to drop voltage. He advised to make no repairs at this time and inform the customer that they will need to put their refrigerator on a dedicated circuit prior to any further repairs. I informed the customer of techlines findings. Call complete. No parts were installed."

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator. That is not making ice. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit is cooling properly but the icemaker just will not make ice. She advised that she has turned the icemaker off and back on and has had no luck. I attempted to jump the icemaker and found that the icemaker motor would not turn, indicating an issue with the icemaker itself. Ordering the icemaker and rescheduled the customer to 8/27. No parts were installed.; ordrng 1 W11700250 (Icemaker)"

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is making a beeping noise. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit worked great after the last repair for about two weeks and then it made a beeping noise when he went to dispense ice. He advised that it was beeping at him for quite a while, and was flickering lights on the user interface. He stated that it stopped after a few hours and has been working fine over the past few days since he called in. However, he wanted to have it checked because it sounded a lot like it did previously. I tested the ice and water functions and could not get the issue to replicate. I ran the unit through diagnostics and checked all components. I found all components working and operating as designed without replicating the failure. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Joe SR# 7739769439. He had me specifically run back through the DC loads to ensure that there was not a DC short. We ran all fans, lights, ice maker, and damper control without a loss of power. He advised that it could be an electrical supply issue, but he could not fault the machine because all the components were working and operating without causing a failure. He advised that generally speaking, if there was a DC Short within the unit, it would happen every time one specific component was working. He advised to have the customer take a video of what is happening and try to reset power to see if it may be an issue with his electrical supply. He advised to make no repair at this time. Call complete. No parts were installed."

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is making abnormal noises. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that after the last repair, the unit has been making a ticking noise. I did confirm a slight ticking noise coming from what appeared to be the back of the unit. As soon as I pulled the unit out, I found the ticking stop. I found the issue was with the tags and tape that was on the power cord tapping against the back of the unit due to the condenser fan airflow coming out of the back of the unit. I take everything down and push the unit back. I found no abnormal sounds present anymore. The unit is now working and operating as designed. Call complete. No parts were installed."

The service was efficient and the serviceman was polite.
I would have rated this overall service higher if, #1 the upper rack attachment on the right was difficult for the serviceman to get off. Then when putting it back together it was all of a sudden broken and cannot be raised. Not sure if he broke it but it does raise the question!
#2 When I spoke with Jenn Air Customer Service to schedule this call they said no cost to us at all. Your serviceman said the office said there will be a $169 diagnostic charge. So I had to call Jenn Air and they confirmed no cost to me. This is very suspect to me. I expect the absolute integrity and highest level of service and these 2 items give me pause.
