Arrived on site to test unit for cooktop and oven not working. Found L2 burnt on power cord side caused by in proper installation as retention nuts were extremely loose causing arcing. Replaced power cord and terminal block. Cooktop now working properly. Heated oven to 350 with no issues.

Arrived on site for dishwasher not finishing cycle. Ran unit in diagnostics mode and found no issues. Called in talked to Susie and she said that the diagnostics did test the heating circuit. Gain access to the control board and found a burnt mark next to P9 which is one side of the heating element. The heating element ohmed out at 15 ohms specs 10 to 30 ohms. It was good. Replaced the control board and tested unit. Informed customer that the main harness is brittle and may need to be change out going forward. No water leaks detected during service.

Arrived onsite for a washer that is not draining. Upon arrival I put unit into diag mode and tested the drain pump and found that the pump was not operating properly. Upon further inspection I found no clogs in the hoses. I replace the pump and tested the unit and found unit operating as designed no leaks. Job complete

Upon further inspection, I found the top panel badly dented at the front of the panel and several scratches in the middle of the top panel (photos). The customer had some clothing inside the unit and I tested the unit with the clothing inside. I found the unit vibrating, but was normal considering the clothing moving around inside the drum and the u;it is operating as designed. I referred the customer to the manufacturer customer service for assistance in getting the top panel replaced.No lint observed during service, job completed."

I pulled the unit out and tested the spark module and found it getting voltage but not providing voltage to the ignitors. "253.9266411 Arrived to over-temp alarm. I tested the temperature and it was -5?F. I found the compressor would immediately start up after interruption of power, and should have tripped the start device. The compressor drew .94 amps, but throughout the entire service call and near the low shutoff temperature, it ran continuously. The customer reported the compressor runs nearly constantly as well. The compressor has lost a significant amount of ability to move refrigerant and the only repair would be to replace the compressor and the customer did not want to invest in this unit due to age.

"Arrived to inspect no spin. The unit had F7E1 stored and the basket was difficult to rotate and made a grinding noise when turned by hand. Initial assessment was failed bearings, but inspection of the gear case area revealed the cam assy had failed. I removed and replaced the cam and re-calibrated the control. The unit operated as designed in manual and automatic modes. Drain safety strap attached. No leaks observed during service.

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice or dispensing water. I found no water getting past the filter housing. The customer had a new filter and housing. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator water dispenser not working. Upon further inspection, I tested the dispenser and it failed to dispense water. Customer advised they replaced he filter and purged the system and then went to get some water and it wouldnt dispense. By disconnecting the inlet water line from the filter head I tested the valve at the back of the unit and found it dispensing water. I removed and replaced the filter head and dual valve and retested and unit is operating as designed. I recommended the customer their filters directly from the manufacturer or one the local box stores that get their supply from the manufacturer and not from the internet. Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Replaced the vent motor and tested the unit. Still had the same issue. Removed all of my loads off of the control trying to determine what part of the machine was causing the issue and found that no loads removed would get the unit to start any kind of cycle or drain. Replaced the user interface and tested the unit. I still have the same issue with the new user interface. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Rob SR# 7735795276. He had me check voltage. Found voltage drop to 50 V at the control as soon as power was restored. He advised that the issue was with a floating neutral and that this was completely an electrical supply issue.

