"Arrived on site to inspect washer turning on by itself. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F6E Cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit operated as designed. Following the tech sheet for the error code, I tested the main control and UI and found the UI needs to be replaced. I accidentally turned the unit on and when I went to turn it off, the UI failed to respond. E the customer 4351 for parts ( covered by manufacturer). Customer agreed to the repair and in full with CC (4351 # 9A49K4). I removed and replaced the UI panel and retested and unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect upright freezer not cooling properly. Upon further inspection, I found the unit cool, but not freezing the items inside. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the compressor and fan and it is operating as designed. Tested the defrost and it too is operating as designed. I removed the evap cover and found the evaporator engulfed in icefrost (photos) as if there was an air leak. I advised the customer of my findings. I tested the element and its getting 120V and shows 37ohms. I inspected the door gasket and it is sealing properly. I recommended that the customer make sure that the door is sealing properly every time they close it and not to over pack the unit to where something will keep the door from closing. Customer the of 1554 (+) with CC (1554 # YVTT3L). No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Removed dryer and found major lint buildup in home dryer vent. Found washer spring retaining clip had came off and causing spring to come detached. Reinstalled spring and added zip tied to both retaining clips to keep in place. Reinstalled front bellow clamp. Performed diagnostics mode and tested operation for slow to water pressure coming from cold inlet valve. Will need to replace cold inlet valve to repair. Removed failed inlet valve and installed new. Assembled unit and performed diagnostics mode. Found unit operating as designed, no water leaks detected.

Arrived onsite for food freezing in the fresh food section top shelf. Temps while onsite were perfect 37 in fridge and 8f in freezer. Determined the cause of the excessive cooling of top shelf was due to the airways being blocked in freezer by product. Approx 10% efficiency. Instructed customer on findings and they were able to increase efficiency to approx 30% by shifting product. Was advised that customer usually has more product in freezer than is currently stored. Advised that blocking the airways in the freezer will result in irregularities like over cooling of the fridge during the cycle and ineffective cooling of freezer product. Customer may reach out to whirlpool to inquire about experienced design incompatibilities.

"Arrived on site for a dryer that is not drying clothes. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit was seemingly shutting off prior to the end of the cycle and had just rapidly counted down on any cycles other than time dry. I tested the unit and confirmed the customers complaint. Went through testing on the moisture sensor and exhaust thermistor. Found the exhaust thermistor reading 80?F which would be correct. I checked the moisture sensor and could not find resistance between the sensors but could not find resistance between the sensor and chassis ground. According to the text sheet, it didnt indicate that either of those parts were bad. Spoke to PR and was advised that the moisture sensor harness and potentially control would be at fault for this issue. Ordering parts and rescheduled customer to 5/4.; ordrng 1 WPW10298258 (Sensor harness) and 2 WP3387223 (Moisture Sensor)s and 1 W11089308 (Control)"

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making abnormal sounds during the wash cycle and is not spinning out clothes. Inspected unit and work area. Ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F0 E5 (off balance load), F7 E5 (shifter fault), and F7 E8 (motor stator over temperature) error codes. I ran the unit through manual agitation and spin and noticed the sound coming from underneath the unit. Attempted to remove the rotor and found the rotor would lean towards every direction but would not come off the driveshaft. Attempted to use a crowbar and flathead screwdriver to remove and was unable to do so even wiggling it from side to side. Spoke to JC and was advised that the unit would need a complete rebuild for repair including the gear case, stater, rotor, gasket, tub, clean out filter, and screws. Advise the customer of the situation and they advised they would prefer not to proceed forward with any repairs as they would prefer just to buy a new washer.

Customer advised that she ran a load of rugs inside of her washer and in the middle of the cycle the washer quit and would not unlock the lid. Confirm the customers complain and check voltage at the wall. Found proper voltage. Checked voltage to the Control and found 125 V going to the control. Found the control not sending voltage anywhere else. Checked my loads and found the drain pump out of rain showing five ohms when it shouldve been registering 15 to 20 ohms. Advise the customer she would need a new drain pump and control for the repair.
