"Arrived on site and inspected washer and found error code for low water flow. Set washer into a diagnostic cycle and cold water is barely trickling. Remove cold water supply line and found it is blocked by calcium build up, took pictures. Flushed water line and cleared valve as much as possible of calcium. Cold water flow is now good. Replacing valve will not correct issue if water supply still has calcium deposit in it.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that had smoke coming out of the freezer. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that he thought he saw smoke coming out of the light fixture in the freezer and was worried there might be something going on. I remove the entire light fixture from the top of the cabinet and found no evidence of smoke, cut or charred wiring, or burning coming from the bulb, bulb housing or cabinet. The customer advised that it hasnt made the same smoke up here since but wanted to have it checked. The unit is working as designed.

"LMXS28596S Arrived to inspect no cool. I found the unit attempting to cool, but with slightly above room temperature RC and FC chambers. The compressor was running, but at room temperature, with no appreciable heat. The current draw, measured on the compressor voltage supply is usually an inaccurate measurement method with this type of unit, but with the meter in my possession, I found the compressor draw to be .6 amps, generally considered too low for the conditions the unit was found in. This denotes the high likelihood of compressor internal failure, but does not rule out the possibility of a system leak and cannot be tested further without tapping into the system

"Arrived to instal previously diagnosed and ordered parts. I removed the mullion for inspection and found one of the wires had been sheared off, likely during manufacturing. I installed the replacement. Verifying the inability of the UI to enter full test mode and only able to enter into the error mode, I removed and replaced. The new UI showed F3E8 within service test mode, when the new UI was installed. Attempts to get the unit into test mode still failed, even though it was able to be put into the first stage, error mode. I tested the harness from end-to-end and found very good continuity on all four wires. The 5VDC was present and I could read DCV on the other two connections as well, but the information for exacting expected readings was not published. I attempted main control replacement and there was no change. The RC door gaskets were mis-ordered and will require a return service. Office to order the H/T sensor, second door gasket and UI.Contacted MFG tech Rich. File# 7736494884. I was advised there is not a current work around for the service mode issue and it has been submitted to engineering for a direct response. The tech agreed with my summary and parts to be ordered. Arrived onsite for a freezer not making ice. I found ice in the mold. I ran a harvest test and the icemaker went thru a harvest and worked as designed. I ran a fill test and could hear the valve energizing but no water entered the mold. I disconnected the fill tube at the filter and ran the fill test again and had water coming out of the filter head. I ran service test 66 to turn the fill tube heater on and the UI reset and knocked me out of diagnostics showing a power failure. I checked the resistance on the fill tube heater and found it showing 19 ohms and in range. I disconnected the heater and ran test 66 again and verified 12 VDC to the heater. I reconnected the heater and every time test 66 was turned on the UI would reset and show power failure. The UI and possibly the fill tube assembly will need to be replaced. "Arrived on site to inspect venthood not venting and making noises. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit and found the motor making a grinding noise. I removed one the motor screens and retested and verified the motor making the grinding noise and not some debris. "Arrived on site to inspect cooktop middle burner flame going out when adjusting heights. Upon further inspection, I tested all burners and found all operating as designed except the middle burner flame would go out when switching from low simmer to medium. I contacted techline and spoke to Chris and advised of the complaint and previous repairs recently made to this unit. Chris advised to replace the middle burner valve and provided SR#7736493885. I removed and replaced the center valve and checked the gas line connections with my liquid gas leak detector and tested. Unit is operating as designed. "Arrived on site to inspect washer noises. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit will make a loud screeching metal on metal noise at the beginning of the spin cycle. I placed the unit in diagnostics shelving no error codes and tested. Unit operated as designed with no noise. Tilted the unit back and removed the cam pulley shield and found gearcase oil on the pulley and be.t shavings on the underside of the shield. I removed and replaced the gearcase, cam and belt and calibrated the unit. Retested in diagnostics and the unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not drying dishes. Upon further inspection, I found the customer not using rinse aid. Placed the unit is diagnostics showing no error codes. Continued with testing and during this time, using my multimeter, I tested amp draw to each component. I found the unit within amp range on all components namely the element at 7-9amps (photos). I removed the outer door panel and tested the element at the control and found it to be getting 125V (photo) and 15ohms-within ohms range (photo). I made recommendations for use and care to my customer, as well as, rinse aid usage. Customer did not agree with recommendations comparing the unit to old units. I contacted techline and spoke to Rob and advised of the complaint and my findings. Rob advised the customer must use rinse aid and turn the hot water on at the sink to allow the hot water to fill in the tub and there are no parts to replace at this time as unit is operating as designed. "MVW4505MW0 Arrived to inspect non-completion and odor. I was not able to detect an odor from the unit and the issue may have been non-related to the machine. There were no stored error codes and I removed and replaced the control and mode shifter, after verifying all other functions were present and the basket assembly was centered within the chassis, to ensure the most current software and to eliminate possibilities. The unit was sitting with equal weight distribution on all four legs and the suspension had no signs of malfunction or mis-installation. The basket was solidly anchored to the gear case output shaft and I found no other signs of excessive mechanical movement. I could not each the MFG tech assist line from the residence and contacted after job completion. Representative Ed, file #7736493213 and all findings and repairs were notated. No further repairs required. No leaks observed during service."

