Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is icing up. Upon arrival the customer stated the unit will get ice build up in the back of the FC roughly every 4-5 months. I checked temps and found the RC at 50?F and the FC at 30?F. I then gained access to the evaporator and found significant ice/frost build up on the evap. I used my steamer to gain access to the heater and the bi metal. I found the heater completely burned out. I jumped the timer to force a defrost cycle and found only 60VAC going to the heater at the heater. I then gained access to the timer and found the correct 120VAC coming from the timer to the heater. This indicates a faulty bi metal and heater which is allowing the unit to freeze up. I installed both parts and the unit is now working as designed. I advised the customer to leave the unit off for at least 48 hours to finish thawing the unit. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for a dryer that?s taking 2 to 3 loads to dry clothes. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit does he but their clothes aren?t dry after one cycle for the most part. I ran the unit on a time dry high heat cycle and found the unit turning in heating properly. I could hear the gas valve actuator in the gas at night. Checked behind the unit and found the vent hose completely kinked and crashed. The customer stated that he did get fuel airflow out of the back. I advise the customer that due to the unit heating and tumbling, the issue would have to be with an air flow restriction. I advised the customer to replace his vent hose due to the damage sustained. I also advised the customer to run a load without the vent hose on on an hour time dry cycle to ensure the unit is drying clothes and that that would verify my ventilation issue on the unit. Place the unit and service diagnostics and found the average temperature of the freezer in the last 6 hours at 14?F. Found the refrigerator section sitting at 46?F. Advise the customer that the issue appeared to have been a sealed system issue.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that pausing in the middle of a cycle. Inspected unit and work area. Placed in an in service diagnostics and found an F5 E1 (lid switch fault - lid is up), F0 E4 (spin limited by water temperature), F0 E3 (overload), F3 E2 (inlet water temperature fault), and F2 E1 (UI stuck key) error codes. Ran the unit through an auto test and found the unit working as designed. The customer stated that the unit put itself and a pause midway through the cycle and that the issue doesn?t necessarily happen at any point they?ll come back to the unit and the start button is flashing. I did advise the customer that generally speaking on these issues and ends up being a control panel related issue due to the contacts on the panel starting to short. Arrived on site for an ice machine that won?t cut ice. Inspected unit at work area. Confirmed the customers complaint and found the green cutter completely broken on the top not allowing electricity to flow through the rig cutter. Replaced grid cutter and tested the unit. Arrived on site for refrigerator with intermittent cooling and a broken dispenser. Upon arrival I found temps in both compartments was at 39 FC and 50 rc. Also found the ice dispenser plastic chute broken from handle. Also found the cooling issue was because compressor was over heating and shutting down. Found psi lvls ranging between 0 to -10 low side and 160 to 175 high side. Couldnt find any evidence of any leaks. I recovered 6.75oz of refrigerant from system then I pulled a vacuum on the unit for 15 minutes to try and clear the contamination from system. I recharged system and found unit had stable psi lvls stabilized at 0 and 150. Informed customer to give unit 24 hrs to cool. Call complete

Arrived on site for dryer not heating. Upon arrival I confirmed unit had stable 240 connection. Upon further disassembly I found heating element improperly mounted and completely burnt up. I called and spoke to Asurion tech line and was advised by their rep that the unit will cycle elements and convect fan, and it will cause the upper rack to get hotter. I confirmed the issue with whirlpool tech line as well. Bake cycle utilizes both elements and the convect. WP tech line says racks 1-3 are recommended for use when baking, but racks in positions 4-6, closer to broil will cause temps to be hotter on the top items. No fault found with unit. Advised customer on response from reps and advised on cooking on lower racks only. Call complete."

I advised the customer on how the airflow there comes directly from the freezer and can freeze things in that area of the fridge. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed sealed system (compressor, access stub, uv dryer, etc) upon installing new equipment I pulled vacuum and found no signs of leaks. Charged system with 4.25oz of refrigerant per manufacture and after restoring power and adding new start device that came with compressor that unit was failing to run and compressor was siezed up not pumping refrigerant through system. "Arrived on site for BOTTOM OF FRIDGE DOOR GASKET IS FALLING OFF ON BOTTOM LEFT-GASKET SLIPPED UNDER PLASTIC. Found bottom section of gasket is inserted into frame correctly, but the sleeve that holds the gasket in place is damaged making the gasket not seat against the door frame properly. The bottom section of the gasket is drooping down. The fridge is getting a good seal, but over time the drooping and gaps will only get worse. Tried using my heat gun to get it to seal, but it wouldnt change shape due to the damaged sleeve that the gasket sits in. "Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator not cooling, upon arrival the customer informed me that the unit stopped cooling and started cooling again while they were on vacation, he said he spoke with his neighbors to inquire about an outage and they said there wasnt one, he had no flipped breakers as well. He was concerned about an odor as well, I found liquid pooling at the left hand gasket at the bottom of the door, I cleaned it out and now the unit shouldnt have the reoccurring smell. Temps in the unit are within normal operation, I found that the unit is operating properly as designed. Due to the unit unexplainably stopping cooling randomly and starting again, I replaced the control, the unit is functioning properly as designed. Job complete."

"Arrived on site to diagnose oven door that has broken front glass, upon arriving I found that the oven doors front glass panel has completely shattered from what I can tell and the customers description, the screw holding in the upper bracket to the glass was loose, the customer said he heard it fall just before the glass shattered. I am ordering the front glass, name plate, top bracket and two screws to complete the repair.
