Arrived on site for a washing machine that wont drain. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit was doing just fine until it stopped draining at all. I checked underneath the washer and found no evidence of any broken wires. Gained access to the drain pump and found a piece of copper wire stuck inside the drain pump assembly and had eaten up at the impeller on the drain pump itself. Went ahead and replaced the drain pump and ran the unit through an auto test. Found the unit working and operating as designed with no leaks present during operation. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not making ice. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit got stuck in the middle of a harvest and has not been able to be reset since. I did confirm that the twist tray was angled diagonally, and not moving. I tested the icemaker and found that the motor would not turn. I replaced the icemaker and tested the unit. Found the unit harvesting and filling as designed. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not making ice. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit had stopped making ice so they bought store-bought ice to be able to Spence ice other ice dispenser. After this, they noticed that the ice is completely clumped in the ice container and was causing the bay alarm on the icemaker not to be able to open and close properly. Since then, they have been able to get the icemaker to work. However, she advised that when they remove the ice clump from her ice container, the food inside of the freezer was falling out, and their ice cream was almost like soup. I took temperature of the refrigerator and freezer sections and found the freezer sitting at 3?F. I found the refrigerator temperature at 36?F. I found no evidence of any defrost issue or compressor issues with the unit. I ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. I called whirlpool techline and spoke to Aaron SR# 7738770363. He had me ask the customer several questions about what happens with the machine whenever theyre losing their cool. The customer advised that the unit still has lights on in the refrigerator and freezer sections and that the machine just fixes itself when it wants to. Can you advise that it usually recovers within 24 hours of when they initially find The items defrosting. Aaron advised that because theyre not losing power and they are starting to re-cool within 24 hours of losing the call every single time, the issue would have to be with the door being left a jar. Advised to make no repair at this time and advise the customer to take a video of what is happening so that they can see if theres anything going on with the unit itself. I did advise the customer of techlines findings. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to inspect washer not spinning out the clothing. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F8E1-long/no fill. Cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit completed testing, but I noticed the water level not over the washplate when filling. The customer described the amount of clothing theyre putting into the unit which told me that shes not putting enough clothing into the unit and its not getting enough water which in turn is causing the unit to get off balance and not completing the cycle. Also found the customer is using too much detergent. I retested a few more times and each time I noticed the unit not getting enough water. I tilted the unit back and inspected the components underneath and found all components good. When I went to check the valve screens, I found the hot water valve, at the wall, was not turned on. Removed the hoses from the unit valve and inspected the valve screens and they are good and clear. Re-attached the hoses and retested the unit in diagnostics and this time the water level was correct and the unit completed testing. I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, detergent use. No repairs needed at this time. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is frosting in the freezer section. Inspected unit and work area. The customer showed me exactly what was going on and we found frost buildup in the upper left-hand corner of the freezer section at the door. I found that the left-hand side of the door was not closing fully. I removed the door and check the slides. Found the left hand slide had not been fully pushed back at the factory. I adjusted the left-hand slide and tested the unit. Found the door opening and closing as designed with no air gaps present leading towards the frost buildup. I remove the frost up at the top of the freezer and advise the customer that they can either remove the rest of the frost or let it dissipate over the next few weeks. The unit is now working an operating as designed. Call complete.

"KCGS556ESS05 Arrived to inspect ignition issue. The only affected burner was the center one and while down within the detention area, it would not ignite every time. This being an issue specific to the dual burner valve assembly, I advised the customer to keep the knob pressed during rotation and the issue is fully corrected. The customer was able to perform the ignition in that manner and I advised it on all of the other burners as well. Operational test good, no gas leaks detected during service."

Arrived on site for washer with broken washplate and making a loud noise. Upon arrival found plate failure and replaced it. I also found rotor screw loose and slider broken. Arrived onsite for a dryer not heating correctly. The tenant in apt# 8303 stated the dryer was switched out. I returned to the office and they found out maintenance had moved the dryer to apt# 9104. I found the thermal fuse open. I replaced the thermal fuse but was not able to test the drier because maintenance had it out in the middle of the kitchen floor at this time. Call complete.

Upon further inspection, as I removed the light cover, the customer advised that the light will come on when the button is pressed on the control, but wont come on when the oven door is opened. I found that this unit does not have a door switch that would turn the light on when the door is opened. I verified this info by researching the parts diagram and found no switch in the diagram. I advised the customer of my findings. I tested the light by turning the light on at the control and it is operating as designed. No repairs needed at this time, unit is operating as designed. Arrived onsite for oven shutting down. On inspection found that this issue has been going on for a while. I found error F6E0 in memory. I replaced the UI and called tech support. Tech said that it has to be connected to the internet to get updates. Customer connected the unit to the internet. Arrived onsite for washer with broken parts. The agitator and washplate were broken at the base. Installed new parts and test unit. The agitator is operating as designed from the factory.

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher display frozen/not working. Upon further inspection, I found the display flashing the time remaining for the cycle and when I pressed the keys, nothing happened except the button indicator making a beeping noise. I found the display child lock turned on and when I pressed and held the sani rinse key for three seconds, the panel unlocked and I was able to get the unit to drain. Once I had the unit drained. I placed it in diagnostics and tested. I observed the heating element to be badly warped and coated with old powder detergent from the pod. I tested amp draw to,the element during testing and found it be getting 7-9amps during wash and drying cycles of diagnostics. The unit operated as designed. Due to the element warping, I am ordering an element and scheduled return service for 04/02/24. No water leaks observed during service and I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, detergent and rinse aid use (water softener system). ; ordrng 1 W10703867 (Element)"

I found the floor of the oven had not been correctly installed and after correcting position and reinstalling, the issue was resolved. During final inspection and testing, I found the right grate, at the right rear section, had failed. There were no impact points and the issue appeared to be from a failed casting. Continued with testing in subtest 12 and the unit operated as designed. The customer advised that the unit wont complete spin intermittently. They advised that it wont spin out the clothing, then theyll use it again and it will operate as designed. Previous tech replaced the main control and I found the customer has a water softener system and are using pods as detergents. I explained what effects the softener system has on the washer and dishwasher in regards to detergents and made recommendations for detergent use. I advised the customer that I believe the unit is detecting an off balanced load and is taking longer to balance the load before is goes into a full spin. The customer advised theyve never used the detergent dispenser and when I opened the dispenser, it was covered in mold. Also found mold inside the drawer. I recommends the customer switch detergent and made recommendations for use and care. I am ordering the dispenser assembly and scheduled return service for 04/02/24. "Arrived on site to test unit for clicking noise and unit not level. Leveled unit and tested, no error codes present, customer stated units control board would click for a couple of minutes and then stop at the beginning of a cycle. Replaced control board as precautionary and tested, unit is running as designed, job complete."

Arrived on site to follow up on range that was popping breaker when used. Spoke with builder and discussed GFCI nuisance issues. Builder had received info from whirlpool as well. Retested the range and found it is indeed popping the breaker at < 3 amps. Builder advised to use updated or non GFCI breakers to resolve. Builder will resolve with breakers. CAll complete.
