Arrived on site for a vent hood not turning on. I tested the unit and found no buttons responding. I checked voltage at the wall and terminal block. Both were good. I gained access to the control and found it had fallen off of its plastic clips. Due to this it was hanging down and grounding out on the chassis. This caused the control to burn out. "On site for washer leaving clothes wet at the end of cycle. Ran diagnostics cycle. No error codes present. Unit completed cycle, drain pump functioning and unit went into high speed spin. Checked operation of valves, all working properly. Found drain hose inserted too far into drain. I adjusted it and zip tied to inlet hose. Tested unit with towels, got them wet and performed drain and spin cycle. The towels werent dripping wet. No excessive shaking or unbalance detected. "Arrived on site to inspect microwave display not working. Upon further inspection, I found the display showing 3 dashes. I pressed the cancel button and the display began to flash several different digits including DEMO. Following the tech sheet, I cycled power for approximately 1 minute to reset the control and when I plugged it back in, the display was back to normal readings. I went into the options menu and verified the unit was not in demo mode.

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator freezing food items in the RC section. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=8 degrees and RC=35 on the 2nd shelf, 38 on 1st shelf and 39 on 3rd shelf. I found the unit in defrost mode upon arrival. Also, I found the damper set at the cold/minimal opening and the control was set on the coldest setting. I advised the customer of my findings. I turned the control down and waited for approximately 30 seconds and then turned it back up and the compressor came on. I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, food item placement in both compartments. I set the unit control at 2nd setting of 4 settings (warmer) and recommended that the customer place a thermometer inside the RC section and monitor temps then turn the control up to the ideal (#3) setting. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect unit for not heating when the unit was used for a long time, upon inspection found the unit did exactly what the customer stated.

"Arrived onsite for unit not drying clothes all the way. Tested the unit in normal settings for drying. The count down did well when on and did turn off as fast. Let customer know that if the loads are some what small for the unit or the clothes just are not touching the sensor bar when the clothes are still wet inside, the unit then will do a flash dry and chimes done when thinking its finished drying. Let customer know that they may get better results from using the timed dry instead. Called tech line and reported findings, and tech line agreed with findings. Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed part. Found console was not the correct part needed. Ordering Fascia W11478526 to return and complete the repair. Returning with all previous parts. Called Whirlpool tech line and spoke to Anthony. Anthony stated we would need to try installing the fascia to see if the model and serial transferred over with the new control installed last visit. We cant determine this until the new fascia is installed. Once fascia is installed we need to go into diagnostics to check system information to see if engineering model and serial digits transferred over.

Arrived on site for a dishwasher not powering on. Confirmed the complaint and found the plug underneath the sink was defective and not powering the unit on. I used my extension cord and plugged it into another outlet and the unit worked as designed. Customer will contact the builder to get an electrician to fix the issue.

Arrived on site for oven not cooking correctly on left side of oven. Per temperature test on both ovens at 350? on bake mode. Found upper average temperature at 334? and lower at 348?. Calibrated upper oven +20?. All tested good.

Arrived on site for Pilot not working. Found back left burner wouldnt light. When turning knob to light you could see igniter only sparking once or twice. Used a cotton swap and rubbing alcohol and cleaned the igniter and cap. Swapped back left cap with back right cap. Igniter is sparking consistently and lighting as designed. Advised customer to avoid wiping down cooktop with a heavily saturated towel especially around igniters to prevent the igniter from shorting out. Job completed.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator not producing ice and freezing up. Upon arrival the customer stated the unit will make small ice, the unit would intermittently leak on the bottom right, and once the unit had a frozen block of ice in the IM. I checked temps and found the FC at 6?F, the RC at 33?F, and the ice box at 11?F. I harvested the IM and found it ran through as designed. During the fill however, it barely filled the IM at all. I also found the I. Fan running. Upon further inspection I also found the FC with a thick layer of ice over the bottom. I gained access to the back of the unit for the drain tube. While doing so, I found the unit had a two inch thick foam sheet covering the back of the unit. I found the foam very wet.