Found the gasket, barely making it above the freezer liner on the non-hinge side. Attempted to adjust the upper hinge and was unsuccessful in amkino any changes to the door leveling. I called Whirlpool techline and spoke to Adrian SR# 7736427232. He had me send several photos of the hinge, door and gasket. He advised that based on the level of the lean of the door, no damage done to the hinges, and in ability to manipulate the upper door hinge, that the unit would be sent to review. We did find a bow on the cabinet in the upper corner where the gasket is not sealing. He advised for me to tell the customer that whirlpool would be back in touch with us or the customer themselves based on the next steps. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for F9-E1 error code. Upon arrival ran diagnostics and got error F9-E1 long drain . Disassembled the unit to access drain pump. Found filter completely blocked with debris from living on a farm. Cleared debris from filter, hose and flushed tub with water. test unit. Unit is operating as designed. Contacted techline for assistance. Tech documented the findings. Instructed customer about what cannot be washed in this unit. Articles need to be shaken off well and have grass and feathers removed prior to washing. Tech gave SR# 7736493759."

"Arrived on site for not cooling correctly and frost forming in FC. Upon arrival inspected unit and found evaporator cover covered in ice. Removed Evaporator cover and melted all ice. Ran diagnostics and ran force defrost. Heater is receiving 120v and pulling 1.3 amps , and has a resistance of 90 ohms. Confirmed heater is operating correctly. Test evaporator fan motor and is operating correctly. Test both rc thermistor and fc thermistor. Am getting incorrect reading from FC thermistor. Replaced fc thermistor WPW10384183 and control W11546690. Customer will monitor unit. If issues persist, need to call techline"

"KDTM404KPS1 Arrived to inspect leak. The customer advised me the unit would leak at the front left corner and that it was soapy in appearance. I entered service test mode and found 9-2 and 8-4 error codes stored and I cleared for testing. Within service test mode I found all functions were present and the unit operated as designed. Inspection of the cabinet, gasket and all other areas exposed to water showed no signs of leaks. The customer had been using pods and the rinse agent was at the factory setting of A3. I set the rinse agent to A1 and discussed detergent type and amounts with the customer. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

"KRMF706ESS01 Arrived to inspect no ice. I found the FC was 13? and the RC was 37. I found the FC evaporator cover had the appearance of a partially frost filled evaporator and inspected. The evaporator was full of frost and I removed and tested. I verified the defrost system was intact. The drain tube assembly was clear but gapped significantly and I corrected. The ice maker fascia to bin gasket was badly folded and I corrected. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."
