"Arrived on site for a refrigerator with no ice production. Upon arrival the customer stated water started dripping at the dispenser and the ice in the bucket they put in there manually will clump together. They also observed water dripping there. I checked the temps and found the FC at 3?F and the RC 33?F and he ice box was at 6?F (the ice box fan was on during temp check, so this is most likely why it was so cold). I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found IM error code E2 for motor lost position. I tried to harvest the IM in test 57 and nothing happened. I ran a fill on test 45 and it filled as designed. I hen ran test 59 for IM and nothing happened. I gained access to the HV control and checked voltage while running test 57 at P7-5 to P7-6 and found 12VDC. This indicates a faulty IM. I unplugged the unit and replaced the IM. I then ran a harvest and fill and both worked as designed. No leaks observed at the time of service.

The customer also stated he has had a few other technicians out to check the door out. The customer himself has already adjusted the door height, replaced the hinge bushing, and spring. These all made no difference. I found the door to be opening as designed and advised the customer the purpose behind this was to prevent the door from being left open. I found the door to be operating as designed. The customer also found the flapper on the IM arm kept falling off. After further inspection I found the flapper and arm to be in perfect condition. I installed the flapper and advised the customer it was most likely not seated correctly between the wedge and hook on the flapper. I found the unit to be working as designed.

"Arrived on site for a cooktop with the front right burner continuing to click after on. I gained access to the spark module and found that the spark module was getting 120V on the white neutral wire to ground when it should be zero. The orange to ground also had 120V. This indicated reverse polarity on the outlet. I found good voltage at the wall and no reverse polarity. I found nothing grounding out either and the ignitors good. I called techline and spoke with Austin and received SR# 7730786674. Austin recommended replacing the spark module and when done it still had the issue. I then checked voltage at orange wire to ground on spark module and started a burner. We found the orange wire lost all voltage. This again indicates bad polarity. Austin recommended replacing the power cord on 5e unit. Ordering power cord, and switch harness as well. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that still icing up in the freezer section. Inspected unit and work area. The customer also complained about moisture buildup inside of her food. She advised that when she goes to open stuff, there?s water around the edges of the containers. Check temperatures and found the freezer sitting at 1?F. Found the refrigerator section sitting at 37.4?F. The customer did advise that the unit is not doing all the things that she?s mentioning today as it has seem to clear up. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to TJ SR# 7730787047. He advised that based on the customers complaint, to raise the freezer door up a quarter of an inch and to turn on the mullion heaters on all the time in tests 36 and 40. I did not find any water buildup or ice buildup inside the bottom of the refrigerator section so he advised to make no further repairs. He did advise that the customer that ambient moisture can also play a part in frost buildup in the freezer and that that is normal. Unit is not working as designed. Call complete."

Arrived on site for Refrig leaking inside ice bin frozen in place. Found ice bin stuck in housing. When attempting to remove the ice bin I broke the facia cover off. Found the button that releases the ice bin was not engaging the mech to release the ice bin. Ordering a new ice bin to return and complete the repair. Fridge had been defrosting since yesterday morning. I inspected the evaporator coils in the freezer and they still had a good amount of frost on them. Removed ice maker and inspected ice mold. Everything looked good but when I filled it with water from the sink into the original ice maker it was dripping water. Installed new ice maker. Once I plugged in the fridge the ice maker called for water. No drips were coming out of the ice maker. Fridge should no longer freeze the ice bin into the housing because the new ice maker does not drip. I called techline, I checked all electrical connections, tested door switches, tested ohms on P5, J8, K3 connectors. Powered unit on and off multiple times, disconnected UI harness, disconnected all light harnesses and checked for wiring issues, everything tested good and on final test the lights stayed off. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator temps. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the RC section and found it at 50 degrees on a setting of 34 degrees. While testing, I found this RC evaporator/cover with frost/ice on it. Removed the cover and scroll and using my steamer, I removed the frost/ice. I removed and replaced the RC evap thermistor and secured it with foil tape and ziptie on the suction line and filled the wire nuts with manufacturer approved silicone to seal the connections from getting wet and corroding. Replaced the old fan scroll with new and tested the unit. Placed the unit in diagnostics and checked test #7 and adjusted it from #1 to #2 defrost setting. Unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Arrived on site for refrigerator with ice buildup. Inspected unit and work area. Found ice block sitting on the bottom of the freezer causing the freezer to leak and doors to steal shit at times. Found evidence of a frosted over drip tray underneath the evaporator. Remove the back cover and remove the clog from the drain hose. Arrived on site for a refrigerator having food freeze in the refrigerator compartment. The customer stated and showed me some of her veggies that are freezing and stated that her shrimp and water even freeze sometimes. Upon further inspection I found gasket sealing properly and in good shape. I checked the temps and found the FC at 6?F and the RC at 34?F after being open for a little bit and set at 41?F. I also found the fresh food section at 32?F. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found both thermistors reading good and the evap fan running as designed. I took out the fresh food drawer and found the damper slightly stuck open. I gained access to the control and ohmd out the RC thermistor from P5-1 to P5-2 and found it at 3.35k ohms. I ohmd out the FC thermistor at the control from P5-3 to P5-4 and found it at 5.73k ohms. I rechecked temps and found these readings accurate. I found both at the same pins giving proper VDC of 1.5-5. I checked voltage for air baffle closing at P3-4 to P1-2 and found correct voltage. I then checked voltage for air baffle opening from P1-2 to P2-5 and could not get any voltage in service step 3. This indicates bad control and is not communicating with the damper properly. I called techline and spoke to Steve and received SR# 7730791197. Steve advised replacing the control. I am ordering the control and bringing back all parts. If the control still does not send voltage when opening to the damper then we need to replace the damper. Returning tech needs to recheck voltage in step 3 at control from P1-2 to P2-5. ; ordrng 1 W11399844 (Control)

"Arrived on site to diagnose water leaking from the bottom of the fridge and potentially oil as well. Customer informed us the unit was leaking at the back of the unit and was curious if oil was leaking as well. We pulled out the unit and checked it for leaks at the compressor, found rust and corrosion of the lines coming from the compressor near the heat exchanger, checked the evaporator and found only a partial frost pattern, water leak was coming from the drain pan. Spoke to the customer about the unit needing a drip pan and sealed system repair.

Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Replaced ice maker and did several checks on the refrigerator and freezer section. Found the freezer section sitting between seven and 11?F. Found the refrigerator sitting at 41?F. Spoke to SW and was advised to check the condenser coil?s for lint buildup. Found massive lint buildup on the condenser coil?s and was advised that that might be their issue altogether. Advise customer to remove lint off the coils due to her flooring situation. Her laminate flooring does not go all the way underneath the refrigerator and thus it is extremely difficult to get the unit out due to the adjustment in height. The customer advised that she would have her husband do it when he gets home. Unit is working as designed. Call complete.
