"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Replace icebox van and the customer complained about water dripping from the freezer section. Looked underneath the unit and found the drain hole in the freezer section was iced over causing the water to drip into the bottom of the freezer and onto the floor went into defrost. Removed ice buildup and steamed out the blockage in the freezer drain pan. Went to check functionality of the ice maker and found the left side dispenser door not shutting all the way. Check the gasket in the liner and could not find any noticeable dents or warps in either liner or gasket door. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Adrian SR# 7731884306. He video chatted me to look at this and we attempted to reposition the hinge on the left-hand door. We could not get the door to shut in any circumstance unless if the door was removed from the hinge.

Ran the unit through diagnostics and found no stored error codes. Around the unit through an auto test and found the unit having a hard time shifting between agitation and span. Once the unit went into spin noticed a sizable grinding sound due to a bad bearing. Replaced the gear case in shifter and tested the unit. The unit began to work as designed. Call complete.

They could often hear a loud clicking on the unit, the agitator seems loud, and the timing for the cycles seems to be off. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found no stored error codes. I then ran a diagnostics cycle and individually activated each component. I found all running as designed. I gained access to the bottom of the unit and found everything in good shape. The customer pointed out the noise during the cycle, and I found it to be normal agitation noise. i ran an HMI test and it passed. I found no failures on the unit at the time of service. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator noises. Upon further inspection, the customer described the noise as a vibrating metal on metal noise. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the damper control and found it operating as designed. Tested the compressor and condenser fan and customer identified the noise and said it gets much louder. I pulled the unit out and removed the back cover to inspect the compressor and tubing. I found when applying pressure to the condenser lines the noise got quieter. I applied some sealant tape in between the condenser and chassis and retested and unit is much quieter. Customer advised that if the noise came back, she would record and let our office know. Customer also questioned the popping noise from the unit when the compressor came on. I advised that it is normal and goes away after a few minutes of the refrigerant circulating through the system. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site for not making ice. Customer had shut off the ice maker as soon as they realized water was dripping out. This was shortly after the previous tech replaced the ice maker. Found ice bin frozen and stuck inside housing. I was able to remove the front cover of the ice bin to get a better grip on the bin and it came out. Found ice build up inside the housing and ice maker. The ice maker funnel where water comes in from the fill tube was frozen oven. This is why and where the ice build up originated from. Removed ice maker and cleared away all the ice build up. The funnel had bit of styrofoam inside of it causing blockage and an ice block inside the funnel. Once I cleared all the ice away I reinstalled the ice maker and ran a jumper to harvest the ice maker. Ice maker harvested and water came into the funnel as designed, noleaks detected. Removed ice maker and dumped the water that was just called for then reinstalled the ice maker to begin making ice again. No leaks detected. Job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher dispenser and rack wheels issues. Upon further inspection, I found the lower rack wheels missing, the dispenser detergent door not opening, and the element is warped. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F9E1-diverter lost position. I cleared the code and continued with testing. I removed the toeplate and found the sump/motor assembly leaking at the diverter housing (F9E1). I advanced through testing and found the dispenser door doesnt open and the element showing less than 7 amps. The drain pump is operating as designed. I am ordering the sump/motor assembly, element, (4) lower rack wheels, CNOTE-AUTHORIZATION and will return with prescreened parts. Returning tech to replace the sump/motor assembly, element, dispenser and install 4 new rack wheels.; ordrng 1 WPW10605057 (Sump/motor assembly) and 1 W10703867 (Element) and 4 WPW10195417 (Lower rack wheels)s and 1 CNOTE (Authorization)"

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Upon arrival the customer stated they had a power outage and the unit we t out. During this time the excess ice thawed out. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found the IB fan running as designed. I jumped the IM and it got an error code E3 for not reaching home position. This indicates a bad IM. I jumped the IM fill and found it running as designed. I checked temps and found the FC at 41?F and the RC at 48?F. I gained access to the control and ohmd out the thermistors. The FC read 5.95k, the RC read 5.15k, the FC evap read 8.13k, and the RC evap read 7.71k. These are all within range. This indicates a faulty control for defrost issues and a bad IM. I installed the control and went to install the IM. I am ordering a new IM to install. Office to reschedule. ; ordrng 1 W10908387 (Icemaker)"

In the process of replacing the valve found supply issues in plumbing. Supply is off but still has water flowing. Also the cold and hot supply lines are rusted and will not go in new valve correctly.
