"Arrived on site for a dishwasher not draining and having a burn smell. On arrival he tub was full of water. I held cancel to put it on a manual drain. I found a faint hum from the drain pump, but the unit wasnt draining. I then checked voltage going to the drain pump and found a good 120VAC. This indicates a faulty drain pump. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found stored error codes F8E2 for drain motor not running, F10E1 for dispenser electrical problem, and F6E2 for fill valve electrical problem. I then ran a diagnostics cycle and found the unit will fill until it overflows, the dispenser was not working, and the drain did not function. I gained access to the control and found the fan leaking and water got into the control area. Upon further inspection I found a burnout on the harness. In order to repair the unit it will need a new drain, dispenser, float switch, vent, and harness.

I removed the failed gear case and associated parts and installed the replacement, noting the failed one was quite stiff when rotating by hand. I removed and replaced the suspension and recalibrated the unit. I tested within service test mode and the unit operated as designed. No leaks served during service."

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator with the ice maker not working, the gaskets being bad, and the unit not cooling properly. I checked temps and found the FC at 30?F and the RC at 50?F. Upon further inspection I found both gaskets torn and condensation around the FC door. I found the RC so badly warped and torn that it was not sealing properly and creating large gaps. I also found the FC fan not running. In order to repair the unit it will need a new FC fan motor and both gaskets. I found all three parts unavailable. I informed the customer on my findings.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine leaking. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found stored error codes F8E1 for no water detected, F5E2 for door lock error, and F1E2 for MCU multiple resets. I cleared the error codes, I then activated the valves and found the unit aggressively leaking from the bottom. I gained access to the bottom and found the counter weight had broken off and ripped off a large piece of the tub with it. This was allowing the water to drain directly out of the basket onto the floor

Arrived onsite for front right and front left burners not heating properly. Elements are functioning however temperature regulations are the issue. Switches will need to be replaced. Arrived onsite for a cooktop with the back trim not setting flush on the bottom. I found the pro style cooktop not installed correctly. The side and rear trim pieces were holding the entire weight of the cooktop. I talked to the builder over the customers phone and explained what need to be done. I showed the customer in the installation manual that a solid shelf needs to be installed under the cooktop 7 1/4 below the granite counter top. I also showed Ms that a notch needs to be cut in the shelf to allow the gas line to move from front to rear when the cooktop is pulled forward or pushed back. Ms marked all these notes in the installation manual and will show the builder. The shelf needs to get finished then we will need to return and correct the trim pieces. I also found some scratches on the control panel but explained to Ms that the unit is more than 30 days old and advised to call KitchenAid for assistance to get it replaced and if they agree to call our office. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found no stored error codes. I manually activated each component and found they all ran as designed. I then ran a diagnostics cycle and found it ran through as designed. However, on the spin ramp up the tub excessively bounced around. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator not cooling properly. Upon arrival the customer stated that the RC seemed to be losing temp but the FC was fine. They left the unit off for several hours to try and thaw any ice that may have built up and then the unit seemed to work for a while. Shortly after it started having cooling issues again. I checked temps and found the FC at -2?F (set to -6?F) and the RC at 47?F. Upon further inspection I found some frost/ice build up on the evap cover. I then put the unit into diagnostics mode and found both heaters and airflow components running as designed. I gained access to the back of the unit and ohmd out all thermistors. I found the FC read 34k, the FC evap read 29.6k, the RC read 6.57k, and the RC evap read 6.74k. These were all roughly accurate at the time of reading. This indicates a possible faulty control. Arrived onsite for refrigerator with ice buildup in rc. Upon inspection I found the At the drain pan was downed up and would not let the water drain properly causing ice buildup and I also found that the bi-metal was not in the right spot so I corrected this after removal of the ice. I then found that the drain tube was clogged so I cleared it and sealed it up to prevent air leaks. I am ordering 1x drain pan and shims. Upon further inspection I found that the right side door gasket was torn and lest warm air into the rc.

Arrived on site for a washing machine not going into spin. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found stored error codes F7E1 for basket speed fault and F0E2 for oversuds. I then manually activated spin and agitate. I could hear the motor hum but not spin nor agitate. I gained access to the bottom and found a bad cap. I replaced the cap and then tested the unit again. MG. Arrived on site for not cooling. Found compressor and fans running. Removed evaporator and confirmed improper frost pattern. Checked with UV light but was unable to confirm any leaks. Checked pressures and found system has a restriction. Hooked up vacuum pump and was able to removed restriction. Ran a deep vacuum a charged with 3.7 oz. Evaporator developing good frost pattern and unit is cooling down pressures at 0 and 125. Call complete.

