Checked water circulation of water did not seem quite right and only getting a thin sheet of ice. As I was disassembling the reservoir and pump assembly found that the circulation hose was loose and only half way on. Secured the hose and get the unit. Customer said that the unit is now operating totally better than when he had the issues. Customer will monitor the production of ice and call u back with further issues. Job complete

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator temps. Upon further inspection, I found both compartments not cooling properly. I found ice on the FC evap cover. I removed the cover and found the evaporator engulfed in ice/frost. Using my steamer, I removed the ice from the thermistor and tested ohms and found the thermistor reading 3461ohms, which at temp readings, its reading that its approximately 67 degrees. I removed and replaced the thermistor and tested and its reading properly now. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the defrost heater and it is operating as designed. I left the heater on to help remove the ice and using my steamer, I removed the remaining ice. I found the suction line badly bent where it does into the cabinet liner (photo). I recommended that the customer monitor the unit and if they notice ice/frost on the evap cover again to call it in for service. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived onsite for washer making tapping noise when spin cycle starts. Upon arrival tested unit with load. Found that when the spin cycle first starts for the first few seconds there is a tapping sound. After that the spin cycle is normal. Called tech line for assistance. Tech stated that the beginning of a spin cycle the load is trying to balance itself. Some of the noise could be caused at that stage, then leveled out. Provided SR#7733329543. Also recommended taking off top and back panel to inspect for anything loose. Did as instructed. Did not find any loose cable, hose or wire harness. Documented with tech line. Test load competed as designed with the exception of the noise at the beginning of the spin cycle. Customer stated noise is present on every load. Customer will monitor but more than likely will be reaching out to Maytag."

While testing, I checked amp draw to the components and found the wash motor getting up to 2amps which is too high. Also found the element is bad. I removed the outer door panel and tested the motor and element at the control and found both bad. Also found the vent leaking water from the gasket area. I removed the outer door panel and tested the motor from P5-1 to P5-2 and got 16.6ohms. Tested the harness and it was good. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found no stored error codes. I ran a test cycle and a high spin. I could not replicate the leak, but was able to hear a loud screech on the ramp up for spin. I gained chess to the bottom of the unit me found the belt wearing down with debris everywhere. I removed the cam and found some excess play in the gearcase shaft. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator making loud humming noise. Upon further inspection, the customer provided a video of the noise and immediately I could tell it was the fan hitting ice. I removed the bottom crisper drawer and found a block of ice on the RC evap cover (photo). I attempted to remove some the ice/frost and could tell the evap drip pan was badly warped. I had my customer sign the waiver of damages from defrosting refrigerator and recommended that the customer pull the unit out and unplug it and place towels around the back of it to help absorb any water that may leak when defrosting the unit. I advised the customer on what parts needed to be replaced. Recirculating pump not engaging and reservoir drain pump was pulsating. Also found bin thermistor was stuck open. Recommend replacing pump harness for corrosion, drain and recirculating pumps for corrosion and damaged. Water level sensor that comes with recirculating pump assembly, Control for fluctuating voltages. Bin thermistor and water tubes to prevent future pump issues as excessive calcium build up present.
