"Arrived onsite for icemaker not working. On inspection found that the icemaker is not dispensing. When the paddle is pushed there is a grinding noise. I dumped all the ice out and tried to move auger and it was stuck. On further notice found that the crushed ice had frozen up in the ice bin keeping the auger from moving. I melted all the ice in the ice bin and reinstalled it, it now is moving freely. Replaced the ice back in the bin and tried the dispenser again., it is working now. The unit is operating as designed and no water leaks detected during service.o"

"Arrived on site to inspect dryer not heating. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit and found the element not coming on. I disaster unit and tested the element, cutoff, thermostat, and fuse and found the element open. Removed the element and found the middle metal plate cracked and the coils broken (photo). Also found a large amount of lint inside the unit (before photo). I replaced the element and cleaned the lint from the unit and reassembled the unit and tested. Unit is operating as designed. Using my vent test kit, I tested the unit with the vent tube attached at the back of the unit and it failed two tests. I removed the tube and retested and the unit passed (photos). I recommended the customer have the vent checked/cleaned. No lint observed at the end of service, job completed."

Arrived on site to test unit for getting too cold in RC and freezing items. Found thermistors were in range. Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making much ice and frosting up in the FC again. I found the FC at 5 degrees. I tested the thermistor from the control and it read as warmer than harvest temp. I ran a harvest and found the icemaker getting stuck at the break position and not returning to home position properly. I replaced the icemaker and ran harvest again. The icemaker works as designed. I found frost build up on the ice bin and around the bottom of the bin. I found the ice door not sealing properly and leaking warm air. The ice door separator will need to be replaced. I placed the unit back into diagnostics and found error code F7E1-motor failure. I advised the customer of my findings and explained why the unit was not draining due to the main control not receiving the motor signal to start the drain pump. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Per previous techs diagnosis, I was to install a new microwave inner door panel and shim the unit to get it leveled and not sitting on the front vents. Upon arrival, I tested the microwave door functions and its operating as designed (opening/closing). I found the unit is sitting on the drawer trim below the unit. I pulled the unit out and found the support board under the unit is installed too low creating a lip and not allowing the unit to sit properly (photo) and the mounting screws were not secured on the right side. Also found the cabinets are not cutout to specifications and are too wide from left to right and a piece of 1/2 inch trim has been added to take up the extra space (photo). I placed four shims on the support board to raise the unit so that it does not rest on the front lower vent and once I placed the unit back in its space, the unit continues to rest on the vents. I advised the customer of my findings and advised that they would need to contact their builder in regards to the cabinets not being cutout the proper size and advised of the trim piece. Also advised them of the bottom support board not being flush with the drawer trim and that it needed to be raised or the trim piece lowered to allow the unit to sit properly and not rest on the vents. Also advised that the microwave door is closing as designed and would not need the inner door panel to be replaced. I advised the customer that I would be contacting the manufacturer to get this info documented for future reference if needed. No repairs needed to the unit at this time. I contacted techline and spoke to Kurt and advised of my findings and that the issue with the unit is due to installation. Kurt agreed that it is an installations issue and provided SR#7737051271. Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not cooling in the RC again. On arrival the customer stated they unplugged the unit and defrosted it for 48 hours. They stated water was under the deli and crisper drawers in the bottom of RC. They also stated there was some ice build up around the door of the FC. I found the FC at -2 degrees and the RC at 40 degrees but the unit was still cooling. I found the evaporators clear of frost and working as designed. I checked the RC drain with my camera and found it clear. I found the drip pan straight and not bowed. I found the thermistors good. I found the deli UI dry and working as designed. I did find some ice on the left and right sides of the FC liner by the door and along the bottom. The customer stated when all this happened the ice in the bin started melting. I suspect water from the bin and water from the RC leaked out and got around the FC door causing that issue but I could find no other issues or a reason for the RC drip pan not to drain properly in the RC at this time. The customer stated they never heard any fan noise. I went over with the customer what to look for and what to do if it happens again. At this time all is working as designed. Call complete.

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not draining properly. Upon further inspection, I found a small amount of water in the tub and the sump. I pressed the cancel button and the drain pump came on and drained the water. I checked the drain hose under the unit and under the sink area and found debris at the disposal. It appears that debris from the disposal is entering the drain hose and settling causing it to clog. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes and tested. The unit operated as designed. Customer advised that they feel the disposal is too small for their home. It appears that the disposal tub is very small but its the proper horsepower. Since previous tech cleaned the drain hose and there is a continued issue with draining, I am ordering a new drain hose and will return with all prescreened parts and scheduled return service for 08/17/23. "Arrived on site to inspect microwave/oven wall combo unit with no power. Upon further inspection, I found the unit not installed in the cabinets and sitting on the dining room floor (photo). Using my multimeter, I tested voltage at the outlet and found 239V between L1 & L2, but no voltage between L1 & Neutral and L2 & Neutral. After further inspection of the outlet, I found the Neutral point of contacts inside the outlet were spread too wide and not making contact with the prong on the power cable (photos). I spoke with t(e builder and showed him the issue with the outlet. Recommended replacing the outlet and if there continues to be issues, to call our office to schedule service. Unable to test unit due to not being installed and unable to move the unit without scratching the floors. Job completed."

The customer stated the noise got real bad on Sunday and it stopped but it also stopped cooling correctly in the RC. I ran service test 90 and had 123VAC out of the main control between P2-5 and P1-2 but I had no amp draw indicating an open circuit. Either the heater or thermal fuse has failed. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked error codes and found F6E0-UI lost communication. I removed and replaced the control panel and retested and unit is operating as designed. Also was able to get the unit connected to wifi. Job completed."

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Per previous techs diagnosis, I removed and replaced the cam assembly and pulley shield. Upon my arrival, the cuetomer had a cycle performing and was in the beginning of a spin cycle. I had to pause the cycle before installing new parts. Once parts were installed, I continued the cycle and the unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Arrived on site to follow up on refrigerator with ice under the freezer shelves. Found drain was clogged and not draining. Blew out drain and melted down ice. Unit now draining properly. Repair completed.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that has uneven doors. Inspected unit and work area. Customer advise that the issue is with his refrigerator door not being completely flush with the freezer door at the top. I did confirm the customers complaint and found that the refrigerator door at the top was pulled out a fifth of an inch. Checked the gaskets and found that the freezer side gasket had molded in a way that was a little thinner than the refrigerator door dead. Attempted to fix the hinges for the door and found the issue not with the hinges, but with the gasket. I found no evidence of any frost or moisture in the freezer or refrigerator sections, indicating a good seal. I advise the customer that the issue is with the word gasket was molded to the cabinet. I called whirlpool techline and spoke to Andrew SR# 7737044284. He had me send him several photos of what was going on, and advised that there was nothing wrong with the unit, and that the gaskets are going to form to however, they were shaped from the factory. He advised to make no repairs at this time and that the unit is working as designed. Call complete."