I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found stored error codes F8E1 for long fill, F3E2 for water temp fault, F7E8 for motor over temp, and F0E4 for spin limit by water temp. I cleared the error codes. I then ran a diagnostics cycle and found on step 4 the detergent valve was not working. I then manually activated the cold and hot and found neither working. I checked water at the wall and found it good. This indicates a faulty valve. I replaced the valve and then test the unit. The unit is now working as designed. No leaks observed at the time of service. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator with moisture inside. Upon further inspection, I found water puddles in the RC section. I removed the FC evap cover and found when the evaporator goes into defrost mode, the water is leaking down the air chute into the RC section. Using some permagum, I sealed the chute where the evap,cover sits and leveled the unit with a slight tilt back at the front. Removed the water and observed and found no more water dripping from the air chute. I found gaps in the liner and sealed them with manufacturer approved silicone. No water leaks observed at the end of service, job completed."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine not operating correctly. Upon arrival the customer stated the unit will not start. When they press start it will flash lock and then do nothing. I tested the unit and found the unit will lock and unlock after pressing start. It will then do nothing. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found stored error codes F5E1 for lid switch fault, F0E3 for overload, and F2E1 for stuck button. I cleared the error codes. I then manually activated each load and found they worked as designed. I toggled the lid lock and found it working properly. I then ran a diagnostics cycle and found on step 11 when the lid is supposed to lock the cycle stopped and would not advance. I found again the lid locked and unlocked. I went to check the error codes again and found it threw F5E1. I cleared the error code. Per the tech sheet I gained access to the control and checked voltage at the lid lock. I found it good indicating a bad lid lock. However, due to the lid lock working with manual activation and not in an actual cycle it points to a possible control issue. Due to this I gave the customer one /// with just the lid lock and one with both the lock and control. Just the lid lock came to ///113.98, and the lid lock + control came to ///345.83. The labor on either will be ///174.75. The customer declined. I collected the service fee of ////// + tax in full on CC. Call complete."

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Due to ice maker not making ice and finding several issues with the ice maker housing, ice maker, ice bin door, I removed and replaced the ice maker, ice maker housing adaptor, adaptor gaskets, housing fascia, fill tube heater and ice bin door. Also, due to the RC evap drip pan bowing, I installed clips and tightened the evaporator to the back wall, repositioned the defrost thermistor and secured it with foil tape and ziptie, sealed off the gap between the evap housing and back wall with permagum and leveled the pan with shims. Pulled the unit out and checked the drain tube and found it clogged. Cleared the debris and re-installed the tube and sealed it with silicone. Tested the unit and it is operating as designed. Did not replace the right RC door gasket as the door liner was peeling away from the door frame. I advised the customer that the door gasket is good for now, but should it become more worn and they see moisture building up inside the RC section, the door will need to be replaced. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

Arrived on site for a refrigerator that has a door that is not closing. Inspected unit and work area. Confirmed customers complaint and found the issue with the door was the gasket had separated from the door. Realigned the gasket and add sure the slides were working properly. Reassembled the unit and the unit began to close the door and operate as designed. Talked on the gasket just didnt ensure this will not happen again. Call complete.

"Arrived on site for a dryer that is not drying clothes and is flashing an AF error code. Inspected unit and work area. Confirmed customers complaint and the customer advised that he already knew the issue was with airflow and is try to use a vacuum on the backside of the wall and the leaf blower to blow out any kind of debris inside of the vent. He just wanted to have it checked to make sure that it wasnt a fault of the dryer. Ran a vent test kit on the unit with the dryer vent on and found poor circulation for all dryers. When that hose was removed from the dryer, the unit showed good airflow for all dryers. I did advise the customer that his attempt did not fix his airflow issue and that he will need a vent cleaning company to fix his airflow issue. Call complete."

Arrived on site for vent hood light not working. I inspected the unit and work area. I swapped a working bulb into the one not working and found the same it still not coming on. I gained access to the socket assembly and found the power line was not seated into the socket. I secured the line to the socket and reassembled the unit. I retested it and found theblights working as designed. Job complete.
