REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF767SDEM01 "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator no cool. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit has been intermittently cooling and warming up. I tested temps in the FC=8 degrees and RC= 37 degrees. Checked both evaporators and both had good frost patterns. Ice maker cycled while present. Tested all fans in diagnostics and all are operating as designed. Thermistors checked good. Due to the intermittent issue, I removed and replaced the hv control. I found the condenser coils were dirty as well. Cleaned the coils and tested unit. Unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

When I went to test temps, I found the FC & RC sections extremely warm. I tested the unit in diagnostics and found all fans operating. When I tested the compressor in test 39, it never ramped up to speed. I tested amp draw to the compressor and found 2.98amps. The high line from the compressor to the condenser was extremely hot to touch and the suction line was room temp. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF736SDAM12 Arrived on site for refrigerator that was still not cooling properly after a prior main control repair for a defrost related issue. Upon arrival I found that the freezer still had a continuous defrosting problem and had ice build up all the way out past the outer wall of the freezer. I ran a diagnostics check test one through six to verify that the thermos serves in the fresh fruit and freezer section of both functioning fine and that the UI and main controller back we’re also sending power to where they need to be. I also verified that the unit could go into defrost mode indicating that the thermostat was opening and shutting as it needed to end to take me to Tips. CAlled tech line and spoke to Chris who said to pull unit out and test the rear power cable to see if it’s rattling on cabinet. Pulled unit out and vibration still present. Removed top panels and used several sticky pads to like the blower fan and surrounding contact areaS. Noise seemed to be gone. Once I put the panel above the fan on, noise came back. Added additional sticky pads to bottom of the panel and noise was reduced to almost gone. Reinstalled in cavity and noise remained low. Called tech line and spoke with Robert SR7728903112. Documented the noise and resolution and confirmed that if the noise returns there has to be a bend in the cabinet somewhere hard to find, since everything close to the fan is insulated. Ran microwave with a cup of water for 20 seconds. Heard the noise. Installed new roller and noise went away. Removed roller to check for surface areas that may be raised. Found a 1 1/2 inch scratch that was extremely hot to the touch in the path of the roller. This heat melted the wheels on the first roller. 2nd roller didn’t make noise because it hasn’t melted the wheels. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL GI0FSAXVY08 Rock on site for a fridge raider that was leaking water and dump all of the freezer door to shut all the way. Upon further inspection I found that freezer drain line was clogged water backflow and not allowing the freezer freezer freezer which then led to the door not shutting all the way. I was able to keep frosty clogged drain line and made sure that the unit was ceiling shop whenever the freezer door would be closed and everything is functioning as needed. I also found that with the water dispenser issue that the customer stated she was having was because of the fact of the reservoir filter head assembly was sealed shut and not allowing water to pass through the filter like I needed to so I replace the reservoir head assembly and retest of the dispenser unit is now working as designed with no leaks before during or after repair call complete

WASHER MAYTAG MVWX655DW1 Arrived on site to diagnose washer that his previously had multiple gear cases and other parts installed and are still making a squealing noise whenever he goes in the spin. Upon arrival I put the unit into a diagnostic mode and ran a spin test to verify the noise was still continuing. At that point I found that the noise was coming from the gear case and I call tech line and tech line walked me through narrowing down and verifying the gear case was the calls by removing the inner tub and running the unit in a spin cycle tech line was able to listen and verified if your case was also bad and they had suggested that instead of ordering the part from a vendor that we order a new gear case directly from whirlpool itself in order to resolve the issue. Tech line gave me the part number to the gear case that we need as well as the new substitute Part number. Upon arrival I called whirlpools tech line to get further instructions on how to proceed with the issue. What I found was at the little ice door flap that allows Weiss to dispenser the door does not seal properly lower patio to get up inside the ice bucket. Andy with awful text line also specified that this unit has a max ice default mode that is triggered whenever the ice bucket has sense of the bucket is not full and will put the max ice mode into affect causing the freezer to get down -10° or lower until the iceberg is for whirlpool stated that customers should probably try to use less ice and give it time to leave the max ice mode in order to allow the freezer to stay around the 0° Temp that it is set to. After inspecting the wire harness I found L1 & N at the ignition module had been pinched between the rear cover and a stand off plate that’s under the module causing the short to ground. After installing the necessary parts I was able to run a diagnostic test on the unit and try the fill agitating and draining cycles to see if everything was functioning that is when I found out that the drain pump itself is now receiving proper voltage down to it but internally the motor is stuck and allowing the drain pump directly drain the water out and it’s causing the drain pump to overheat. WASHER WHIRLPOOL MVWC416FW1 Arrived onsite for a washer not getting the clothes clean and very wet when it’s finished like it’s not spinning. I checked stored error codes and found an F3E1 & F5E3. I found the door lock working as designed. I ran a bulky sheets cycle and found when the unit was in sensing mode and the tub was almost to the proper water level the machine would turn off and the water would drain out. Upon arrival I checked for proper 240 V supply from the power outlet and confirm that it was functioning as designed by then remove the back panel the dryer and immediately found at the high limit thermal cut off device had pretty much all but vaporized to a Chris behind the dryer and had burned about 2 1/2 to 3 inches of wiring around that thermal cut off use which would require a full harness assembly rebuild plus a new thermal cut off due to the amount of damage and issues with the dryer

RANGE GE JB255DJ2WW Arrived on site for range that had damage wiring underneath cooktop area. Upon arrival and further inspection I was able to verify that all four of the receptacles to the burners up top on the cooktop are all starting to melt and burn away and damage wiring connections. I also verified and found that three out of the four infinite switches are not sending the proper 240 V to each burner like it should be and they fluctuate between 7 V and 120 V. The only infinite switch I found fully functioning was the back right 6 inch burner infinite switch. We will need to order and return with the three infinite switches that are needed as well as the four receptacle blocks. WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW5610XW2 Arrived onsite for washer not spinning and poor wash. Upon inspection I found the gentle agitation was not engaging. In high spin The gearcase sounded scratchy I inspected the bottom of the unit and drive system. I found very small amount of gearcase oil around the inner walls. The cam and pulley looked good. I recommended replacing the gearcase and drive system customer wanted to try the cam and shifter first and see how the unit operates. After replacing the cam and shifter I found that the drive motor was having intermittent failures and was extremely hot to the touch.

I gained access to the dryer and found 55 psi at the dryer, and the compressor building pressure. There is a restriction at the evaporator. I installed a UI dryer and the access port. I removed the failed evaporator, and ran a sweep charge through the system to clear out any possible restriction. I installed a new evaporator. I put a charge of 5.5 oz of r134a. I monitored pressure and they look good. I left the unit running, and found a full frost pattern on the evaporator. Unit is working as designed. Job complete."

Customer advised that they had a repair done for the same issue two months ago and the technician had advised them that one of their wires had split so the wire was spliced back together and taped. Checked wiring underneath door and could not find where wire had been spliced. Ran unit through diagnostics in the harvest mode and the unit would not turn on. Removed icemaker cover and tested voltage going to the icemaker. I was not getting very good readings with my multi meter. Replaced icemaker assembly and tested unit again. Still have the same result. Spoke to SW and was advised to check the harness underneath for resistance. Added a wire clamp onto both connectors and wrapped the clamp and connectors in electrical tape. Plugging it back in and tested unit in diagnostics. Unit is working as designed. Call complete.
