I removed and replaced the compressor, service port and dye drier, after confirming the service stub on the compressor was oily and the source of refrigerant loss. I vacuumed the system and then monitored. Seeing no loss of vacuum, I charged the unit with the MFG calculated refrigerant charge and tested. Cooling resumed as expected. No leaks observed during service."

"Arrived on site to inspect microwave fan not working. Upon further inspection, the customer advised the unit is not venting properly and have grease on the cabinets above the unit. I found the vent filter at the bottom of the unit is dirty and not allowing good airflow (photo). I tested the units blower and found the damper opening and closing when on and off. Also found a large amount of airflow was coming out of the front top vent as well. I removed the vent cover in the cabinets above and found the vent not properly sealed at the damper (photo). I sealed the gapping with foil tape (photo) and re#installed the vent cover and sealed it as well. Retested and unit is operating as designed. Customer cleaned the vent filter and was allowing it to air dry before re-installing it. Job completed."

Inspected new evaporator plate and all the welds were rough. Decided to sand and buff old evaporator plate with 240 grit sandpaper and a buffing wheel with wax to smooth weld spot and remove calcium build up. Evaporator plate is now smooth. Replaced control board and tested unit. Unit is now making ideal sheets of ice. Ice sheets now releasing off evap as designed. No leaks detected, job complete."

I then averaged the highest temps and the lowest temperatures and found that it was 347.5?F I calibrated the unit and tested the unit and found the temps at 359.5?F the unit will have better performance now.

She showed me a video of this noise the unit was making, and Advised that she has not touched it since it started acting up again. I did confirm what sounded like the cam rubbing against itself underneath. I ran the unit through an auto test and found the unit working and operating as designed without replicating the sound.
