On arrival verified complaint of noise. On inspection found a cyclic thud sound. Found a button in between felt and plastic drum slide causing a thud sound every time he IHit the space between the plastic slides. Removed button and found noise went away. Job complete no parts installed.

"Arrived on site to diagnose middle burner that is taking longer to light and only has a partial flame. Removed burner and found it full of grease. Disassembled burner and cleaned it out. Tested and found spark is struggling to reach the burner cap and arcing to the burner head. I scraped a surface for the spark to jump to and it helped some, but no adjustments made the burner any easier to light. Replaced burner head. Unit lights slightly easier, but still requires a couple tries to light which I can not improve on. Unit working and is light able. Parts used W11435660."

"Arrived on site for a wash machine that is not starting a cycle. Inspected unit and work area. I turned on the washer and found the lights dim. I went to start the unit and found the lights completely fade out and not do anything. I gained access to the control, and found when I pushed on the wire connector, the lights came back on. Due to having replaced the user interface on the previous trip, I replaced the control. I tested the unit and found the unit working and operating as designed. The customer has several loads of laundry to run so I advise the customer that I would call him back at the end of the day to make sure that the unit is working properly. I called back after several hours and the customer stated that the unit was working and she was on her third load. Call complete. W11626074."

"KUIX535HPS01 Arrived to inspect insufficient ice production. The unit was in the middle of production upon arrival and there was translucent in appearance, cubes in the bin, and of minimal amount. Upon completion of the slab and into harvest, the water filled to the correct level with adequate flow, but the slab had difficulties releasing, to the point much of it melted prior to release. The front of the evaporator plate had excessive solids built up and there were a few welds that had excessive flashing, to the right side. I removed the weld debris and cleaned off the solids buildup and tested. I advised the customer with cleaning of the unit and the recommended product. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service."

"WRT311FZDZ02 Arrived to inspect temperature variance. I found the FC at -4 and the RC at 31, similar to the last service. Thermography showed the sealed system working as designed with the expected high side heat signatures and low side, as well. Testing the existing thermistor, I found it around 1 degree from actual temperature within a water bath test and elected to replace with a new one that was .3 degrees from actual, verifying correct placement. I replaced the control and advised the customer. No water connections to unit."

Arrived onsite and discussed ongoing tripping with the range during normal bake. Advised customer on nuisance tripping literature. Ascertained that the priming had not been long enough or hot enough to establish proper function. Customer priming elements 30 minute broil at 500f followed by 1hr bake at 500f.

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator no cool. Upon further inspection, the customer advised the unit temps were off as they had the RC set at 35 and their thermometer was reading 43. I explained how the temp settings operate and how they will fluctuate from shelf to shelf inside the fresh foods section, as well as, in the freezer section. When I inspected the fresh foods section (RC), I found the thermometer reading was at 35 degrees on the 2nd shelf. When I checked the freezer (FC) thermometer it was reading -5 degrees and I heard the ice maker harvest and fill with water. I set the temps back to the recommended 0/37 degrees. I made recommendations for use and care. Unit is operating as designed and no water leaks observed during service, job completed. No parts installed"

Arrived on site to diagnose dishwasher with loose door handle. I tested the handle and saw a gap behind it. Removed handle and found the retaining nut was starting back out and needed to be tightened. Tightened handle nut and secured handle. Unit working as designed. No parts needed.

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not cooling. Inspected unit and work area. I did confirm the customers complaint and found the compressor not running. I came back to the compressor and found the compressor attempt to kick on and kick off within 20 seconds. I put a new start device on it and found the same issue. I replaced the compressor, dryer, and access valve. I charged the unit up with nitrogen and found a leak between the Yoder loop and condenser from the factory weld. I fixed the weld and charge the unit up with nitrogen again. I found pressure hold for 20 minutes. I vacuumed down the unit to -31 psi and found pressures hold again. I charged the unit up with 45 g of R600 refrigerant and tested the unit. I found the unit cooling and operating as designed. Call complete. WPW10143759, W11506635, and W11547313."

