"Arrived on site for range smoking from cooktop and oven. Upon arrival found stable 240v from outlet to terminal with no breaks or burns. Found all wiring intact. Found Bake element 22.6 ohms, broil element 16.1 ohms, 1.086k ohms. Found charred food debri in bottom of oven that had caused smoke. Also found front two large burners of cooktop had oil/grease food debri had spilled onto burners and cooked onto glass. Reported findings to whirlpool safety team sr# 7737328997. Tested oven and found no smoke build up occuring once debri was removed, then instructed customer(tenant) on range care and use to prevent occurrence again but customer argued about findings. Arrived onsite for a microwave with burn marks. The customer stated the previous tenant melted the turntable ring and shattered the turntable. They replaced both but there is a burn mark under the turntable on the cavity. I did find a burn mark on the paint of the cavity under the turntable about the size of a dime but it was still smooth and only requires sanding and touch up paint. I tested the microwave and found it putting out a 1000 watts and working as designed. The customer is going to touch the spot up themselves. I called the Whirlpool Safety Team and spoke with Amanda giving her my findings SR# 7737363060. Use Authorization # W18NPJ1WL1. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for dryer not heating. On inspection turn unit on and there was no heat. Checked at the terminal block and we had 247 vac. Gain access to the heating element and it was 9.3 ohms the thermistor was 10k ohms the cut off was the thermal fuse was good. Tested the belt switch and it was good. Put everything back together and went to the control board. Was only getting 124 vac off the relay. Installed the new control board and tested the unit. It is now heating as designed.

"Arrived on site to follow up on dishwasher that was leaking. Customer said unit completed 2 cycles and then leaked starting on the third. Found unit had a nasty leak, but no damaged was found to kitchen. I ran the unit and observed the leak. I found the short hose on the wash motor had started leaking / ruptured from the rubber. I also saw water start pouring out of the sump assembly as well where it's sealed to the tub. Spoke with MS in office and customer. Advised we can either cease repair, or the required parts to potentially resolve are a sump assembly, sump gasket, new wash motor and elbow, new hoses and a diverter assembly to resolve leaks and prevent future leaks with a new sump. Customer will follow up with office on what they want to do."

Upon arrival I pushed the normal but and found that it worked, I ran a Normal cycle with no issue I then contacted Butch at techline a documented my findings and the fact the we had been out on the same issue four times in total and it was determined as the unit is operating as designed this time out that I would not replace the Ui but to Double check the voltage and the polarity at the junction box as if any of them is wrong this can cause the unit to act erratic.they were correct. At this point I got the Sr#7737149288. And the advice to give to the customer that they use their pointer finger print not the tip as using your pointer finger print makes it easier for the Ui to register you button presses."

Arrived onsite for a dishwasher with all the cycle and option lights flashing. The customer told me when running a cycle the machine will just stop and the clean light starts flashing. He stated when this happens the UI will not respond and nothing else is running on the machine. I checked for correct voltage and polarity finding both good. I ran the diagnostics service cycle and it completed the cycle working as designed. The issue sounds like the same issue that Technical Service Pointer #: W11682433 was issued for. I changed the control and tested the unit. All is working as designed.

Upon further inspection, the customer advised the inlet water would not shut off and it continued to overflow the reservoir so they turned the unit off. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested and found the water shutting off as designed and the unit is operating as designed. I took it out of diagnostics and turned t(e unit on to allow it to operate normally. I found the sensor in the recirculating pump was not recognizing the fill and the water would overflow until the control timed out after 2 minutes. I removed and replaced the recirculating pump and retested and unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed part. Inspected unit and work area. I replaced the right front burner and tested the unit. Still had the same issue with the inner coil turning on, but the exterior coil would not turn on. Check voltage and checked, continuity through the harness, and found proper, continuity and voltage at the element. Went ahead and replace the wire harness just in case and test the unit again. Still had the same issue. Spoke to JC and was advised that we would need to contact the extended warranty over this issue due to the fact that switch, wiring, harness, and element have been replaced once or twice each. At this time, we have replaced everything in the circuit to fix this issue and cannot guarantee a proper fix. The office will need to contact the extended warranty to find an alternate resolution."

Continued with testing and the unit operated as designed until spin mode and the unit began to shake vigorously and the tub ring was banging on top panel and sides. I raised the top panel and found the tub ring damaged and the basket is off on spinning. When I pushed down on the tub assembly and let it go, the tub came back up but pulled towards the front of the unit. I am ordering the tub ring and returning tech to replace the gearcase, cam, suspension rods and tub ring. Arrived onsite for ice machine not producing ice. Found that the cap on the water tray was very lose and allowing the water to drain before it could fill to capacity. The ice never goes in to production mode if there is not enough water in the tray. Tighten the cap and it made a slap of ice that was on the grid when I left and another slab of ice was being produced. No water leaks detected during service. Customer said that they closed on May 20 of 2023 on the house.

"(SV) KDTE204KPS1 Not filling with water. On arrival found error code F7E2. Ran diagnostic test found during test unit would do emergency flood stage. Due to the machine having the three wire speed controlled motor, the unit sensed no rotation and immediately failed, similar to the overflow and inlet failures. I removed the motor and found that it was seized and internally corroded, due to lack of use and I replaced the assembly. The unit operated as designed and all functions were present. No leaks observed during service."

They also explained that one of the wheels had popped off the side slide, but that they were able to pop that back on, and it has been working fine ever cents. I confirmed the customers complaints and found the slide. Perfectly operational and functional with no missing teeth or abnormality to the slide. "Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making abnormal sounds during operation. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that since they bought the machine, the unit has not worked properly and is not actually washing the clothes. I checked the agitator, and found the agitator extremely loose. went to lift up on the agitator and found it completely came off, even though the bolt was still inside. Checked the inner part of the agitator and found the spline was good, indicating the bolt had never been screwed down at the factory. I tightened the agitator bolt onto the driveshaft and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete."

"WRS315SDHM08 Arrived to inspect cooling issue. I found the unit cooling, but the evaporator was completely frozen and airflow was stopped. I found the defrost element wiring incorrectly routed and normal evap icing had forced the connector apart, rendering the element inoperative. I was able to correct the connector issue and correctly routed the wiring. I removed the ice from the evaporator and tested. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."
