Arrived onsite for a range with a knob that turns past off like it is stripped. I found the left rear burner knob to be the issue. I found the knob in good condition and the valve stem twisted but the valve worked properly. I straightened the valve stem and now the off position is in the correct spot. "Arrived on site for oven overheats. Upon arrival test unit by preheating oven to 350. Unit preheated,then began heat cycles. Used thermocouple to get temperature readings. Ran several cycles. Got an average of 331 on the low end and 359 on the high end, total cook average is 345. A five degree difference is within specifications. Cannot duplicate issue of overheating. Customer must know that anything thermometer other than a thermocouple cannot be used to calibrate unit. Dial type and infrared are the most common thermometers used to test ovens but cannot due to the way ovens heat cycle. Job complete"

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that wont spin. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit will start to fill but then when it goes to wash, the unit will run for a few minutes and then shut down and drain out the water. Advise the unit does not go through the spin cycle. Around the unit to diagnostics and found an F0 E3 (overload), F7 E1 (basket speed fault) and F7 E6 (motor open) error code. I ran the unit through diagnostics and found all tests, pass and diagnostics except for agitation. Found that they were in the unit was trying to agitate, it was spinning the whole basket. I checked underneath and checked the shifter. Found the shifter in good condition. Checked the cam, and found the cam broken on the top, indicating that the gearcase had dropped and broke the cam. I went ahead and replaced both gearcase and cam and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete."

"Ive been on site for a dryer that is not heating again. Inspected unit and work area. Did confirm the customers complaint and found no heat coming from the dryer in a timed dry cycle. I checked voltage to the unit and found proper voltage and polarity. Disassembled the unit and found the thermal cut off open again. Checked the heater for continuity and found continuity across the heater terminals, but none across the heater to heater housing chassis. I visually inspected the heater and found no issues with the heater or sagging from the coils. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Bruce SR# 7738376659. He had me run a few tests and advised after one of the airflow tests that there is still a restriction in the venting. He advised to go ahead and replace the thermal cut off and the high limit thermostat, but that the customer is going to need to have their vents looked at again due to improper airflow movement. I replaced both parts and test of the unit. The unit is working operating as designed. I advised the customer to hold off on using the dryer until they have their venting company come back out or to run it without the vent hose attached and use another venting solution. Call complete."

Arrived onsite for dryer with no power. On inspection had no power to the terminal block. Went to the breaker boxs and the white Handel GFI breaker was tripped. Informed the customer on the issue with the GFI breaker and how to resolve it. The unit is operating as designed.

The customer advised that they have not used the dishwasher in several months but that prior to the dishwasher was working fine. I did confirm the dishwasher it sounded like it was trying to drain, but no water was flowing through the garbage disposal. I checked the garbage disposal and asked if the customer had that recently replaced. He advised that he had several months ago but couldnt remember the time line of that. I asked if they had ever used the dishwasher while he had the garbage disposal and he advise he didnt believe so. I checked the garbage disposal where the drain hose connects onto and found at the knockout punch had not been knocked through. I went ahead and knocked out the knockout punch and tested the dishwasher. Found the dishwasher draining and working as designed. The unit is working an operating as designed. Call complete."

I tested temps in the FC=4 degree and RC=35 on top shelf/37 degrees in middle shelf. I found the settings, on the UI at FC=1 of 5 & RC=4 of 5. Tested the unit and it is operating as designed. I reset the setting to the manufacturer recommended settings of 3 of 5 in both compartments and locked the UI as the customer does not use the dispensers. Installed parts, powered on unit and watched it run for 10 mins, unit is sensing properly, advised customer to monitor and if loads are a variety of different fabrics to use timed dry instead of sensing dry. Arrived onsite for a refrigerator to replace previous diagnosed parts. The customer verified that when the paddles for ice or water are pushed the UI does light up but it will not dispense either when it acts up. I replaced the UI for this. The customer stated the icemaker had stopped working and some stuff in the freezer had started thawing. I found the FC temp only at 17 degrees and the RC at 37 degrees. I explained to the customer this is the reason there was no ice. I found the left side of the baskets in the FC with frost build up on them and the evaporator cover with some ice blocking the lower vents. I found the coil with frost about 3/4 thick across the top of the coil. I explained this looks like the door had been left cracked but the customer stated the door has never been left open. I found no issues with the freezer door gasket and found it sealing good. I removed the ice from the vents and top of the coil then tested the refrigerator. I watched the FC get down to 8 degrees and it was still cooling and dropping. The icemaker has no error codes and will go thru a harvest. The mold has water in it. I explained to the customer that now with the temps correct the icemaker will start working again. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke with Austin SR# 7738384319. Austin agrees with the UI replacement with what was found and what the refrigerator was doing. No other repairs needed at this time.

