"KBFN502ESS01 Arrived to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. I found the unit cold upon arrival, FC 5? and RC 43? and the FC evaporator was completely encased in frost, with ice at the lower portion of the evaporator and defrost element, denoting a working defrost system. Further inspect revealed the FC lower drawer had a rigid, open cell foam block placed in the area of the light switch contact point. The block prevented full closure of the FC door and likely the cause of the persistent evaporator freezing. I removed the block and defrosted the evap, noting the unit started cooling as expected. The customer will contact us if issues persist. Warranty applied to service, no leaks observed during service."

Unit is now operating as designed.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that will not power on. Inspected unit and work area. The customer had unplugged the unit after the unit was unresponsive and has not tried it since. I confirmed the customers complaint, and as the unit was plugged in, I found the unit stuck in a drain. held down the start button for 5 to 7 seconds for the drain pump to check off and turn the unit back on. On the unit illuminating and working as designed. I ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. I ran the unit through an auto test, and the unit worked and operated as designed. I started a cycle and found the unit working in operating as designed. I did explain to the customer that if their unit gets off balance that this can happen, and that they just need to press and hold the start button until the drain pump stops to cancel out the cycle. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice. On arrival I found the bottom of the ice bucket with some ice. The customer stated it was all the ice made in the last 24 hours. I checked temps and found the temperature at the icemaker only getting down to 13 degrees. I tested the FC thermistor and found when it was in a 32 degree ice bath it was reading resistance for 37 degrees and when it was dropping it would show open at times. The thermistor needs to be replaced. The customer has received two orders from Whirlpool for the metal grille and the plastic skirt and both do not fit this unit. The mounting holes for the grille line up correctly but the punch out for the filter housing is an 1 5/16 to far to the right to go over the filter housing. I sent all this info to SR for parts research along with photos. We also called techline and spoke with Steve and we found out someone had put in a parts research for this same issue, SR# 7737341938. Techline had us move the filter housing over to the right and there was another hole there that we mounted it to and the grille fit properly. After 11 minutes unit claimed to preheat with internal temp of 397. Monitored the heat cycle and temperatures ranged as follows, low 327, high 373, low 323, high 373 averaging out at 349. Unit is operating as designed. Leveled the unit and I nformed the customer of my findings."

"KBFC42FTS03 GP arrived on site to inspect water leaking from underneath refrigerator and ice in the freezer. Upon arrival the FC door was slightly ajar on the right side and there was water pooling underneath the unit and a sheet of ice on the FC floor. Further inspection revealed gapping in the lower right side of the FC gasket and moisture where the gasket should have been in contact with the cabinet. Discovered a square of foam taped to the back of the main FC drawer on the right side making contact with the light switch preventing the right side from fully seating when the door is closed. I suspect that one of the servicer(s) that had worked on the unit prior to Appliance Express, had applied the 1/8 foam, self stick spacer, to prevent some unknown symptom. I removed the non-factory spacer and tested. The door function and fitment was as expected and the gasket started sealing around the FC cavity opening. Operational test good, no leaks of the water supply observed during service."

I was able to adjust the gasket and set it back in place. Tested the racks by pulling them out and sliding them back in and found when pulling the 3rd level rack out, the slide lock was grabbing at the gasket. I made recommendations on 3rd level rack use and its movements to my customer as there is no repair to correct this issue other than changing the way the rack is pulled out and slid back in. "Arrived on site for a washing machine that is still making abnormal sounds during the spin portion of the cycle. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the sound generally happens during the medium spin between the wash cycle and the rinse cycle. She advised that the heavier the load, the less the unit makes the sound, but it will still make the sound. She also said that during the final spin , the noise will be less prevalent at higher speeds. I checked the suspension and found the suspension was good. Ran the unit through diagnostic testing, and everything ran and operated as designed. I checked underneath the unit and found it a slight issue with the belt slipping on the cam. I spoke to GC and was advised to replace the belt, Kim, and actuator in case, if the shifter wasnt properly shifting the unit into a proper spin and causing possible, rubbing sounds. Went ahead and replaced all three parts. I called Whirlpool techline and spoke to Butch SR# 7737233030. I advised him as to what has been done to this unit and all of my checks. The customer requested to show him a video of the sound that she was hearing. He advised that the video did not sound completely abnormal in regards to these units. He stated that because this unit is filled with a lot of mechanical parts, that she may be hearing noises that she may have heard before or new noises from these units, but that because the unit is fully operational and working as designed, he would not repair any other parts due to, the complaint, the customer is giving. Advised that based on what the customer is saying, there is nothing that he can say that would be an issue with the unit, and that there may be some issue with the hoses off the back of the unit or water inside of the water ring making more sound during lower speed spins. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