Arrived onsite for Ice Machine not producing ice. On inspection checked water pressure and it was good. The cooling plate frosted over but no water was coming out. Gain access to the pump and it was extremely hot. Next I pulled the water pan and it was not attached to the back of the unit. Once I removed it the water pan I could see that the insert was pulled out of insulation where the screw attaches the water pan to the back of the unit. Then I was inspecting the rest of the water pan and the drain pump was not all the way on. Inspecting where the drain pump and noticed it was broken where it attaches at. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator REF motor is louder, freezer not holding proper temp, measured fill not working. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested. I found the RC evap fan motor making a noise as if it were about to stop functioning. Customer advised the measured fill isnt working properly again and instead of 8 ounces of water, theyre only getting approximately 4 ounces. I tested the ice maker and it is operating as designed. I tested all components listed in the tech sheet and all are operating as designed. I found the right door gasket torn at the top left corner. Also found the RC evap drip pan badly warped. "Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher error codes. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit is leaking water again and showing the error code F8E4. I placed unit in diagnostics and found error codes F9E2, F8E4, FAE2 (F10E2). Cleared the codes and removed the toeplate and continued with testing. I found the drip tray full of water and emptied it. Once the unit began to wash, I found water leaking at the back of the unit. I opened the unit door to stop testing and pulled the unit out and closed the door to continue tested. I found the unit damaged at the top back left corner of the u;it and the tub seal broken causing the water to leak at the top corner and bottom corner (photos). Also found water damage on the floors (photos) and cabinet walls (photos). Also, when the motor came on I heard it make a loud moaning noise as if it were struggling to push the water through the manifold. I advised my customer of my findings and advised to not use the unit until repairs can be made. I unplugged the unit for safety (photo). I could not turn the water off as its connected to the sink as well. I am ordering the tub, main control and will return with all prescreened parts. Ran the unit through an auto test and check the heater after step six that turns on the heater. Found the heater hotter than the water temperature inside of the unit. Ran the test again and had the same result. I did advise the customer the heater is working and explain that they will need to use rinse aid in the dishwasher to help with the drying process. Went over other options to help with the water temperature such as high temperature temperature wash, sanitation rinse, and extended heat dry for optimal drying. The unit is working as designed. The customer advised that it does complete certain cycles but it does not complete others. I asked the customer which kind of loads the unit doesnt complete. The customer advised that it does not finish the cycle on wash is that include blankets. I asked the customer if regular clothes cycles generally complete and he advise that they did. I explain to the customer that the manufacturer does not recommend quilts, blankets, sleeping bags, or other materials such as. I explained the reason for this is because those types of materials absorb so much water and any movement of those materials inside the washer can cause off balance loads because of the weight distribution. I advise that most of those items, the whirlpool experts recommend taking to a laundromat. Ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. Ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. I advised the customer that their machine is working as designed but did warn them about washing those types of materials due to the likelihood of going off balance and not completing. Call complete."

Arrived onsite for an ice machine that had only made a small amount of ice after the cutting grid was replaced on the previous visit. The customer stated when she checked the bin this morning it was almost full. I found the ice bin filled up to about an inch below the bin thermistor and still producing ice. I found the cubes full. I watched the machine complete a cycle and found it working as designed. I did find the evaporator thermistor wire hanging in front of the evaporator plate behind the cutter grid and ice could have possibly getting caught on one of the wires. I rerouted the wires to move them out of the way. The machine is working as designed at this time. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice. I found the FC getting well below harvest temp. I cycled the ice maker and it went thru harvest but didnt fill. There was 123VAC at the fill valve but the coil was not energizing. I replaced the fill valve and tested again. The ice maker completed the harvest cycle and filled with water. Unit is working as designed. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for a dishwasher that is leaking from underneath. I found out that the customer was trying to use Dawn hand washing detergent in the machine causing it to sun and water to run over the front tub seal. I cleared the suds and tested the machine in the diagnostics cycle. There were no stored error codes. It works as designed and there were no water leaks present at the time of service. I went over correct detergent use and use and care for the machine with the customer. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for a range with the front right burner not lighting correctly. I found the ignitor sparking but in the wrong direction for the burner to lite correctly. I was going to adjust the ignitor but the phillips head of the ignitor screw had been stripped. I changed the burner head and tested. The burner is lighting correctly and is working as designed. There were no gas leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for a washer that is not spinning the clothes out correctly. I checked stored error codes and had an F8E1 long fill and an F0E9 off balance pause. I found the hot water valve turned off at the wall. I turned it on and tested the machine in auto diagnostics. The machine completed the cycle and worked as designed but when the washer hot water valve was open the leak detector in-line solenoid valve the customer has mounted after the wall valve that the fill line connects to was making a loud humming noise and I suspect this is why the wall valve was turned off. I explained to the customer to have it checked. I explained that both valves have to be open for the machine to work properly. I also went over piling the clothes in the washer to prevent tangling and off balance pausing. Call complete.
