"Arrived on site to diagnose microwave oven combo with noise coming from the microwave when in use for more than a minute. Tested unit and customer pointed out a faint tapping sound. Ran unit longer and tracked noise to the plastic cover on the mag area. If you put any pressure on the plastic guide, sound stops. Sound is just the guide faintly tapping from airflow. Readjusted and reinstalled all items in the area, noise is still there, just veri faint, and is just an operational noise. No functions affected. "Arrived on site to inspect washer error codes. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error codes F8E1 & F9E1. Cleared the codes and continued with testing. I found the valve not opening fully and not allowing enough water into the drum (F8E1). Once the drain pump came on, it was loud and struggling to drain the water (F9E1). Stopped testing and pulled the unit out and got access to the drain pump. I removed the pump filter and found a large amount of debris inside the filter (photo). Cleared the debris and re-installed the filter to the pump. I removed the water hoses and found a large amount of debris inside the valve screens (photo).Removed and replaced the valve and retested. Unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

I raised the cooktop to find the elements attached to the cooktop. I researched the glass cooktop and found it discontinued. I advised the customer of my findings and advised the cooktop is discontinued. Also advised that if I move forward with repairs, there is a potential that with the cooktop already broken, there could be more damage done trying to replace the element. I cleaned off the calcium of the fill tube and reassembled the unit. I tested the icemaker fill and found it working properly. The calcium build up was changing the flow of water making the ice maker leak.

"MVW7230HW0 Arrived to inspect t filling. I retrieved errors from service test mode and found F7E4 and cleared for testing. Full function of the water valves was present and the unit proceeded through service test mode to agitate an spin and I found the basket would not engage. Inspection revealed the slider had failed and required replacement. I advised the customer there was a very slight amount of gear case oil starting to leak, but it was in the very early stages and the customer elected to not replace the gear case assembly at this time. I advised the customer with detergent amounts to hopefully prevent any further seal wear and then to prolong the life of future machines. I replaced the slider with truck stock and recalibrated. All functions resumed normal operations and the unit completed the service test mode as designed. No leaks observed during service. used 1 W10734521 (Slider Assy) from stock"

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator that had been losing cooling. Examined unit and found cool air coming out of freezer side, but nothing excessively cold. Checked compressor and found compressor was scalding hot. Checked entire sealed system, heat exchanger, and pan heater for leaks. Only place I saw ANY freon was at the Schrader valve for the dryer. I tightened the valve and checked pressures. Found equalized pressure was only 42psi, with my system pressures at -20 low, and 95 high. I talked with SW about findings, and agreed there either was a small leak at the Schrader valve, or a leak in the cabinet. I let my customer know that the leak is likely in the cabinet and unfixable, however we can evacuate and charge the system with the tightened schrader valve to confirm that was the source of the leak. Evacuated system and charged to MFR spec. Verified improved pressures. Informed customer that if unit loses cool again its leaking in the cabinet and we will not recharge again. Call complete."

Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is freezing up. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that they have a defrost issue in the freezer section and that they had another company come out to months ago to address this and it is done this sense. They advised they had unplugged the refrigerator on Sunday and had plugged it in two days ago and everything seems to be cooling off probably. Ran the unit through diagnostics and was unable to get the heater to come on. Gained access to the freezer evaporator and checked resistance from the freezer harness plug through the diodes and heater. Found the heater registering 25.9 ohms of resistance. Went ahead and replaced the evaporator thermistor and went to replace the control but found the control set with me was the wrong part. Ordering the correct control and the office will need to contact the customer about a return date due to limited parts availability.; ordrng 1 W11203924 (Control)

The customer advised that his ice is also melting out of the door and he is noticing items in the freezer starting to slowly thaw. Found the unit attempting to cool but the evaporator fan not running. Ran service test number three on the evaporator fan motor and found the motor not running at all. Removed the back cover and did not find any evidence of a defrost issue yet but the unit will need a new evaporator fan for repair. "Arrived on site to inspect wall oven door glass broken. Upon further inspection, I found the oven door was good. Customer advised that the builder had replaced the door, but since doing a cleaning cycle on the unit, the microwave interior light does not work and its not heating properly. I opened the microwave door and found the light does not come on. Using a cup of water, I measured the temp in the cup and got 78 degrees. I placed the cup inside the microwave and tested for one minute on high setting. I tested the water temp after one minute and it read 123 degrees. I tested temps in the oven and they were good. Arrived on site for a washing machine that is flashing an F7 E2 (MCU overheating) error code. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the washer had begun to start making buzzing sounds when it was attempting to spin but would not actually spin and then finally has been starting to do absolutely nothing. I spun the basket by hand and found it spun freely. Removed the top cover and checked all electrical connections. Found all electrical connections good and no split wires. Checked resistance on the motor windings off of the J6 connector and found all resistance readings measuring 12.5 to 12.6 ohms of resistance indicating the motor was still good. Attempted to run test number seven for the motor and found the control clicking repeatedly but not spinning the basket. Im ordering a Control for repair and will return with the rotor and stater. ordrng 1 W11322905 (ACU)

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not draining properly, not heating and tripping the breaker. Upon further inspection, I found a fork resting on the heating element. Removed the fork and removed the drain filter and found it badly clogged with debris. I cleaned the filter and placed it back in its space. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested. While testing, I placed my multimeter on the L1 (black wire) at the terminal box and monitored amp draw to the components. I found all components within amp draw range and the element is getting 7-9amps during wash & drying cycles. Customer advised they have a filtration system on the home. I found the dispenser door broken and wont stay closed. I am ordering the dispenser and scheduled return service . I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, detergent and rinse use.
