Arrived onsite for a refrigerator that is making a loud scraping noise that gets louder when the FC door is opened. On arrival the customer had the unit unplugged and the doors opened. After speaking with the customer they stated that they didnt see any frost coming out of the lower vents of the evaporator cover when the noise was happening. I tested what I could in diagnostics but couldnt find anything wrong at this time. I explained to the customer that I suspect the FC door could have been left cracked open or it could possibly have a defrost issue again but if it did happen again to leave it running and call us so we can find the issue. Arrived onsite for a dryer to replace the previous diagnosed parts. I installed a thermal cutoff kit and tested the dryer. The dryer is working as designed and cycling between 120-165 degrees when on high heat at the exhaust with the vent hose off but with the hose connected the dryer gets up to 185 degrees and the temp drops very slow indicating a restricted vent. I advised the customer to have their house vent cleaned before using the dryer. I explained that using it before the vents were cleaned could result in the thermal cutoff failing again. I found the installer had removed the anti-drain back loop on the side of the unit and in doing so, allowed the drain line to get pulled to the back of the chassis, kinking the rubber drain line connector at the front of the unit. "Arrived on site for a washing machine that will not move past the sensing portion of the cycle. Inspected unit and worked area. The customer advised of the unit makes a grinding sound and does not go past the sensing portion of the cycle and will shut off. The customer ran a a load on the normal wash cycle and I immediately heard the sound. Checked underneath the washer and found the cam has been completely stripped. Due to the load that was in the washer, I did advise the customer against washing blankets and thicker items that are really weedy when saturated. I did advise the customer that the manufacturer recommends to take those to the laundromat such as quilts, comforters, sleeping bags, rugs, etc. the customer advised this unit specifically for the space so they could wash whatever they needed. I could feel something rubbing and there was drag when rotating the basket. I removed the basket and found nothing under it and determined the drag was in the gearcase. I replaced both then ran a calibration cycle and a service diagnostics cycle. The machine completed the cycle and works as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service.
