"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. Found the customer had not defrosted the unit as requested prior to our arrival and was unable to remove the evaporator cover. I did finally fresh food van still not running and spun it by hand. Found the motor itself had actually failed. Spoke to CS about the defrost issue in the evaporator cover and was advised that we could not remove the evaporator cover without potentially damaging the sealed system. Was advised to proceed forward with what I can fix now but not to force the evaporator cover off. Replaced the evaporator fan and tested the unit. The unit began to run and operate as designed. Because of the defrost issue, I was unable to test anything else to ensure everything was working properly. I did advise the customer of the situation and told them to keep an eye on the unit over the next 30 days to see if the issue persists. I did advise them prior to testing the unit, they will need to defrost their unit again because of the ice buildup. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is leaking and its not completing cycles. Inspected unit and work area. Found the washer flashing an F9 E1 (long drain) error code. Ran the unit through diagnostics and did confirm that error message. Checked the bellow for any puncture marks and found several. Went to remove the front panel and found excessive water damage to the unit. See photos. It appears that the leak has been going on for sometime and has caused the front panel and bottom portion of the frame to rust pretty heavily. Was unable to remove two screws off of the bottom panel due to rust. Checked the drain pump filter and found the filter completely clogged with coins, screws, hair bands. and a razor blade. Removed all the instructions from the filter and replaced the bellow. Reassembled the unit and tested the unit in an auto test. The unit began to work and operate as designed. I did inform the customer that in future repairs, if the damage appeared to be caused by the water damage, that it would not be covered under the warranty due to customer damage. Customer was aware of issue. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a dryer that is not spinning the basket. Inspected unit and work area. Confirmed the customers complaint and found that the unit was getting hot but the dryer would not turn. Checked underneath the unit and found the thermal fuse blown again. Checked across the heater relay on the control board and found it open when unplugged indicating the Relay was not welded shut. Check continuity between the power cord in the heater and found it open indicating that the centrifugal switch was good. Checked all other heating components and found them all had continuity. I called whirlpool Techline and spoke to Travis SR# 7733494860. He had me make a few checks and advised that if the unit was heating but not turning, the heater had to be grounded against the cabinet. I did confirm that the heater showed continuity with the housing. He then advised that that will continue to make the heater stay on after the cycle finishes and will eventually blow the thermal fuse. He advised replace the thermal fuse and element for full repair. Got authorization from claims to replace both parts. Replaced both the element and the thermal fuse and tested the unit. The unit is working and heating as designed. I did advise the customer to keep an ion her unit over the next week and to call back if any other issues persist. Call complete."

I adjust the foam seal apogee the ice maker to help prevent the fill tube from freezing again. "Arrived to inspect water dispenser issues. Upon arrival, I found the dispenser inoperative and the chiller had frozen. The RC was set to 40 and the issue should not have occurred. Further inspection revealed the lower mullion incorrectly installed and there was an approximate 1/8 gap. I contacted the mfg tech line, tech Travis. "Arrived on site to inspect microwave venthood light not working. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit and found the venthood light not coming on. I removed the bulb and found the elements in the bulb are bad. I replaced the bulb and retested and unit is operating as designed. Job completed."

"Arrived on site to inspect range with gas leak. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they randomly smell gas coming from the range/oven and the unit is setting off their smoke alarms. I removed the bottom panel to access the bake burner and removed the bottom drawer as well. I tested the unit on bake at 350 degrees and when the bake burner came on, I could not smell any gas fumes. I tested the broil burner and could not smell gas fumes. I did find the bake burner orifice hood wide open so I closed it and left approximately 1/4 inch opening and retested. The bake burner is operating as designed. I tested the cooktop and found the back right burner not igniting as soon as the burner is turned on, at which point, I could smell the gas. The middle burner took a quick second for the flame to travel all the way around it and I could smell the gas, but the odor was brief. With the smoke detectors going off while using the unit, I found the microwave venthood does not vent outside; it vents back into the kitchen and is why the detectors are going off. I recommended that the customer have a vent placed in the home since the wall backs to the outside. I am ordering a RESEARCH-GAS SNIFFER and CNOTE-SEND DIFFERENT TECH-NO LS to see if a different tech can smell the odor. Office to schedule return service. "Arrived on site for washer not completing cycles. Upon arrival confirmed complaint and found following errors: F0e3, f2e1, f7e5, f7e8. After further inspection found resistance to clutch at 3.89 ohms through harness and directly at clutch. Found rotor had rubbing marks as well as clutch cracked in multiple areas. Found gearcase leaking oil. Suspension rods failed leading to unit contacting and rubbing on floor. "Arrived on site to diagnose cooktop that isn't heating the FL burner. Tested unit and found the ON light is always on, and burner isn't heating. Removed cooktop cover and found the FL infinite switch fried on one contact. Replaced switch. Tested are verified all working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator that is running almost constantly, but doesn't have any noticible temp drops. Checked Temps in both compartments and found RC at 35, FC at 16. Removed evap cover and found only 40% of the evap has a frost pattern, and Temps are increasing. Unit has a failing sealed system causing the issues. Customer does not wish to pursue a sealed system repair and will replace the unit.

"Arrived on site to diagnose induction cooktop that had made a smoking smell. Removed cooktop and found a fried heatsink / mosfet on the right module causing the failure. Talked with PR who mentioned that the units must have an airflow channel for the hot air to escape cut under the countertop. If this is not present the unit can overheat and cause failures. Called safety and reported findings. Safety advised that customer has to cut the airflow channel and follow up with them for next steps. Unit needs a new right module, W10857233. Customer will follow up after they talk with WPL. Safety ref 7733450418. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to replace previously diagnosed parts. Replaced burner base, burner cap, igniter and left front burner valve with no improvement. Removed wire from LF spark to module and no signs of corrosion. Cleaned wire with electrical cleaner and same issue persists. Not confident any further repairs would correct issue as all possible parts have been replaced multiple times."

"Arrived on site for a dryer that pops open the door when in use. Inspected unit and work area. Customer devised that is not the complaint but that the unit makes a loud noise during operation after 5 to 10 minutes. Customer had a video that he showed me where it sounded like the blower wheel rubbing up against the blower wheel housing due to the screech. Ordering blower wheel, motor, repair kit, clamp, and motor bracket. "Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not spinning out cloths. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that he is having to run a drain and spin after each cycle in order to ring out the clothes properly. Ran the end of the diagnostics and found an F5 E4 (door not opened between cycles. I ran the unit through a manual filling and drain and found the unit filling and draining properly. Tested the unit and a manual drain and spin and the unit ran as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Robert SR# 7733488035. He advised that per one of their senior technicians, there was an issue with some of these whirlpool and Maytag washers that have a no spin option on cycles and that the unit will automatically defaults back to no spin unless the customer changes the spin setting. I did verify with the customer that several of his cycles that he runs are on no spin settings. He advised to make no repairs and have the customer make sure that the unit is on high speed span every single cycle in order to ensure that all clothes are spun out properly. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."
