"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator that was not cooling in the RC. Examined and verified high temps in RC, and colder temp in freezer. Found no cold air coming into RC with damper open. Removed evap cover and found evap was covered with ice, down to the sides of the evap casing as well. I tested the defrost system and verified unit will turn on a forced defrost. I reset the unit and set defrost to static / standard. Melted down all the ice buildup in freezer. Advised customer if issue returns we will need to replace the FC harness and control.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is frosting up in the freezer section over the evaporator coils. Inspected unit and work area. Ran the unit through the defrost circuit test and found the defrost thermistor shorted, indicating a good defrost thermistor. Gained access to the control and checked resistance through the heater. Found 30 ohms of resistance through the heater, indicating a good heater. Took an amp draw off of the heater wire after forcing it through defrost and found registering 3.7 to 3.8 A under load. found the evaporator fan and refrigerator and freezer thermistors within range. Spoke to SW, and was advised that based on all these checks the issue would most likely be with the main control.

Went to set a bake cycle and found the unit was set up in Celsius not Fahrenheit. Switch the unit over to Fahrenheit temperature units and tested the unit. From the unit heat up two or 350?F big and the unit is working as designed. Call complete."

Upon further inspection, I found the RC control panel displays flashing 888 and the unit is cool but not at set temp. Customer advised they recently had lightening strike maybe 50 yards from the home during recent storms. I cycled power to the unit and attempted to place the unit is program mode, but it failed each attempt. I found the compressor would not come on each time I cycled power. "KRSC703HPS04 Contacted the MFG tech assist, Chris SR# 7736366440. During inspection for a noise complaint and vibration, the customer told me they found a slight amount of moisture within the FC compartment, at the bottom near the door opening. I found the mullion had a twist to the metal section, starting approximately 12 up from the bottom and getting worse as it went down. With a light placed in the FC compartment, light was visible at the affected corner area. Even pressing firmly on the door did not completely seal the area and it immediately returned to the amount shown in the pictures when released. The cabinet is correctly set and looking from the side of the unit, both doors are perfectly in plane with each other, ruling out cabinet twist, which can cause similar conditions. The tech line was unable to receive images at the time of call and I manually uploaded the images via the MFG website and called back, discussing with tech Austin.

"WRS325SDHZ01 Arrived to inspect no ice. FC temperature was -5?F and RC was 36?. I found the ice maker within the unit was an after market and it had failed internally, having two electrical failure points, viably within the gear head assembly. I verified valve actuation, but there was a mass of ice within the fill tube and it will need to be cleared. Further inspection revealed the RC door, bottom right corner had shipping debris within it and it was incorrectly adjusted as well. The debris and position allowed excessive room airflow to circulate through the unit, likely the reason for the now second, ice maker failure. All issues with the door and cabinet alignment were corrected, returning tech may need to remove ice from ice maker fill tube. Office to contact the customer to arrange return service. No leaks observed during service."

Arrived onsite for a dryer that is tripping the breaker as soon as it is plugged in. I found the dryer neutral wire connected to chassis ground with the power cord ground causing the issue. I moved the neutral wire to the neutral lug on the terminal block and tested the dryer. The unit no longer trips the breaker and it is heating and tumbling as designed. After leaving the job I talked with the previous tech and he thinks he didnt connect the sensor bar harness. I let CS know and called the customer letting her know and what would happen if the harness wasnt connected and explained that she could use it in time dry until we get back to correct it.
