"Arrived on site to test unit for burning smell, removed back panels, inspected all connections, no burnt wires, elements tested good, burner elements all heated up and working as designed.

"On site for fridge not making ice. Customer stated that he turned the ice maker off and on, but still no ice was produced. On arrival, FC temp around 0 degrees and found IM tray didnt have any water in it. Checked fill tube for any ice build up, none present. No errors present on unit. Pressed test button on IM. IM completed harvest, but sounded more noisy than normal operation. Also, it only filled with water once instead of twice as it should. Replaced ice maker. Tested. IM completed harvest and filled twice as designed. Reset temps to previous settings (as they were before diagnostic mode was entered). Informed customer that unit makes 56-72 ice cubes in 24 hours and 2-3 days to fill ice bin. Unit functioning as designed. Call complete."

"On site for fridge not cooling properly. Customer stated that the RC is barely cold, the FC isnt as cold as before, and the ice is slightly melted. Found FC at about 30 degrees. Found ice build up on evaporator cover in FC. Found evap fan running. I was able to steam enough of the ice to get the evaporator cover off. Found bi-metal encased in ice and tried to run test 6 defrost heater and bi-metal. Unit displayed 02- bi-metal open. Then, I steamed out top of evaporator to gain access to bi-metal. I jumper wired bi-metal and ran test 6 to turn on heating element. Element came on. Replaced bi-metal. Informed customer to leave unit unplugged and doors cracked for at least 24 hours due to the amount of ice build up allowing evaporator to fully thaw out. Also, to put towels around floor of unit in case of any water leaking from ice melting. After at least 24 hours, plug unit back in and allow 24-48 hours for proper cooling temps. Informed customer that if same ice build up issue occurs after repair made today, the unit would also need UI control and main control. Call complete."

"On site for fridge slowly dispensing water. Customer stated: when making the appointment, WPL customer service advised her to remove the water filter and check the flow rate, it became normal. She then re-inserted the filter and hasnt specifically noticed an abnormal flow rate since. I tested the flow rate from dispenser and found the unit had proper flow. No issues found at this time. The customer advised that the drawer beneath the oven gets really hot when they bake for lengthy periods of time and that their handle will be almost somewhat burning to the touch. Tested the blower and found the blower operating properly. The unit did have the heat vent deflector on the bottom. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Joel SR# 7731940936. He advised that per the installation instructions, this is within normal range. He advised that per the installation instructions that the cabinetry can get up to 192?F and still be within legal range of what can be expected and is in the installation guide. I removed the vent cover located above the unit in the cabinets and found that the vent is smaller than the cutout and is restricting the damper from opening. Also, I found that the unit is not installed correctly and the front right mount is pulled out of the cabinet wood (photos). I advised the customer that the vent cover will need to be replaced and made larger to fit over the cutout in order fo rather damper to be able to open fully while in operation. Arrived on site for fridge not cooling in the rc section. We gained access to the fc evaporator and found it full of ice. We tested the defrost heater and found 107 ohms. We put the unit into diagnostic and forced a defrost. We found good voltage at the cabinet. We inspected the harness and found several pins not seated properly. We repeated the pins and retested the unit. It is now coming on and defrosting. I advised the customer to leave the unit off for 24 to 48 hours to let the system fully defrost. Job complete.

Arrived onsite for wall oven combo with microwave that will turn off mid cook and customer has to hold door shut for it to cook. Upon inspection I found a small dent on the left side right under the interlock switch. I called techline to report SR7731936099 Steve.

Arrived onsite for dishwasher with rust spots and not washing. Upon inspection I found no error codes stored. I found the spray arm was disconnected and falling apart. I reassembled the spray arm. The customer has concerns with the heater rusting. I can see some rust on the element. I found the outer door is dented and the damage also cracked the console. I will need to order the heater outer door and console to complete the repair. Arrived onsite for unit not making ice. Looked at the Ice maker and saw that the ice maker was worked but checked the temperatures in the freezer as it was set to negative 6 but taking temperatures with thermal coupler was 6 degrees. Looked at the evaporator and it looked good with no issues. Upon further inspection found that the compressor fan where the air blows was clogged with a bunch dust causing the unit to not breathe efficiently to help cool. Removed dust. Let customer know to keep the areas clean because of the issues it can cause. No other issues at this time. Job complete.

Ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. Ran a manual test on the valves, drain pump, and high speed span. The unit ran as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to JR SR# 7731931718. He advised that the issue was most likely with oversuds in or off-balance loads. The customer advised that she runs a load every single day and runs an outfit and two towels and A load of sheets once a week. JR mentioned that the oversuds in was most likely the issue if that was the case as the customer uses pods and asked if the customer had ever cleaned out her washer. The customer advised that they had not. He advise for her to run a clean washer cycle with afresh washer cleaner and then to run a load of towels without soap prior to any further loads. He also advised for the customer to limit the amount of soap usage and not to use pods unless if they?re using enough clothes to fill up a third of the basket. Advise the only other possible scenario with this issue would be with the main control. Replaced main control to illuminate any possibility of it being an issue with the machine. Calibrated the unit and ran the unit through an auto test. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to possibly install previous diagnosed parts. We gained access to the tension bars and found one of them broken. We replaced the tension bar and tested the microwave and it still showed door open. We gained access tobthe micro switches and tested them using the door and not using the door. All switches tested good. We gained access to the 20 amp fuse and found it open. We replaced the fuse and powered the unit on. E found the breaker tripping. We I specter the unit for any shorted or damaged wiring and we found none. We removed the unit from the home circuit, leaving nothing connected to the outlet for the microwave, we retested the breaker and still found it not resetting. The breaker and the outlet will need to be checked by an electrician.
