Arrived on site for a refrigerator thats not dispensing water and the customer cannot get the filter out. Inspected unit and worked area. The customer was using a genuine replacement filter that is not the specs of this unit. Customer advised that he thinks he pushed it a little too hard inside the housing assembly so it is not pulling out whenever he opens the door. Was able to remove the filter and the customer had an extra filter from every drop which is the correct filter used on this unit. Installed the filter and test of the unit. The unit began to dispense water and operate as designed with no abnormal sounds. Ran through 2 gallons of water on the unit to clean out the filter charcoal out of the filter. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.

I did find the unit making a strange sound and the unit was heating but not ventilating. Checked blower wheel housing and found the blower wheel stripped due to a nail and two drillbits clogging the blower wheel housing and causing the wheel to strip. Replaced blower wheel and remove the instructions from the unit. Reassembled the unit and now the unit is working as designed. Call complete.; used 1 WP694089 (Blower Wheel) from stock

"Arrived on site for an oven that is steaming up the glass on the upper oven door. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that when she use the lower oven, the upper oven was steaming up and while it only happened one time she just wanted to make sure there wasnt an issue before her warranty ran out. I checked the gaskets and found the lower oven gasket smooshed potentially causing air seepage out of the oven while in use. Showed the customer how to re-adjust her gasket to allow the door to close fully. Tested the upper and lower oven fans in both checks good. Checked underneath the unit to make sure the air channel was not locked or concaved. All checked good. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Andrew SR# 7733144780. He advised that this can happen due to ambient air temperature, high moisture content in the food, or the gasket issue. He did advise for me to tell the customer that this is normal. The unit is not working as designed. Call complete."

The unit still was having issues with a Generation error message. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Rich SR# 7733034063. He had me run through several voltage checks as well as swaps of pins on the control to see if we could replicate the issue. All voltage checks came back good and no matter what we did with swapping connectors on the main board, we could not get the unit to act right. He advised that based on all the current information and parts replaced, this unit would be sent for review and to let the customer know that whirlpool would be in contact with myself or them within the next few business days. Call complete."

I used the dryer test vent kit and found poor airflow for all dryers. I then went to the vent to check the temperature fluctuations for airflow and found the temp would reach 150?F, but when it dropped it would never go back up. I then tried turning off and unplugging the unit. I found the unit not heating at all now. I checked voltage at the wall and terminal block and both were good. I then ohmd out all sensors, thermistors, the element, and the fuse. All checked good. I found voltage dropping from the control indicating a bad control. "Arrived to inspect no lights. I found the issue was the upper LED module had one led out and the rest were dim. I removed the module and rechecked the wiring and the issue was resolved when I plugged it back in. I tested multiple times and could not recreate the issue until the module was allowed to sit for a few minutes and cool down. Voltage to the module was 24.7 VDC with all LEDs working and 29.52 VDC with one and the others dim. The no-load VDC was 30.2. Due to the LED driver circuit voltage being loosely regulated and current regulated and temperature of the module assembly affecting its behavior, I suspect the module is the cause of the issue and we will need to return when the module arrives. No leaks observed during service. Office to schedule with the CX when p/n W11043011 arrives.; O-emld tckt"

"Arrived on site to check no lights, the CX presented a video that showed the crisper UI not working, the interior lights not working correctly and other functions very delayed. I checked the crisper door wiring harness and found it in good condition, i also inspected all connections and boards and found no problems. I performed a thermography and tested all loads and there was no excessive temperature on the boards. I inspected the ice maker housing after insuring correct mounting, found the fan running to slowly and the the ice maker door gasket barely contacting. The UI had signs of moisture of splashing and I advised the CX to not add ice to cups that have liquid in it. Office to authorize and order the ice maker fan and ice door assy and UI, office to contact CX to schedule service. No leaks observed during service. ; ordrng 1 W10833801 (Ice box fan) and 1 WPW10549589 (Ice door)"

"Arrived to instal previously diagnosed and ordered part. I removed and replaced the valve solenoid and tested. Through thermography, refrigerant switching could be verified to both evaporators and shut off as well. I sealed a large gap in the drain tube and removed a piece of foam that nearly blocked it. I verified the crisper drawer harness was intact and in serviceable condition, along with the connections to the associated control. I squared the chassis and matched the doors. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

"Arrived to inspect unit not staying on. The CX had the cord attached and after verifying both line VAC legs and connections, I tested. The unit would power on for about 5 seconds and shut off, unable to be started again. Service test mode revealed an F3E3. I removed the front panel and accessed the element area and found the inlet thermistor clearly unseated. I corrected the issue and tested. The unit heated and cycled as designed and I cleared the code from memory. Operational test good."

"Arrived on site for a dishwasher that is leaking from one of the components installed from the previous visit of another company. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the water leaked so bad that it caused cabinetry damage and wall damage to their entire kitchen and had all the cabinets ripped out prior to my arrival. He showed me where the water was leaking from and showed that it was from the drain pump. Found the drain pump not installed properly and not fully seated around all edges of the wash pump motor. Replaced the drain pump and was unable to test the unit as the customer does not have any wire, water, or drain hook ups at this juncture due to remodeling of his kitchen. Did ensure that the drain pump had a tight seal. The unit is now working as designed. Call complete."

I found the unit door cracked open and when I closed it, the drain pump came on. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the valve, motor, drain pump and all are operating as designed. I retested and it continued to operate as designed. Customer advised that the unit had stopped mid-cycle and it failed to drain. Looking through the tech manual, what the customer was describing was what the demo mode does. I tested the unit in a rinse only cycle and normal cycle and the unit continued to operate as designed. The customer advised that this unit completely lost power after trying to replace the lightbulb with the unit plugged in. He said that there was a loud pop down near the light housing and it tripped his breaker. He said that after he flipped his breaker back on that the unit would not turn on. Confirmed the customers complaint and checked the thermal fuse. Found the thermal fuse blown. Replace the thermal fuse and tested the unit. The unit began to work as designed. The customer did not have a lightbulb to replace to ensure that the control was good or not. He advised that he would go run to Ace Hardware to see if they had a bulb that he could plug-in. The customer called me back later on and advised the light bulb would not turn on. Will return with control and housing as I was not sent with either.
