Appliance Express back office experience

This is 3rd time I talk to office support. When I called for my previous support call, I requested to speak to manager because I was not getting a straight answer about scheduling the service. The back office is an area where improvements can be made.

KFIS29PBMS00 kitchenaid refrigerator Arrived on site to test unit for frost build up in rc. Found ice build up at rear adapter on return air gasket. No frost on ff evap. Unit maintaining temps properly. Will need gaskets and adapter. Sw approved 2/27

WRF535SWHW00 Arrived on site to test unit for door issues. Found after leveling unit that doors were uneven front to back. Unable to correct issue. Ordering doors for return. Office to schedule directly.

Jennair oven JJW3830DS00, Arrived on site to diagnose an oven that will not update with Jenn air through Wi-Fi. Tested unit and found Wi-Fi board not operating properly and preventing update. Replaced control panel and tested unit. Found unit is now connected to jennair service properly and all is operating properly at this time.

WRT311FZDM00 arrived to install part. Removed and replaced existing extension and tested. During service, I found large amount of moisture on the ceiling of fc. The left side of the fc door gasket was gapped one quarter inch along its entirety. I was able to re-bed the gasket and get it to seal correctly, through multiple tests. Advised customer to contact us if excessive moisture persists within the chassis. Operations are good; no leaks; all connections dry.

Our service call and diagnosis fee is $99.99 on most items.

This includes the trip to the home and a complete diagnosis of your unit regardless of time. Parts and labor are extra. Labor is calculated using a national flat rate labor guide.

Our office will contact you the afternoon before your scheduled service date with your timeframe that you can expect the technician to arrive. We do require confirmation of the timeframe prior to arriving to your home.


Even though we provide a timeframe for your appointment, we also allow you to track your technician’s progress allowing you to better plan out the rest of your day!


If your unit is under (1) year of age, you will need to reach out directly to the brand of your appliance. Their customer service will issue a dispatch number authorizing us to repair the product. We need this to be able to bill the appropriate party for services.

If your unit is over (1) year of age, and has an extended warranty, you must contact the extended warranty company first prior to setting up a service appointment with us. The phone number you need to call can be found on your extended warranty certificate. If you are unable to locate that, please contact the dealer in which you purchased the unit from, and they should be able to provide the appropriate information on your extended warranty.

Single family home use only. Your product must be installed as per manufacturer guidelines and properly maintained to be eligible for our warranty.

*Only applies to service call if there is a completed repair. Service is only guaranteed for 30 days in any other circumstance.

It was frustrating, at first, that the earliest available appointment was a week out, and then it was cancelled due to the assigned tech being out ill. However, when the appointment did happen a few days later, Jonathan was fantastic. He was courteous, quick, and did a great job of explaining what the issue was and how we can help prevent future issues like it. He also gave us some great advice on how to ensure the rest of our appliances are functioning the best they can. Thanks Jonathan!
