Arrived onsite for a dishwasher with broken or missing parts on the front door panel. The customer stated the front door panel is fine but the door falls down because the springs are not working and there is a piece of plastic stuck on the element. I found the door springs defective causing the door issue and a plastic handle from a utensil had melted to the right side element support. I removed the plastics and the element is still in good condition. The door hinges will need to be replaced. Ordering W11573702 door hinge right and W11573703 door hinge left. "I dont say for a refrigerator that makes ice, but is slow production. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit takes 2 days to fill up the ice container and her old one seem to work a lot faster. She advised that she wasnt sure if that was an issue or not, but wanted to have it checked. I did check the freezer and found the freezer at 0?F. I did explain to her that in her owners manual, it does say that the unit can take up to three days to fill up the ice container. I ran the unit through harvest in dead. Find the unit working an operating as designed. Did advise the customer that these icemakers are a little slower than previous models and thats a long is the unit is making ice consistently, the unit is working as designed. Call complete."

I was advised that because the unit is immediately calling for power, this is normal. The customer also complained about the unit not starting a cycle. Found the agitator spinning when the unit was trying to spin the basket and it would not shift into the spin position. Gained access underneath and found the slider broken. I replaced the slider with a slider from truck stock. Tested the unit and the unit began to work and operate as designed. I called whirlpool safety team and spoke to Kent SR# 7737574734. I found the temp at the lint screen only getting to 120 degrees with the dryer on high. I found the temp hardly changing. I removed the vent hose from the dryer and the temp at the lint screen shot up to 200 degrees. I showed the customer. I explained to the customer that the house vent is restricted and needs to be cleaned. Call complete.

"Arrived to inspect ice production issues. The water valve would only allow a few drips to enter the unit and I removed and replace the valve. I then found the unit would cycle the power intermittently at the end of the external drain pump cycle. I removed and replaced the pump and found the circulation pump/sensor incorrectly reading water levels. During replacement of the circulation pump, I discovered the mounting screw for the reservoir would not secure the reservoir and that the insert was improperly installed. I advised the MFG tech assist of my findings and was informed that it was a non-serviceable part. The unit has been sent to engineering for further review and the customer will be contacted directly if the unit will be replaced. SR# 7737598520. I left the unit disconnected from power and water."

Using my vent test kit, I tested the airflow to,the unit and found it passed the first two tests, but I still recommended the customer have the vents checked for safety. I disassembled the unit and found the sensor damaged and the ignitor had shorted out. I removed and replaced both parts and tested and unit is operating as designed. I reassembled the unit and retested and it continued to operate as designed. No gas leaks detected and no lint observed during service, job completed."

Made sure all other functions worked. The I advised the customer to run the hot water at the sink before running the DW the I found out the the customer would use 2 detergent pods sometimes in the DW I advised her to just use one from now on and advised her that she didnt need to preference if shes using pods and then I asked if she could make this changes and monitor the unit to see If the unit improves as far as drying goes.

MHW8630HC4 arrived on site to inspect A washing machine with F9E1 error code. Placed the unit into service diagnostic mode and found the following error codes F9E1 F5E2 F0E2. Cleared the codes for testing and found all functions working properly except for the drain. Turned the drain pump on and noticed there was no water leaving the he unit. Vacuumed some debris out of the drain hose and tested again and the unit drained as designed. Also found an excessive amount of soap in the drum during testing. Advised the customer of my findings. No water leaks observed during service.
