DRYER WHIRLPOOL LDR3822PQ3 Arrived onsite for dryer that just buzzes when the start button is pressed. Upon inspection I found the drum around the edge had been rubbing against something and scraped off all of the paint around the edge and it is chipping and flaking. I tested continuity at the element and it tested good. I inspected the drive motor and found that 1 of the windings was broken. The unit will need a drive motor and drum for repair. Ordering drum (3391834) returning with the drive motor (W10396037) control (WPW10476828) element (WP3403591) just in case. I left the unit disassembled for a quicker repair process on return visit. The customer advised that the unit is no longer making ice. I found the ice maker was getting voltage but the motor was not turning. I found the left side door slightly protruding. Customer states that it wasn’t protruding before the door was replaced. I explained hat the new gasket needs time to break in but with that large gap it will cause issues. DRYER WHIRLPOOL WED4815EW1 Arrived on site and tested operation. Found motor just humms when start button pressed. Found motor was very hard to turn and making a rubbing sound. Found blower wheel seized to motor. Cut blower wheel off and installed new motor and blower wheel. Tested incoming voltage and found to be good. Found voltage changed after the load of the motor was placed on the unit. Took amp draw and found 16 amps at L1 and none on L2 when attempting to start motor. Called tech line and spoke to Scott #7729542791. Customer has a house electrical supply issue to dryer outlet. Turned breaker off to outlet and instructed customer that a licensed electrician will need to test the circuit under load to determine failure. Job complete

RANGE WHIRLPOOL WFE550S0HZ1 "Arrived on site to inspect range oven not holding temps. Upon further inspection, customer advised that they were cooking cookies at 400 degrees and the unit reached temp but dropped to 300 degrees and never came back up. Using my multimeter, I placed my thermal lead in the middle of the center rack and tested temps on Bake at 400 degrees. My reading at preheat was 396 degrees. My next five readings were 401, 368, 424, 381, 430 for an average temp of 400.8 degrees. I advised the customer of my findings and she questioned if I opened the door at all. I advised the customer that during testing, the door is not supposed to be open as it will effect the test. Customer advised that they opened for the door for a brief period of time to adjust the cookie sheets and when they closed the door, the temperature never came back up per their metal thermometer inside the unit. I demonstrated temp changes when opening the door by opening the door for approximately 30 sec

Inspected belt and found it is deteriorating found pulley on motor is broken. Motor is only mounted on one side and a bolt is loose inside cover/shield. Bolt is cross threaded and was never attached to gearcase during manufacturing. Attempted to thread the other bolt into gear case and the gear case threads also cross threaded this bolt. took pictures. Upon further inspection, customer advised that the lights turn off intermittently with the doors open; sometimes when getting water, the water doesn’t dispense; approximately five months ago, the unit stopped cooling and the customer cycled the power to the unit and it began to cool gain. I found the ice bin door fascia gasket badly crimped, the right RC door gasket torn, and found the left deli door control reservoir had a large amount of water/liquid inside causing the control to corrode and short and wires to fall apart. I inspected the deli harness and it was good as was the RC evaporator. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."
