I followed the ignition wire from the igniter to the ignition module and discovered a severe cut, all the way to the conductor, which was allowing spark to escape to the chassis. Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice and ice cream is soft. The customer stated that after the last tech left the icemaker made ice for about 3-4 days and stopped then the cooling in the FC just got worse. I found the FC at 18 degrees on arrival. The RC was at 37 degrees. I found the control showing 18 for the FC. I tested the evaporator thermistors and the first evaporator thermistor was registering -22 degrees and the second evaporator thermistor was registering 5 degrees. The thermistor is out or range. I tested the FC evaporator fan and found the temp only dropping 1 degree and not much air movement. I removed the evaporator cover and found the coil frosted up. I ran forced defrost and found 123VAC leaving the control to the defrost circuit but the heater never energized. I found an open thermal fuse in the harness. I defrosted the coil and replaced the harness. Call complete.

I verified the electrical connection was fully seated at the outlet and moved it to the top receptacle, to prevent accidental contact with items in the cabinet. "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator leaking water. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that when dispensing water, the unit leaks water at the bottom left hinge of the left FC door. I removed the kickplate and tested the dispenser and found water leaking from inside the door from the dispenser tubing. Also the ice maker recently stopped working. When I tested the ice maker, I had the FC door open and the door switched closed and the ice maker failed to harvest. When I began to close the door, the ice maker began to harvest. Due to recent repairs on the harness at the left hinge, its possible that the wiring is beginning to separate. I was able to get the ice maker to go through a full harvest and water dispensed into the tray. If it doesnt work, they will purchase a new unit. Customer placed a sign on the water dispenser to remind them not to use the dispenser. Job completed."

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice and the ice cream is a little soft. I checked the FC temp and found it at 16 degrees. I found it cycling between 12-20 degrees keeping the harvest temperature borderline. I adjusted the thermostat to keep the freezer at 0 degrees and as soon as it was at 10 degrees the icemaker went into a harvest and filled with water. I went over with the customer how to adjust the controls. The unit is working as designed. Call complete.