Arrived one for dishwasher panel with rust. On inspection found rust around the vent. Removed the panel and installed the new panel. Arrived onsite for washer make a noise. On inspection I ran the unit in diagnostics cycle and the right side of the tub was hitting the side. I set the feet to stop the washer from hitting the side. The washer is operating as designed and no water leaks detected during service. No parts installed.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making noises during the drain and spin portion of the cycle. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that she does not know exactly whats happening, but that during the spin and drain, it makes a loud, grinding noise that you can hear outside. I ran the unit through an auto test and confirmed the sound when the unit was trying to slow down. I gained access underneath and found the cam, completely stripped due to overloading. "Arrived on site for a washing machine that wont start a cycle. Inspected unit and work area. The customer explained that the unit will intermittently work and not work but that they are having a hard time getting the unit to start a cycle. I ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. I ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. I attempted to start a cycle 10 separate times and found the unit start every single time. I had the customer explain how they were starting the cycle and he advised that his wife is generally the one who does it, but he was unsure as to how she attempts to start the cycle. I called Whirlpool tech line and spoke to Butch SR# 7739553736. He advised that this model specifically has various sensitive controls where you need to press the start button and hold it until all the lights go across. He said that since I have not been able to replicate the issue, the problem would have to be with the way the customer is trying to start the unit. He advised to make no repairs at this time and to instruct the customer on how to start the cycle. I informed the husband on how to do that and the unit is working and operating as designed. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not cooling properly. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the refrigerator section seems to be somewhat cooling now, but it took three days for the unit to actually cool. He advised that his freezer section will not freeze items and that it took four days for a bottle of ice water to freeze. I checked the door gaskets and found the door gaskets were sealing properly. I did find gaps in the liner on both the refrigerator and freezer sections. I took temperature of the freezer section and found it at 30?F and dropped to 27?F within 15 minutes. I gained access to the compressor and took an amp draw off the compressor. I found the compressor hot to touch and pulling .8 A, I checked the suction tube from the condenser and found minimal heat coming from the condenser side indicating an inefficient compressor. Arrived on site for a refrigerator. That is not making ice. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the issue is not with the unit making ice but with the unit not dispensing ice. He stated that he can hear the motor turning but the ice wont fall out. I tested the unit and did find a few cubes dropping but the Dispenser motor having a hard time pushing through the ice. I inspected the ice container and found pieces of melted plastic inside the ice container impeding the blades to continue to turn. Ordering the ice container and rescheduled the customer to 7/30. "Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not making ice. Inspected unit and work area. Upon entry, I found the icemaker turned off. I turn on the icemaker and found the icemaker harvest and fill as designed. The customer also complained about her temperatures because she says her food is spoiling. She said she has a temperature thermometer in the refrigerator and it has shown the unit to be between 44?F to 52?F. I took temperatures of the refrigerator and freezer and found he refrigerator at 37?F and drop down to 36?F. I took a temperature of the freezer and found it at 6?F. I found no evidence of a defrost issue in the unit. I checked the refrigerator temperature versus the thermometer that was in the refrigerator and found the customers thermometer showing 44.4?F indicating the u it was higher temperature than it was. I showed the customer the discrepancies with the air temperatures and she advised that she still had things growing mold. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Drew SR# 7739555663. He advised that because of the temperature that we recorded, there would be either an issue with the customers temperature thermometer or an issue with where the thermometer was placed. He advised that the unit is working and operating as designed and to make no further repair. Call complete. No parts were installed. ; ;"

I tested the unit a few more times trying to start a different cycle selection, and found the unit spin, lock, fill, and agitate. I did advise the customer that because of not being able to replicate the issue, I would be unable to determine exactly what was the cause of their problem. I did advise the customer that generally when components fail, they just fail and wont start working all of a sudden. I did advise the customer to keep an eye on the unit and to take a video if possible if the issue persists. Call complete. No parts were installed."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that will not start a cycle. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised they had some storms in after the storms, the unit has never been able to start a load. We advise that itll start the cycle, but will cancel within a few minutes. I plugged it in and found the unit trying to drain out water. I canceled out the cycle and round the unit into diagnostics. I found the unit start to try to drain water out again and flash an F1 E1 (main control fault) and F2 E1 (stuck key) error codes. I went ahead and replaced the control and tested the unit. I found the unit working and operating as designed. Call complete. W11603810."

"Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed and ordered part. Due to the left FC door being damaged, I removed and replaced the FC door and tested operations. Unit is operating as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed. LW11258441"

"Arrived on site to inspect washer error codes. Upon further inspection, I found the unit unplugged with the lid locked. Plugged the unit in and the control panel failed to respond. Gained access to the main control and found the diagnostics LED not flashing or coming on. Following the tech sheet, I removed and replaced the main control and was able to get the unit into diagnostics. I found error codes F6E3-miscommunication between HMI & ACU and F7E7-motor not reaching target RPMs. Cleared the codes and attempted to calibrate the unit and it failed. I manually tested agitation and spin and the unit continued to fail. I tilted the unit back to find the rotor bolt lying on the floor and the rotor loose from the stator (motor). I reattached the bolt and retested and the unit continued to fail. Following the tech sheet for the F7E7 error, I tested voltage at the control and got 121V. I checked ohms to the motor at the J3 connector and got 8ohms from J3-1 to J3-2 and no reading from J3-1 to J3-3. Tilted the unit back and tested the stator at the harness and fund the motor is good as its showing 8-10ohms. I tested continuity in the harness from the J3 brown to the brown wire wt the stator and it was good. I tested the black wire and found it good. When I tested the red wire, I found no continuity reading. When I removed the rotor, I found gearcase oil on the underside of the rotor (photo). I advised the customer of my findings. I am ordering the gearcase, slider, clutch, stator, and lower harness and scheduled return service for 07/25/24. Unit left unplugged for safety and no water leaks observed during service. Returning tech to replace the gearcase, slider and lower main harness and calibrate/test before replacing the stator & clutch. "Arrived on site and replaced previously diagnosed compressor(W11686820), access port(W11506635) and UV filter drier(WPW10143759). System had a restriction and was unable to pinpoint. Ran nitrogen through system at 145psi and was able to push restriction out. Vacuumed system and held pressures for 20mins with no signs of leaks. Charged to specs with 51g of r600a. Unit working as designed. No leaks detected at this time. Job complete."