"Arrived on site for a dryer that wont start. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised of the unit will start, but that it will only run as long as you hold the push the start button. I did confirm the customers complaint and check voltage to the unit. Found proper voltage and polarity. I checked the voltage under a load when trying to start the dryer and did find voltage on the line one side drop from 122.8 V to 113 V. However, the unit still had enough voltage to start. I checked voltage coming from the timer to the push to start and found 122 V. When pressing the push to start saw the voltage drop to 114.1 V, but still was being supplied power. Went to the outcoming voltage connector at the push to start and found voltage activating when the push to start was pressed, but would not hold after the push to start was let go indicating an issue with the push to start relay. I replace the push to start switch assembly and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived onsite for washer making a noise. On inspection found that the bolt for the rotor was on the ground. There was oil on the side of the unit. Installed new gearcase,clutch,slider and rotor. Calibrated the unit and ran the unit In diagnostic mode. The washer completely the diagnostic cycle with out any issues. No water leaks detected during service."

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator with condensation built up inside. Upon further inspection, when the customer opened the RC door, I found all shelves clear and after approximately 10 seconds, condensation built up as expected. Closed the door and tested temps in the RC=39 degrees on setting of 37 and FC=3 degree on setting of 0. Tested thermistors and they are all within ohms testing range and VDC range. Tested the temps in the kitchen in front of the unit and it was 73 degrees. Placed my flashlight inside the RC & FC sections to check for gaps in the door gaskets and found none. Contacted techline and spoke to Andrew and advised of the recent service calls/findings, complaint and my findings today. Andrew advised that its normal to have condensation on the shelves when opening the doors due to the cold temps inside the unit colliding with the warm humid temps in the kitchen that are entering the unit when the door is open. Andrew advised to not replace any parts and advise the customer the unit is operating as designed and advised the previous SR# 7738208359 would be updated with todays info. I advised my customer of my conversation with techline and my findings in testing the unit and that the condensation build up is normal. I advised the customer that their receipt notes would have the file number included and if they had further issues they would need to contact the manufacturer and provide the SR#7738208359. No water leaks observed during service and no repairs made at this time, job completed."

Arrived on site for dryer making a loud noise. Upon arrival confirmed issue and after disassembly I traced issue back to the front glide bearing on drum popped out of place but not fully broken. Repaired glide and found noise no longer present. Call complete

"Arrived on site for an ice machine that its making a loud bang sound. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that he wasnt sure if this was a problem or not as he just noticed that the unit makes a loud bang sound fairly on through the icemaking cycle. He advised that after he heard it initially, he had turned off the ice machine. Around the unit through diagnostics and found all portions of the machine working and operating properly. When the unit got to the gas valve, the unit made a popping sound, and I did advise the customer that the popping sound is most likely either being caused by the gas valve or the sheet of ice when it is trying to drop the ice slab. I did advise the customer that these are normal sounds and that the unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete."

So for a microwave that is not turning on. Inspected unit and work area. I did confirm the customers complaint and found the microwave completely dead. Checked the outlet and found proper voltage. Unplugged the unit and checked the thermal fuse. Found it open. I checked all the door switches and found the primary and a lock switch. I had a hard time of making and breaking and was showing consistent continuity. I went ahead and replace the interlock assembly and the thermal fuse and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed and was able to heat up a cup of water within 30 seconds. Call complete.