Arrived onsite for a stacked dryer making noise while in uses. We tested unit and found that it was making a scrapping noise when in uses. We the gained access to the top of the unit and removed the lid where we found the control unsecured from its mount causing the noise by rubbing up against the drum. We mounted the control back in its place and secured it with a zip tie. Tested unit and found the the noise is now gone. Job complete.

"Arrived on site to inspect washer leaking water. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that water had leaked onto the floor and into the hallway carpet and they havent used it since. I tested the unit in the settings it was last used which was a small load, cold water and normal wash. The unit did not leak. I retested with warm water to engage both valves and this time I found where water is backfilling from the drain pipe. I demonstrated to the customer of the issue and recommended that they have a plumber check the drain pipe. I found the drain hose is in the drain pipe at the recommended 4 inches. No water leaks observed during service with the unit, job completed."

"Arrived on site for Humming Noise - Refrigerator. Customer stated the noise comes on when the ice maker starts. Removed ice bin and bin was full of healthy ice cubes. Gained access to ice maker and used jumper to harvest and call for water. I could hear the valve call for water and customer confirmed this was the noise. The valve sounded louder than Im use to, but the kitchen and living room are one open area along with the wood floors so this makes it louder than it would normally sound. Explained to customer since the ice cubes were healthy and it was producing ice the valve would not need replacement. Customer understood. No leaks detected. Job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect water in the bottom of the unit tub. Upon further inspection, I found water at the drain area and just above the sump at the bottom of the unit. I found that the customer has an RO system and the RO system drain hose is connected to the dishwasher drain hose which is not approved by the manufacturer. I drained the water from the tub and placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F6E4-Float Switch open. Cleared the code and continued with testing. Unit is operating as designed. I explained to my customer how the RO system drains and since the RO drain hose is connected with the dishwasher drain hose, the water from the RO system is backfilling into the dishwasher. Using my Borescope, I demonstrated the water inlet inside the tub. With the water valve turned off under the sink and the dishwasher turned on and DW inlet valve engaged, there was no water coming in. With the valve under the sink turned on, we could see the water coming into the tub. I explained that the water is coming in from the drain area and not the water inlet. I contacted techline and spoke to Ed and advised of the complaint and my findings and Ed advised thstthe RO system drain hose needs to be relocated to the lower P trap. Ed provided SR#7732397532. I drained the unit and monitored the check valve and it is closing/sealing properly. I turned the water valve off under the sink and before I left, there was water in the drain/sump area again.No water leaks observed during service, job completed"

On site for range hot surface light constantly lit and front right burner not turning on. Found terminal on front right element broken and burnt. Ordering right front element and switch. ; ordrng 1 W11517959 (Right front element) and 1 WPW10312185 (Inf switch)

"Arrived on site to diagnose dryer screeching when running. Checked unit and found one wheel barely moving, debris in the felt and evidence of slipping belt. Customer approved. Replaced belt and rollers / tensioner and cleared debris. Retested unit and found noise is gone. I advised the customer to make sure they are not leaving anything in pockets as its getting caught in the felt.

"Arrived on site and inspected dishwasher and found customer is experiencing white residue on dishes and interior of dishwasher surfaces. Wiping the residue with a wet glove cleans it off I showed customer this is detergent buildup/excessive soap. Recommended running machine cleaner like dishwasher magic to remove all buildup. Set washer into a diagnostic cycle and wash motor is working properly. Also recommend it running water as hot as possible at kitchen sink before starting dishwasher. Also found there is no high drain loop installed and corrected this. Dishwasher is working as intended, job complete collected service fee only."

