"Arrived on site to diagnose noisy washer. On arrival customer informed me that the unit was banging pretty hard on a recent load of sheets /mattress pad. I tested the unit and found all mechanical components and suspension good. I checked the level and found the level was quite a bit off. I leveled the unit and ran a high speed spin and could not duplicate any failures. Advised the pad likely absorbed a ton of water, which will cause it to go off balance compared to sheets and to balance accordingly. Also found a bolt matching the motor bolts under the unit, but found no missing bolts on the unit. Unit now working as designed and balance. No parts used."

"Arrived on site to follow up on microwave that was not powering on. On arrival I replaced both interlocks due to 2 bad switches. Once new interlocks were in, found the board was sending 120, but there was an issue with the neutral. I replaced the filter board / filter board fuse and control. Retested and found unit now powers on and heats as designed. Root cause of failure was a failed upper interlock switch, which back fed and took the other parts out. "Arrived on site to diagnose freezer making noise at random when running. Customer showed me a video of the noise which sounded like ice on fan blades. I removed the cover and found no ice near the fans and all noises normal. I also found the unit didn't have but a couple of items in it, which can also cause the unit to be constantly running. Advised to try and capture video and check if the noise dissipates / get louder when the door is open. Customer will follow up if noise returns or gets louder once the unit is loaded. On arrival I found customer had some sheets in there with a stopped cycle that still had a good level of dampness. I ran the unit and it stopped after about 4 minutes and timer never moved. I called tech line and inquired about what factors cause a sensor cycle to stop. Recommended repair is to replace the moisture sensor harness, then run and test at the control. If control is stopping while moisture reading is still active, replace control and retest. Return visit set for 8/23. "Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher leaking water. Upon further inspection, I found the unit uninstalled and sitting in the kitchen area near to where it should be installed and all hoses disconnected (photo). I moved the unit over to the sink area and connected the water line and plugged the unit in and placed the drain hose into the sink and placed the unit in diagnostics showing no error codes. Continued with testing and once the unit filled with water and the spray arms began to spray the water, I found water leaking from the bottom right side front corner where the tub side joins the bottom panel (photos). The tub is not sealed in this area. I am ordering the tub, heating element and CNOTE-2HR JOB and office to schedule return service. I will return with all prescreened parts. Unit hoses were disconnected and unplugged and moved back to where I found it. Returning tech to replace the tub, sump assembly and install new element and remove model/serial placard and transfer it to new tub. All water cleaned up at end of service. Inspected unit found no obstructions to the hinge or spring causing more resistance. Tested door mechanism, when pulled down the door stays in place. Unit is designed to make sure the door stays in the location it was opened . Tested all angles door does not shut on its own or drop down. Stated to builder that since the unit is new the springs will be a little more stronger than what the home owner is used to due to manufacturer future proofing the unit. Using my multimeter, I placed my thermal couple in the center of the middle rack and tested the unit on Bake at 350 degrees. At preheat, my meter was reading 388 degrees, which is normal according to,the owners manual and the preheat temps will get higher than the setting to offset temps when opening the door and allowing the unit to get back to preheat temps faster. Gained access to evaporator coil and found ice build up on top of the evap fan shroud. Ran ice maker cycle and found water is leaking from the funnel, down the back wall and getting frozen on top of the shroud, building ice and eventually making the fan blade make contact creating a loud noise. Added a full tube extension (WPW10496649) from truck stock to the end of the existing fill tube, used silicone to seal around the fill tube contacting the back liner. Ran an ice maker cycle, fill tube leak has been eliminated. Removed all the ice on the fan shroud, evaporator fan is running loud. Replaced evaporator fan motor (WP2315549) and tested unit, all components are now properly functioning and unit is running as designed, no leaks detected, job complete."

Client stated that when last tech arrived he installed part and left only and next day evaporator froze up again. Client also stated door would open sometimes on its own. Further inspection found thermistor and heater were reading correct voltages and amp draw, per service documentation. Found that the front bottom frame was bowing out causing a weak suction on the door causing door not closing correctly. After fixing the door/frame issues, the door is closing as designed. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnose parts. Inspected unit and work area. I gained access to the back and removed the lower harness pressure hose from the upper harness pressure hose. I gained access to the control and blew through the pressure hose on the upper furnace. I found it clear. I blew through the pressure hose on the lower harness, and found that I could not blow through the hose. I gained access to the lower harness pressure hose, and found that as it came through the washer top, the pressure hose turns to the left to go down to the tub. Where that turn is underneath the top, I found the pressure hose had collapsed on itself. I tried to straighten out the pressure hose, but found the tube cracked. I am re-ordering the lower harness and rescheduled the customer to 8/16. No parts were installed.; ordrng 1 W11417071 (Lower harness)"

