"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator no cool. Upon further inspection, the customer advised the unit is not cooling and not making ice. When I opened the FC door to test temps, I found a large amount of ice/frost built up on the FC evaporator cover (photo). I placed my flashlight at the bottom of the FC section and found a small gap in the gasket/mullion area. I placed my flashlight at the top of the FC section and closed the FC door and found a very large gap in the top right corner of the FC door gasket and center mullion (photo). I adjusted the top mullion and center mullion and filled the gap between the liner and chassis with manufacturer approved silicone and tested door operations. I was able to get the gap closed (photo). I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the defrost function and the unit began to defrost as designed. Tested thermistors through the controls and found they are operating as designed. I had my customer sign the Waiver of damages from defrosting the refrigerator and recommended that they place towels around the unit to absorb any water that might overflow the evaporator pan and to leave the unit unplugged for 48 hours to allow the unit to defrost and then plug the unit in and allow it to cool for another 24 hours before placing food items back inside. I advised the customer to monitor the unit and if they find it not cooling again or find frost/ice built up on the freezer evaporator cover (back wall of freezer) to call our office to schedule service, at which time, returning tech will need to contact techline to report their findings. No water leaks observed during service, job completed. No parts replaced."

"Arrived on site to diagnose washer that is not spinning clothes out. Examined unit and tested. Found unit doesn't spin and just bangs / pops / and has belt noise. I found the suspension is worn out and springy, and the hub is so worn out the basket can actually be rocked into the tub. The washplate can be freely turned on both the gearcase shaft, and it's also loose. Washplate is also failed. Unit has evidence of constant overloading, belt is also screaming on the cam and has left deep black marks. If you try and spin or agitate the unit just screeches. Called third party team and advised unit needs massive repairs due to being overloaded / used in a worn out state. Received email from third party team that the extended warranty does not want to proceed with repairs. Parts that would need to be replaced - Washplate, Hub, Gearcase, Cam, Belt, possible motor / control / capacitor. No parts used. ; ordrng 1 W10528947 (Hub) and 1 W11130362 (Suspension) and 1 W10752283 (Washplate)"

"MVW7230HW1 Arrived to inspect noise. The customer advised the sound was similar to grinding gears. Service test mode had F6E3 and I cleared for testing, also attributing the stored error to the possibility of the error to gear case/motor issues and over-currenting, known to occasionally cause that error. During manual test modes, I could hear excessive gear noise at lower spin speeds. Inspection of the motor and gear case area reveled the presence of oil in an apparent recent leak, series of events. Further inspection revealed parts of a garment had wrapped around the upper shaft, damaging the inner seal and causing water to incur into the planetary drive area and subsequent loss of oil at the motor end. I moved and replaced the gear case and slider and then calibrated the control. Testing in automatic and manual modes proofed the issue as resolved and the unit operated as designed, with all functions present. No leaks observed during service."

WHIRLPOOL MICROWAVE

Job Details: 04/23/2024
"WMH78519LZ00 Arrived to instal previously ordered part. The part ordered by the prior tech was not for a microwave and I marked as incorrectly ordered. I diagnosed the shorted harness to the line VAC supply for the left side element, which had shorted direct to chassis under the upper air guide. The interlock assembly that had been recently replaced had catastrophically failed, due to the nature of the short to chassis and welded contacts together within a microswitch, permanently. I performed a temporary repair to the harness and the failed interlock switch and we will return with the correct parts. Installation of the fuse after the temporary repair allowed the unit to regain full operation. Office to contact the customer to arrange return service. ; ordrng 2 W11197766 (Interlock)s and 1 W11302364 (Harness, Main)"