Arrived on site for an oven thats not heating properly. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit does heat but that the unit does not seemingly reach the target temperature as food that they cook takes longer to cook in the oven. Around the unit through diagnostics and found no stored error codes. Tested both bake and broil elements. Both heated and worked as designed. Ran the unit on a 375?F bake cycle and found that the unit was off 25?. Use the oven temperature calibration setting to adjust the temperature of the oven. Re-tested the unit and the unit began working as designed fluctuating between 389?F and 365?F. Call complete.

Arrived on site for microwave fan intermittently running. Customer stated that failure will occur in middle of night when not cooking on range or using unit and when attempting to turn off the UI will not respond until unit is powered on and off. The customer advised the unit makes a buzzing sound and that the unit will fill with a little bit of water but does not seem to fill enough or agitate. Confirmed the customers complaint and around the unit through diagnostics. Found an F8 E1 (low/no water detected) error code. Tested the unit and manual diagnostics and found the cold water valve not pulling in water. Remove the hose from the wall and checked water pressure. Found the cold water valve at the wall was not pushing enough water into the unit and was barely trickling any water when the water valve was completely turned on at the wall. Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is icing up in the freezer section and is losing temperature. Inspected unit and work area. Confirmed the customers complaint and found a defrost issue in the freezer section. Disassembled unit and checked resistance through the bimetal. Found proper resistance and continuity. Checked resistance to the heater and found 28.7 ohms. I spoke to SW and was advised to replace the adaptive defrost control. Defrosted the entire freezer evaporator. The customer had an adapter defrost control on hand that was new in the box.

Arrived on site for a refrigerator thats not dispensing water or filling the ice tray enough. The customer advised that they had moved the unit to make it more square in the cabinet and since then it is not dispensed water correctly. Tested the unit and confirmed the customers complaint. Removed the water filter with the same result. Pulled the unit away from the wall a little bit in case if there was a kink line and water began to flow properly. Looked behind the unit and found the plastic line that she has going from her wall to the refrigerator had kinked. The customer taped the waterline to the back of the fridge to avoid any further issue.

Oh arrived on site for an ice machine thats making thin ice again. Inspected unit and work area. Confirmed the customers complaint and ran the unit through a diagnostic test. Found the valve working properly but the recirculating pump sing the water level for when it was not where it should be. Replaced recirculating pump and tested the unit again. The unit began operating as designed. Call complete.

Arrived to inspect dishwasher not washing at all. Put the unit in diagnostics test mode and discovered a motor error. Removed and replaced the sump and motor and the owi sensor. Reassembled and unit tested properly without any issues. Job complete

Arrived on site for refrigerator not cooling correctly or making ice. Upon arrival confirmed complaint and found temps at 27/46 degrees (FC/RC). Upon further inspection found major defrost issue in FC due to failing evap fan/bimetal asm. Instructed customer that unit would need a full 24-48 hr defrost before repairs could be completed and instructed customer on defrost process. Also docd issue with n.e.w. Arrived on site for filter housing leaking. I found the unit with the water off. I turned the water back on and found the housing leaking. I replaced the filter housing and tested the unit. It is working as designed. Job complete no leaks detected.

"Arrived on site and inspected oven and did not see any error codes, ran all functions through manual diagnostic cycle and everything checks good. Customer says broil function turns off by itself, and shows overheating on the display, she says she sees oven smoking. Customer says this happens after a few minutes. Set oven to broil at 550 degrees and observed it for 10 minutes. Oven is operating properly and heated correctly. Sent multiple videos to PR of correct operation. "Arrived on site for a dishwasher with soap not dissolving. Upon arrival the customer stated that some of the soap would be stuck to the dispenser still after a cycle would finish. I found the customer using a powdered pod, and on soft water. I informed the customer on the importance of using a liquid soap when you have soft water. Also, I advised her on proper soap usage via the user care guide. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found no stored error codes. I then ran a test cycle and it ran through as designed. No leaks detected at the time of service. I informed the customer that the issue is occurring most likely due to the type of soap they are using, and to switch it to a liquid. The unit itself is running as designed. Call complete."
