Always thorough and great service

I submitted a repair request over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday morning. Tony responded right away, confirming my repair request and scheduling for that Monday afternoon. Because Tony confirmed the repairs needed, Chase was prepared with the appropriate parts to make the repair that same day! I have used Appliance Express for both personal and business. As a Realtor it is great to have Appliance Express on my referral list as a reliable vendor.

arrived on site to inspect oven not working and the fan making a loud noise. Upon further inspection, I found that the top unit did not work, but the bottom unit was working. I placed the unit in diagnostics and it showed error codes for the door latch. I cleared the codes and tested the unit and the unit operated as designed. The customer advised that he was using the self clean mode and was set for five hours and during the cleaning he noticed that the room lights flickered and the unit stopped working. I advised the customer that the self clean only works on the unit 2 inches from the door so if there is any spilled food/grease on the bottom of the unit it's best to clean by hand. Customer advised that they weren't using self clean mode anymore. I inspected the fan at the back of the unit and you could see where it was rubbing against the screws that attach the fan motor. I adjusted the blades to the fan and tested and the unit stopped making the loud noise. Instructed customer on u

arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not drying dishes. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested. The unit did not show any error codes, so I continued with testing. The unit operated as designed and no error codes at the end of testing. I instructed the customer to turn their tap water on until it got extremely hot then turn the unit on in order to allow the hot water to go directly into the unit. Also, I instructed the customer to use a liquid or liquid gel and only use two teaspoons and continue to use rinse aid. No water leaks observed during service. Job completed.

arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not drying and leaving residue on dishes. Upon arrival, the customer advised that they use powder detergent and the dishes have residue on them at the end of the cycle. The customer advised that the unit is not heating also. I placed the unit in diagnostics and received error code 7/1, which is for no heating. I cleared the code and continued with diagnostics. Unit operated as designed and I tested the heating element by pouring water on it and it was very hot creating steam. There were no error codes at the end of diagnostics. The customer advised that they had a short power outage a few weeks ago. I advised the customer to use a liquid or liquid gel detergent and to use no more than two teaspoons at a time along with rinse aid, which they are using. Advised the customer that the heating element may have shut off due to the power outage or due to too much detergent use. No water leaks observed during service. Job completed.

arrived on site to inspect range flame sputtering. Upon further inspection, I turned the back middle burner on and could not recreate the issue . The customer had a video on his phone of what the burner was doing, but again, I could not recreate the issue. I tested the unit several times and it operated as designed. Also, the customer pointed out that the control panel was not attached properly. I could see where, during installation, the control panel had been knocked off the screws that holds it into place on the left side. I adjusted the control panel and it sits flush again. No gas leaks detected during service. Job completed.

Upon arrival, the customer advised that the left front valve was sticking in the on position and her husband had to use pliers to turn it off so that it would not leak gas. arrived on site to inspect venthood not working. Upon arrival, the customer advised that the unit fan would turn on, but while on high it would intermittently slow down as if it were being turned down. Upon further inspection, I turned the unit fan on high and found that after a few mins the fan acts as if it were slowing down or being turned down to medium or low speed. arrived on site to inspect rc not cooling. Upon further inspection, I found that there was ice buildup on the evaporator. This unit has been service before and the Evap cover and thermistor were installed. I pulled the unit from the wall and checked the drain tube and found it to be approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inches gapped from the bottom of the chassis. I used manufacturer approved silicone and sealed the gap and advised the customer to defrost the unit to get the ice off of the evaporator and the unit should operate as designed after defrosting. No water leaks observed. Job completed.

arrived on site to inspect ice maker not dispensing ice. Upon further inspection, I found that the dispenser was not dispensing ice and the auger motor was whining loudly. I found that the ice bin had a large block of ice in it frozen to the ice maker and the auger. I used my steamer to melt some of the ice in order to get the ice bin out. I verified the ice maker was dispensing water at which time the ice maker overflowed due to water already being in the ice maker. I removed the ice maker and cleaned the ice from it and re-installed it and tested the unit. The unit did not overflow and the ice maker motor was working fine. I tested the unit with the ice bin in place and it operated as designed. It appeared that the actuator arm did not raise to stop the ice maker and in the process it continued to dispense water into the ice maker causing it to overflow. No water leaks observed during service. Job completed.

arrived on site to inspect dryer not heating well. Upon further inspection, I verified voltage at the outlet and terminal block on the unit. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked for error codes. I checked the vent hose coming out of the unit and found it crimped together so I shaped it open. I found error codes 4/3 and 4/4. I had already verified voltage to the unit. I cleared the codes and ran the unit in diagnostics. No further error codes. I used my vent testing materials and tested the venting and found that the unit is venting well. I used my thermal couple to verify temperature inside at the vent which got up to 208. I verified ohms at all the components...fuse, cutoff, and element. I questioned the customer on use and found that the unit is being operated on different modes for different items. I found nothing wrong with this unit at this time and advised the customer on proper use of the unit. No lint observed during service.

arrived on site to inspect cooktop right side burners not igniting correctly. Upon further inspection, I found that when both right side knobs/valves are turned to ignite they have to be pushed all the way down in order for the Ignitor to work. I tested both left knobs/valves and when I turned them to spark the Ignitor I did not have to push the knows all the way down. I removed the Ignitor wiring harness from the right rear valve and removed the harness from the left rear valve and placed it on the right rear valve and tested. I did not have to push the knob all the way down in order for the Ignitor to spark. I am ordering a wiring harness and right rear valve and will return with the pre-diagnosed right front valve.
