Arrived on site for lg icemaker leaking. I inspected the unit and work area. I found the ice bin iced over. I cleared the ice and tested the dispenser door. I found it sealing properly. I inspected the icemaker and found it in good condition. I inspected the fill tube and found it covered in calcium causing it to change the flow of water. I cleaned off the calcium of the fill tube and reassembled the unit. I tested the icemaker fill and found it working properly. The calcium build up was changing the flow of water making the ice maker leak.

I pressed the test key and the ice maker began to harvest and then it filled with water. I retested and it operated as designed. I could see the tray sticking on the left side, but would eventually work itself free and harvest completely. Customer advised that since it operated in test mode twice, they would monitor the ice maker and if it continues to fail, they would contact our office and schedule service No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I found the back left corner of the glass cooktop was broken (photo). I had my customer sign a waiver of damages from removing glass cooktop. I raised the cooktop to find the elements attached to the cooktop. I researched the glass cooktop and found it discontinued. I advised the customer of my findings and advised the cooktop is discontinued. Also advised that if I move forward with repairs, there is a potential that with the cooktop already broken, there could be more damage done trying to replace the element. Customer advised that the unit is old and theyll replace the unit.. Job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect washer error codes. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error codes F8E1 & F9E1. Cleared the codes and continued with testing. I found the valve not opening fully and not allowing enough water into the drum (F8E1). Once the drain pump came on, it was loud and struggling to drain the water (F9E1). Stopped testing and pulled the unit out and got access to the drain pump. I removed the pump filter and found a large amount of debris inside the filter (photo). Cleared the debris and re-installed the filter to the pump. I removed the water hoses and found a large amount of debris inside the valve screens (photo).Removed and replaced the valve and retested. Unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Ran unit longer and tracked noise to the plastic cover on the mag area. If you put any pressure on the plastic guide, sound stops. Sound is just the guide faintly tapping from airflow. Readjusted and reinstalled all items in the area, noise is still there, just veri faint, and is just an operational noise. No functions affected. I confirmed the customers complaint and checked Internet. Found the gear case had dropped again and had destroyed the cam causing the issue of not being able to shift properly. Went to call Techline and Found the Techline was closed. Replace the gearcase and cam again and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete.

While testing, I checked the amp draw of the components and found the element pulling 7-9amps during wash & drying cycles of diagnostics. At the end of testing, the unit operated as designed. I advised the customer that the unit is operating properly and that it will always have some moisture/condensation after a wash cycle due to the design of the unit. "Arrived to inspect no operation. I found the unit control locked and the extra rinse button would not disengage the control lock until I unplugged it and then reapplied power. After disabling the control lock, the unit operated normally and I was able to enter service test mode. F8E1 was stored and I cleared it. The unit operated as designed within service test mode and I advised the customer to use less detergent, the lowest line on any liquid detergent fill cup/cap will be sufficient for their use. No leaks observed during service, operational test good."

The customer advised that the unit went off balance and was stuck doing nothing but making a buzzing noise and would not turn on. Did confirm the customers complaint and held the cancel button until the control clicked. Ran the unit through diagnostics and found no stored air codes. Ran the unit through an auto test in the unit ran as designed. Did find the unit on level so I did adjust the feet on the washer. I explain to the customer that any off-balance loads can sometimes do this where itll be stuck in a drain and all they need to do is cancel out the cycle before selecting a new one. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.

I did find the overflow tray had signs of several overflows and the customer was using pods with well water and pre-rinsing. I advised them with detergent type and amount and ran the unit through two more tests and it operated as designed. No leaks observed during service."

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher noises. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit will make a loud groaning noise during a wash cycle. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested. During testing, I heard the groaning noise and opened the unit door to find a large amount of suds in the bottom of the tub. I advised the customer that the suds issue could be causing the motor to work harder causing the noise. I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, detergent use. I recommended the customer change detergents and monitor the unit and if it continues to call it in for service, at which time, the sump/motor assembly will be replaced.
