REFRIGERATOR KITCHENAID KRFF507HPS00 "Arrived on site to follow up on water leaking from ceiling of RC. Removed top panel and again saw water dripping from right side of filter housing. Replaced water line going from rear valve to filter housing, and replaced the double valve in the ceiling of the unit. Retested several gallons of fill, and also icemaker fill. I can not see any other drips or leaks, but customer also said there were days it wouldnt leak at all. The pressure is fairly high, so if this does not resolve we will need to install the pressure reducer. Can not verify a leak present after repair. Call complete."

WASHER MAYTAG MVWC465HW2 Arrived on site for washing machine making a loud noise. Upon arrival customer had a video of sound and it was a loud screech. I replicated the sound during the diagnostics mode and it was a loud screech. I ran unit on high spin speed and it occurs when it starts to ramp up but disappears when it gets to full speed. I found the agitator and wash plate to be good. I gained access to gear case and found the belt was good. I removed the belt and isolated the motor and ran a high spin speed. Upon further inspection, I found the display blank and the customer advised that they smelled something burning when the power went off. I pulled the unit out and removed the terminal block cover. I found the L2 wires were burnt and broken due to being loose and shorting out. I removed the harness and removed and replaced the terminal block as the L2 terminal was broken off the block. I placed a new connector on the black wire and re-wired the block and tightened all connections. Tested the unit and it is operating as designed. Job completed."

Upon further inspection, I checked for leaks at the ice maker fascia, under the ice bin and at the dispenser pan. I found no evidence of water leaks. I contacted the customer and they advised that the ice maker is leaking water and its going under the ice bin and freezing and going out the dispenser area and dripping onto the plate below. Also leaking into the bin inside the RC section. I tested the ice maker and it is operating as designed and showing no error codes. I tested the water dispenser and it is operating as designed. WASHER WHIRLPOOL WTW8040DW0 "On site for washer not cycling or filling with water according to the customer after they had recently noticed that the washer was leaking on its own. On further inspection of the unit I found the water valve was the initial cost of the issues one of us to crack and leak water into the housing as well as main control area behind the consul. I could not test the unit further diagnostics because no matter what function you try to select it would not function because you could not activate the lid lock with the main control having too much water damage from the leaking valve. I reached out to the office and got American home shield authorization to replace the main control as well as inlet valve housing assembly. After installing the needed parts I was able to reassemble and test each function on the washer and verify the overall the unit malfunctions 100% as designed with no leaks before during or after repair. On arrival customer told me that the unit had been dead for several weeks and then came on last week. Customer said refrigerator has had several repairs done by other companies, for both sealed system and also UI panel. Unit has had issues when house has had power losses before. I checked the evap and temps. Found FC at 3 degrees, and RC at 38. Evaporator had full frost pattern. Checked compressor amp draw and found .67 amps, which is normal. Checked wiring at control and found no damage to wiring. Could not find any issues present at time of service. There may be wiring damage inside the cabinet, or a failing component, but could not find any failures at time of service. Call complete."

Upon arrival customer also stated unit will sometimes lose power at different parts of the cycle, it will half way pop the breaker, and need to cycle power at breaker to start up again. Put unit into diagnostics mode and found no stored error codes. Unit ran as designed and drew correct amperage. I could find no wiring issue. Customer is in a new home and on a GFCI breaker. I advised the customer it is more than likely a weak GFCI and needs to be looked at. Showed him service pointer on GFCI issues. Found no mechanical failure on unit. In regards to draining issue I advised him it is probably due to cycle not finishing and being interrupted by GFCI. The drain line was also installed incorrectly and is coiled up going through bottom of cabinet which can cause water to go back into tub. Call complete."

REFRIGERATOR GE GSE25HGHBHBB Arrived on for refrigerator leaving ice all over food and not cooling properly in the freezer. Upon arrival customer also stated the water dispenser wasn’t working. When further inspection of the dispenser was done I found unit was functioning as designed. Was able to confirm with customer until current diagnosis unit had not been dispensing water. After inspection of the freezer the temps were at -6 and freezer was set to 0. Fresh food side was at 38 degrees at arrival when set temp was 37 degrees. I was able to confirm the the freezer items had frost and ice. The gasket was sealing fine but I found after disassembly that the evaporator fan as well as defrost heater were running at the same time when all other components within refrigerator were off. After 10 minutes the refrigerator had left defrost mode on its own and all other cooling components including (compressor/condenser fan motor) all ran as designed. Upon arrival I entered the units diagnostics and found an F2e1 error code (stuck button). Unit had no communication issues between ACU and ui though after further inspection. I did run an agitation cycle and was able to verify that when the unit filled and running the gearcase is grinding internally. I also verified there was oil leaking from gearcase in little droplets along the splutch and cover. Office will need to reschedule once availability of certian parts is known.