"Arrived on site to inspect dishwasher not draining. Upon further inspection, I found no water in the bottom of the tub. Placed the unit in diagnostics showing error codes F9E1 & F9E2-drain pump failures and also found the control panel fascia peeling off. I cleared the codes and continued with testing and found the motor intermittently operating but unit drained. I advised the customer of my findings and explained operations. I am ordering the control panel and UI and will return with all prescreened parts. Scheduled return service for 08/21/24. Returning tech to replace the sump assembly, control panel and UI. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not cooling properly. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit does cool, but it doesnt seem to cool as well as it used to. He advised that the icemaker does not work and that they have a torn gasket on the refrigerator. I did confirm the torn gasket and took temperatures of the refrigerator and freezer sections. I found the unit at 41?F in the refrigerator and 4? temperature in the freezer section. I found this at temperatures of the unit were at 5?F in the freezer section and 37?F in the refrigerator section. I found no evidence of a defrost issue within the unit and checked underneath the unit. I did find lint buildup on the condenser, but it did not seem sick enough to cause an air flow issue underneath. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Austin SR# 7739706767. He advised that based on my temperatures, the unit would be running and operating as designed. He did state that the customer being at 5?F in the freezer may cause intermittent issues with consistent temperatures in the refrigerator section but advised that with the temperatures being within 5? of the preset temperatures and continuing to drop, there would be no issue with the cooling aspect of this unit. I checked the icemaker and found that the icemaker bell arm would not lift up or close, indicating a failed issue within the icemaker. Ordering both the icemaker and the door gasket and the office will need to contact the customer about a return date due to limited parts availability. "Arrived on site to inspect microwave not venting properly. Upon further inspection, I tested the unit fan and found a lot of air being blown out at the top front vent area. When I attempted to remove the unit from the wall, I found the damper frame was wedged in the vent cover above the unit. I removed the vent cover and found the damper door badly damaged and not opening properly to allow the air to fully vent. Also found the damper door hitting the vent cover preventing it from being able to open fully. I advised the customer of my findings. I removed and replaced the damper and adjusted the vent cover and retested. Unit is operating as designed. Job completed. W10843943"

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. Per,previous techs diagnosis, I removed and replaced the compressor, access valve and uv dye drier. I evacuated the system upon arrival and cleared the system with nitrogen. Removed and replaced the mentioned parts then vacuumed the system down to -30/0 psi. Installed 53g of R600 refrigerant and allowed system to equalize. Checked welds for any leaks and found none. Tested the unit and it is operating as designed. I recommended the customer allow the unit to cool for 24 hours before placing items back inside. No water leaks observed during service, job completed. W11506635, WPW10143759, W11557425"

"Arrived on site for a dryer that is intermittently, not drying clothes. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit will dry normal clothes just fine, but when they are running towels, sheets, or comforters, certain items will dry, but other items are still left damp. They advise that sometimes theyre having to run the unit multiple times in order to dry all of the clothes. I asked the customer what kind of settings they typically use on the dryer and they advise that they typically use the normal regular or heavy duty normal for drying. I did explain to the customer that mixed loads, light loads, and bulky loads, and sometimes cause this issue due to the unit running off of the moisture sensor bar. I advised that the moisture sensor will need to pick up on wet clothing in order for the dryer to continue running. I told her that when anything dry starts to rub up against the moisture sensor, it can prematurely, shut the unit down, thinking that the clothes are dry. I advise the whirlpool recommends using a timed dry cycle on those types of loads to ensure all clothes are fully dry. The unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete. No parts were installed."

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator with possible dead fan and ice in freezer. I examined unit and found evap completely encased in frost due to not defrosting. Checked heater and found unit entered forced defrost on command. I checked the defrost thermistor and found it was clipped onto the heat shrink on the copper / steel line. I removed the clip and zip tied the thermistor to the evap suction line. Advised on proper defrost procedure. All fans are working fine at time of service, and I couldn't find any other failures with the defrost system. No parts needed. Repair completed."

Arrived on site to diagnose dishwasher not running. Customer said power seems to blink on and off. Tested unit and could not get display to stay one due to a short in the control. "Arrived to inspect refrigerator frosting up in freezer compartment. Upon further inspection, I found that the gasket was not making proper contact on the inner side leaving a gap extending about 12 inches long. I formed and shaped the gasket by heating and made a slight adjustment to the top hinge of the fc door allowing the gasket to make a good seal now. No part used and no water leaks observed during service."

"Arrived on site to test unit for not heating. Upon arrival customer stated they heard a loud pop and spark and unit stopped heating. Verified that unit is not heating with magic lights diagnostic tool, removed unit from cavity and inspected internals. Found burnt diode and wires on the transformer burned damaging the capacitor. Replaced capacitor (WPW10574736), magnetron (W10754299), diode (W11256462), and transformer (W11545871). Tested unit, unit is now heating and is running as designed, job complete."

"Arrived on site to test unit for not cooling and no ice. Upon arrival customer stated FC is not as cold as it used to be and there is no ice being made. When exposing the evaporator found the unit was in a defrost cycle so no frost pattern was on the evaporator. Evaporator fan engages properly and heater is also engaging. After defrost cycle was complete, compressor kicked on. After 15 minutes no frost has developed on the evaporator and compressor is running extremely hot. Contacted service thread, per service thread unit has a sealed system issue. Will need to order parts pertaining to that issue. Turned unit off to prevent further damage. Unit is a r600a. "Arrived on site to test unit for oven not igniting. Upon arrival customer stated all cooktop burners work but oven wont ignite and theres a gas smell after. Verified issue, all cooktop burners ignite properly, broil ignites properly, when turning on bake cycle a spark is produced but works intermittently. Sometimes take 4-5 sparks before ignition or there is not ignition at all and gas to the burner tube shuts off. When there is no ignition there is a strong gas smell due to the unburned gas. Noticed spark igniter is positioned too far away from the burner tube, after repositioning it closer to the burner tube and testing unit, bake burner tube now ignites during the first spark. Unit is now running as designed, no leaks detected, no parts installed, job complete."

Arrived onsite for washer walking during spin cycle. On inspection found that tub was sitting a little low. I pushed on the tub and it hit the ground. Also saw that basket was not level. Installed new suspension and leveled the basket. Tested unit diagnostic mode and in consumer mode. The washer is operating as design and no water leaks detected during service. W11400156
