Arrived onsite for a microwave with burn marks. The customer stated the previous tenant melted the turntable ring and shattered the turntable. They replaced both but there is a burn mark under the turntable on the cavity. I did find a burn mark on the paint of the cavity under the turntable about the size of a dime but it was still smooth and only requires sanding and touch up paint. I tested the microwave and found it putting out a 1000 watts and working as designed. The customer is going to touch the spot up themselves. Found Bake element 22.6 ohms, broil element 16.1 ohms, 1.086k ohms. Found charred food debri in bottom of oven that had caused smoke. Also found front two large burners of cooktop had oil/grease food debri had spilled onto burners and cooked onto glass. Reported findings to whirlpool safety team sr# 7737328997. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed part. Inspected unit and work area. I replaced the right front burner and tested the unit. Still had the same issue with the inner coil turning on, but the exterior coil would not turn on. Check voltage and checked, continuity through the harness, and found proper, continuity and voltage at the element. Went ahead and replace the wire harness just in case and test the unit again. Still had the same issue. Spoke to JC and was advised that we would need to contact the extended warranty over this issue due to the fact that switch, wiring, harness, and element have been replaced once or twice each. At this time, we have replaced everything in the circuit to fix this issue and cannot guarantee a proper fix. The office will need to contact the extended warranty to find an alternate resolution."

Got authorization for the infinite switch controls but the customer then explain that he also had an issue with a pop in the back side of his range, and that it has been working, but didnt know if that would be a problem. Check the terminal block and found the terminal block completely blown with the red L2 lines almost touching the back panel. "Arrived onsite for oven not heating. Talking to the customer found out she just had the 1yr warranty walk through and the house inspector said that the ovens were not heating correctly. I put in the temperature probe and the unit heated to 202? and then cooled down to 323? on the first heat up. The second it went,up to 383? and back down to 318? the unit is operating as designed from the factory. The inspector used a laser temperature gun to get the temps. I informed the customer that those take the temperature of the metal and not ambient air temperature that is in the oven. I showed the customer the difference, I used my laser temperature gun and took the temperature of the back oven wall 287? I then took the temperature of the front rack and the temperature was 391? the unit is operating as designed."

I found the sensor in the recirculating pump was not recognizing the fill and the water would overflow until the control timed out after 2 minutes. "Arrived on site for oven not heating correctly. Upon arrival test oven by preheating to 350 using thermocouple. Unit preheated to 394 on thermocouple and began heat cycling. Got average of 333 on the low and average of 366 on the high , averaging 349.5 at cooking temperature. Unit is operating as designed. I believe incorrect thermometer is being used. Cannot use dial type or infrared type thermometers. Only thermocouple can be used.job complete"

"Arrived on site to inspect washer off balance. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit is diagnostics showing no error codes. Continued with testing and the unit operated as designed until spin mode and the unit began to shake vigorously and the tub ring was banging on top panel and sides. I raised the top panel and found the tub ring damaged and the basket is off on spinning. When I pushed down on the tub assembly and let it go, the tub came back up but pulled towards the front of the unit. I am ordering the tub ring and returning tech to replace the gearcase, cam, suspension rods and tub ring. No water leaks observed during service and office to schedule return service. ; ordrng 1 W11550886 (Tub ring) and 1 W11428524 (Capacitor)"

Arrived on site for a washing machine that is going off balance. Inspected unit and work area. Checked underneath and did not find any issue with oil leaks of any kind. I ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F0 E5 (off balance load). Found the unit sitting on level with the tub leaning against the front and left cabinet. Adjust the feet to level out the washer. Tested the suspension and found suspension was shot. Replaced the suspension and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete.

"Arrived onsite for sealed system failure. Upon arrival inspected unit. Found odor coming from unit. Found oil in drip tray in compressor compartment. Called tech line for assistance. Spoke to Joe- SR#7737356556. Tech suggests oil coming from leak in evaporator and dripping down into the drip tray. Sent pics. Tech recommended replacing compressor, evaporator and dryer, also flushing system with nitrogen. Replaced all components as directed. Pulled vacuum and held. Charged per spec. Pressure at 3/145psi frost pattern developed and unit is cooling. Customer will monitor temperature over 24-48hrs. Job complete"

The customer advised of the unit only seems to leak around 15 to 20 minutes into the cycle at the door and then will not leak again there after. Checked the unit and checked all the spray arms. Found several of the spray arms with stuff clogged in the spring arm, potentially causing uneven spray patterns. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator noises. Upon further inspection, the tenant advised that when they get water or open the doors, the unit gets very loud. Tested the water dispenser and the unit operated as designed with no abnormal noises. I pulled the unit out and it began to make a loud vibrating/rattling noise. I was able to pinpoint the noise to the condenser coil at the bottom front of the unit. I found the cushion in between the coil and bracket was crushed. I placed a pad in between the coil and bracket and the noise stopped. Placed the unit back in its space and leveled the unit and it began to make the noise again. Pulled the unit out and removed the back panel to find the cushion between the condenser coils and bracket at the back of the unit was missing. I placed a pad in between the coils and bracket on both sides and the noise stopped. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"WRS315SDHM08 Arrived to inspect cooling issue. I found the unit cooling, but the evaporator was completely frozen and airflow was stopped. I found the defrost element wiring incorrectly routed and normal evap icing had forced the connector apart, rendering the element inoperative. I was able to correct the connector issue and correctly routed the wiring. I removed the ice from the evaporator and tested. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice. The customer stated it is erratic. It hadnt made ice for six days and I found a batch that had harvested in the bucket before we arrived. I tested the icemaker and all functions were working as designed. I found where a cube had stuck to the bale arm and caused the issue. I found a bunch of frost build up in the bucket and in the ice box housing caused by the ice door leaking warm air. I replaced the ice door with W11423781 ice door from truck stock. I removed all the frost and the piece of ice on the bale arm. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making abnormal sounds during operation. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that since they bought the machine, the unit has not worked properly and is not actually washing the clothes. I checked the agitator, and found the agitator extremely loose. went to lift up on the agitator and found it completely came off, even though the bolt was still inside. Checked the inner part of the agitator and found the spline was good, indicating the bolt had never been screwed down at the factory. I tightened the agitator bolt onto the driveshaft and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete."
