"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not completing cycles. Inspected unit and work area. Were in the unit through and did not find any stored error codes. Ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. The customer advised the reason why she called was because the unit had seemingly stopped in the middle of the cycle And was not flashing but was just sitting idle and she wasnt sure if there was a problem with the machine since she assumed the machine would be washing the entire time. The customer stated that after she had canceled the cycle and had not run any cycles since. I did explain to the customer that everything is pre-programmed and if the unit doesnt complete the cycle without the customer intervention or start flashing codes at the customer, there would likely be an issue but seeing as though all components are working and she doesnt have any stored error codes, the washer would have been working as designed. "WED7500GW0 Arrived to inspect no heat. I found the electrical supply was correct, but the neutral and ground were reversed at the terminal block and I corrected. The chassis had excessive lint residue and I vacuumed. The heating element was electrically open and I removed and replaced it. I removed a large section of vent tubing, which was the likely cause of the excessive lint and subsequent failure of the element. The unit operated and cycled as designed.

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator noises. Upon further inspection, the customer advised the unit makes an intermittent knocking noise. I placed the unit in and tested the compressor in test 4 and could hear the faint knocking noise and the customer identified the noise as well, but stated it was much louder at times. I found service pointer #W11610345, which provides a correction to the noise. Per the pointer, I adjusted the filter drier at the back of the unit and retested and did not duplicate the noise. I recommended the customer monitor the unit and explained what was causing the noise and also advised that its a noise that is typically normal. I leveled the unit as well. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived to inspect no cool. I found the compressor would attempt to run for a few seconds and then the start device could be heard clicking off. Amp draw was a pretty steady 12 amps until disengagement. I tested a temporary start device and the unit started and ran, drawing a low of 1.3 amps initially and then climbing to 1.5 amps, which is reasonable for the temperature of the unit. I replace the start device and re-tested and the unit operated and cooled as designed. No leaks observed during service.

Arrived onsite for a wall oven that is over heating and the floor and lower drawer handle gets very hot when using the oven. I explained to the CX how the unit vents and that hot air would blow out of the bottom and the vent directs the air flow to the floor. The lower drawer has a chrome handle and I explained that it could become very warm when the oven is in use. I showed the CX that the bottom of the cabinet under the oven has a large cutout and explained that this should be a solid bottom. I explained that this can cause hot air to get trapped in the drawer and cause the TOD to open when running a self clean cycle. I tested the unit at 350 degrees and found the oven cycling between 337-363 degrees leaving it with a 350 degree average temp. The CX stated the unit has not been burning product. At this time the unit is working as designed. I removed the vent per the customers request so the hot air would blow out instead of down at the floor. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator temps. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that with the RC section set at 37 degrees (manufacturer recommendation), the fresh foods section is getting colder and their sodas are exploding. I found the customers thermometer reading approximately 28 degrees on the top shelf. I gained access to the fresh foods thermistor located behind the light assembly at the top of the fresh food section and tested k ohms. I found the thermistor reading 2.840 kohms which indicates that its approximately 75 degrees in the fresh foods section. I demonstrated to the customer by having them hold the old thermistor which is cold and the new thermistor which is at room temp and then checked ohms reading again and they should almost identical readings. I replaced the old thermistor with the new part and placed the unit in a long defrost. Cycled power to the unit to reset controls. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

The customer advised that the left front element will not work with all of her pans and that some pans do work with the cooktop but her smaller pans will not. Tested the unit and found the unit working with certain pans but not one specific pan. I tested the same pound that wouldnt work on another burner and found it would work on that other burner. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Kurt SR# 7735039531. He advised that because of how this unit works, they cannot guarantee pot and pans smaller than the ring they provide on the cooktop to work consistently. He advised that the rings were put on the cooktop to show the customer the size of the pan that they would need for the burner and that if the unit works with most of their pots and pans, there is no issue with the burner or cooktop itself. Went over Tech-lines findings with the customer and the unit is working as designed. Call complete."

The lower left and right corners of the cabinet had excessive gapping and light could be seen through them. I was able to tamp the metal back in place and then seal with MFG silicone. "Arrived to inspect convection fan noise. I found the crew that reinstalled the unit had pushed it back too far again and bashed the cover, consequently pressing the fan into the the chassis and causing it to rub and make a screeching noise. I was able to re-form the cover again and correct the fan position to correct the issue. Due to the placement of the plug, the unit is several inches farther out than expected and I advised the only way the issue can be corrected is to have the plug for the range moved to a more conventional area behind the unit. Operational test good."