"WTW5057LW0 Arrived to inspect noise and shaking. I found the legs were not set correctly, causing the basket to sit in the front right corner of the cabinet, resting against the inner walls. The belt was able to be slipped on the driven pulley, causing the squealing noise. Correction of both issues and calibration of the unit, regained all normal functions. "On arrival verified complaint of gas smell coming from the unit during bake. Ran bake cycle and found Sutherland flame color and size are correct. Checked all fittings on regulator and coils and found no gas leaking from there using bubbles and meter. On,y gas to be detected was at the air chute. Customer states possible bake shutting off and not reigniting. Did not replicate this issue. Will retest on return after replacing door glass. Door glass was broken by technician during course of moving the unit. Ordering front glass assy. Wpw10634271. Rescheduled for 2/8. Customer request sooner service. Arrived on site to install new grates. Found new grates broken. Will need to order new grates office to reschedule ; ordrng 1 W11214957 (Grate)

"Arrived on site to inspect microwave oven wall combo unit error codes. Upon further inspection, I found the display showing F9E0-wiring issue. I cleared the code and F1E1-internal oven ACU failure error code appeared. Following the tech sheet for the error codes, I removed and replaced the main ACU and cleared the codes and tested. Unit is operating as designed. Job completed."

Arrived onsite for unit not pulling air complaint and updated with a damper as the one installed was stuck. Advised customer on findings and advised nnthe pros and cons of a venthood vs. microwave venthood for long cooking.

"Arrived on site. Replaced the evaporator,compressor,drier and access valve,vacuumed system down unit kept vacuum recharged system to manufacture spec ran compressor test good frost formation on evaporator plate. Reassembled unit,ran diagnostics all test passed."

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Replaced both parts and tested the unit. The unit was working and operating as designed. The customer stated that she typically does not have the problem after the first cycle. She advised that usually its when she has run Two loads and the third load will start mentioning the check vent signal. I did inform her to run the unit to see if the unit still shows that error message later on. I advised the customer that I would call her back within a few hours to check on the dryer. When I called back to the customer, the customer advised the u it dried her clothes and he working as designed. Call complete."

Arrived onsite and found unit operating off balance with a heavy bedding load. No error codes. Suspension is good. Advised customer on heavy loads and off balance symptoms and solutions. All checks good.

Arrived on site to test unit for F8E4. Found water in the float. Removed water and found bad gasket. Replaced gasket test unit and unit test good job complete.

Arrived onsite and tested unit for gas leak. Gas company check house and found no leak and disassembled and tested dryer and found no leak. Tightened Leak checked all joints under pressure. Tested dryer operation. All checks good. Called and reported findings to safety. Advised utilizing a natural gas leak detector plug in in the adjacent hallway as a precaution and for peace of mind. "Arrived on site for unit not operating. Customer thought there was a problem with the jamb sensor and attempted to do himself and determined that was not the issue. Upon arrival test unit and is not powering on. Found cord to supply was not secure. Connection appears correct,but cord prongs are not straight. Corrected issue and test. Unit is operating as designed"

"Arrived on site to inspect wall oven door glass damage. Upon further inspection, the customer advised they did a self clean cycle and the top oven door inner glass shattered/exploded. I cracked the door,open and found glass inside the top oven and the inner door glass gone. I removed the bottom oven door and placed my towel on the floor at the base of the unit and vacuumed the glass from the lower oven. I vacuumed the glass from the upper oven and door and removed the door and cleaned the remaining glass. I disassembled the top oven door and vacuumed all of the glass from it. Installed a new inner door glass and reassembled the door and cleaned up the remaining glass. Tested the unit and it is operating as designed. Job completed."

Arrived on site for ice bucket clumping up. Customer had cleaned up icebox . Dispenser door closing properly . All fans are working . Ice maker harvested and filled properly . Fresh evap clean of any frost . Did find small amount of frost right side rail. Also found food item as that had fallen behind bins that may cause door closure issues and ice build up in icebox fan earlier . Instructed customer to keep an eye out for that .
