arrived on site to inspect dryer making loud noise. Upon further inspection, I turned the unit on and could hear a loud screeching noise. I removed the front panel and then removed the drum and using my jumper wire, I jumped the door switch and turned the unit on to get a better idea of where the noise was coming from. It sounded as if the noise was coming from the motor so I turned it by hand and could hear the screeching noise. I removed the back of the unit and the air vent to expose the motor wheel and found a bra wire logged in the wheel. I removed the wheel and tested the unit and the noise was gone. Due to the rollers being dirty and making some squeaking noises while testing, I removed and replaced the dryer kit and put t(e unit back together and tested ad the unit operated as designed and very quiet. No lint observed during service, job completed.

arrived on site to inspect microwave door not latching. Upon further inspection, I found that the microwave door latch is not catching and keeping the door closed. It appears that the spring came off of the latch. I removed the door and then removed the inner trim and found that the hook that the spring hooks on to was broken. Being as the door is discontinued, I used my hole punch and made a small hole in the base of the spring hook on the door latch and hooked the spring through the hole and hooked the spring through the hole on the door and tested. The latch retracted up and down like it's supposed to. I re-installed the trim to the door and reattached the door to the unit and closed it and tested the unit. Unit operates as designed. Job completed. I contacted the customer by phone since they were not available for service or to sign the receipt and advised of my findings and what I did to correct the issue. Job completed.

arrived on site to inspect oven making poof sound. Upon further inspection, I started the unit on 350 Bake mode and could hear the gas turn on and the flame ignite. Once the unit reached 350 degrees, the flame shut off and it cooled briefly then kicked back on. The poof noise was the gas igniting. I found nothing wrong with this unit. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed.

arrived on site to inspect washer not turning off. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked for error codes. Error code 8/3 appeared. I cleared the error code and continued with testing. During testing, I found a large amount of detergent suds inside the unit which tells me that the customer is using too much detergent and goes along with error code 8/3 (overflow condition). At the end of testing the unit operated as designed with no error codes at the end of testing. I recommended that the customer cut back on detergent use especially since they have a water softner. I advised the customer that due to too much detergent in the unit, the unit will automatically stop and turn the drain pump on and the drain pump will remain on until all water or suds are drained out of the unit. No water leaks observed during service, job completed.

arrived on site to inspect dryer not turning on. Upon further inspection, i turned the timer on and could hear it ticking. When I pressed the start button, nothing happened just like the previous service call. I checked ohms at the fuse and it was opened. I checked ohms at the element and it too was open. I verified voltage at the outlet and at the terminal block, but I noticed that the red wire connection at the terminal block was oxidized and burnt. I checked the plug to the outlet and the left prong was burnt. I could not verify airflow inside the unit due to it not operating. The vent tube goes up to the roof of the house and I recommended to the customer that they have the vents cleaned professionally due to the possibility of the vents being clogged with lint which if that's the case, it would cause the heating element to overheat and burn out and cause the fuse to short out. I am ordering an element and will return with all pre-screened parts and scheduled return service for 08/

arrived on site to inspect dryer not working. Upon further inspection, I found the unit unplugged and the cord on the unit was the wrong cord. The cord itself was to a GE dryer. I advised the customer that they needed a Whirlpool approved four prong cord that has the round prong on top, the two straight prongs on the sides and the upside down "L" shaped prong on the bottom. I verified ohms to the components fuse, cutoffs, element. No lint observed during service, job completed.

arrived on site to install four prong power cord to a dryer. Upon further inspection, I found that the unit had a three prong cord and needed a four prong cord installed along with the dryer vent tube. I quoted the customer DR100 $129.99 for labor and $32.71 for the our prong cord for a total including tax of $176.12. The customer agreed to the install and paid in full. arrived on site to inspect dryer making loud noise. Upon further inspection, I hand turned the drum to see if I could duplicate the noise and as I turned the drum, I found a piece of metal chain hanging out from the inner edge of the drum. I removed the front of the unit to expose the drum liner and found a piece of chain with a plastic ball at the end of it which was rubbing against the drum and chassis. I removed the debris and re-installed the front/door of the unit and tested. The unit operated as designed. I quoted the customer DR100 99.99 for the service/diagnostics fee and with tax the total was $108.24, which the customer paid in full. No lint observed during service, job completed.

arrived on site to inspect washer not working. Upon further inspection, I found that the unit was full of water almost to the top of the tub. I attempted to place the unit in diagnostics, but the unit was in flood mode and the drain attempted to kick on, but sounded as if something was preventing it from coming on. Using my wet vac, I pumped out approximately 12 gallons of water. Once I was done, I removed the drain pump and found a piece of metal wedged against the impeller keeping it from spinning and draining the water out of the unit. I removed the metal debris and re-installed the drain pump and tested the unit. As soon as I plugged the the outlet, the drain pump kicked on. Once the unit stopped draining, I placed the unit in diagnostics and cleared the error code and tested. Unit operated as designed, no water leaks observed during service. Job completed.

Arrived on site to inspect cooktop ignitors constantly sparking. Upon further inspection, I found that the left front and rear ignitors continued to spark even after igniting the flame and would not stop. I opened the cooktop up to expose the wiring harness and modules and took the connector of the left rear burner Ignitor and connected it to the middle burner spark module and tested. The Ignitor turned off when I turned the knob to do such. I tested the left front Ignitor the same way and got the same results. I quoted the customer $164.99 for both spark modules and CO370 $179.99 for service/labor fees for a total including tax of $552.04. The customer agreed to the repair and paid in full. I removed and replaced the left front and left rear spark modules and tested and they operated as designed. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed.

arrived on site to inspect refrigerator ice maker not working. Upon arrival, the customer advised that the ice maker has not worked since he moved into the house. I checked the water line in the back of the unit and the water was in the off position. I turned the water on and verified the ice maker was working by using my jumper wire between T and H and the motor began to actuate. At the end of the cycle, the water dispensed into the reservoir and began to make ice. I advised the customer of my findings and also advised to dump the first two batches of ice due to me having my hands on the unit. No water leaks observed during service, job completed.