Arrived onsite for a washer making a grinding noise during the rinse cycle. I tested the washer in diagnostics and the unit completed the cycle and worked as designed. The only issue is the belt was very loose. I changed the belt and tested the washer in a quick wash cycle with a load of towels. The washer completed the cycle and works as designed and sounds normal. I went over piling the clothes and detergent use and amount with the customer. Arrived on site to test unit for door falling. Test unit and found tub frame damaged. Will order new tub and bushings office to reschedule ; ordrng 1 W10909756 (Tub) and 2 WP8268990 (Bushings)s

Arrived on site to install new diffuser to resolve defrost / lack of cooling. Replaced with new diffuser per tech line recommendations. Verified a new outlet is present and dedicated. Repair completed.

"Arrived on site for dishwasher rack not working correctly. On inspection the rack was falling out when you pulled it out. Installed the new adjuster kit onto,the rack and installed it back into the unit. The rack is operating as designed and no water leaks detected during shipment."

Arrived on site to test unit for noise when unit is being used. Found noise coming from turntable. Found food stuck on wheels. Cleaned wheels and track test unit no noise job complete.

Arrived to install previously diagnosed parts. Upon arrived I installed the new leds and tested the unit and found unit operating as drain SP S84638.

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher leaking water. Upon further inspection, I found the space where the unit sits was empty. After looking around the home, I found the unit sitting in the pantry and also found damage to the wall to the left of the unit (photos). Unable to diagnose the unit, I notified the office (MS) and advised of my findings and was advised to not move the unit as it will need to be installed before servicing. I inspected the unit where it sat for any visible damage to the tub or inside the unit and found packing styrofoam inside the tub at the back near the element (photo). Inspected the cabinets and found water damage on the right side of the cabinets (photos). As I was leaving the home, the builder arrived and contacted another builder and advised that the unit did not need servicing as they had already corrected the issue which was the water hose from the valve under the sink to the inlet valve on the unit had been installed incorrectly and cross threaded. No repairs made at this time. No water leaks observed during service as the unit was not installed. Job completed."

Arrived on site to test unit for humming noise. Recommend replacing left RC door gasket. Advised customer to video the noise as unabated to replicate. Office to reschedule. ; ordrng 1 W10917313 (Left RC gasket)

Arrived onsite for a MW that is leaving grease on the cabinet. Upon arrival I ran the vent motor on both speeds and found that it cam on and ran normal and found that it had good suction. Upon speaking with the customer I found that they cooked with a lot of oil which is causing the issue as the unit is moving the steam and most of the oil particulates out but Some of oil particulars may stay in the air after they turn the vent off and get stuck Tuesday cabinets. I advise the customer to leave the event running for a while after they are finished cooking to see if that improves the situation or not but other than that the unit is operating as designed. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered part. Per previous techs diagnosis, I removed and replaced the control panel and assisted the customer in connecting the unit to WiFi. Customer main complaint is that steam goes up into the control panel and causes the control panel to malfunction. I suggested placing a strip of foil tape on the underside of the panel to help block the steam from getting inside the UI. The customer agreed to the tape and I placed a strip of foil tape on the bottom of the panel (photo). Unit is operating as designed, job completed."

Arrived on site for refrigerator with bad tasting water. Upon arrival confirmed taste of ice cubes and tested water directly from cutoff behind unit. Found water coming into unit was tainted as well and instructed customer they would need o get ahold of maintenance to test water and possibly install a pec fill line. Units working as designed with no leaks. Call complete
