Arrived onsite for a refrigerator to replace previous diagnosed parts. I found the sealed system completely charged and the compressor not pumping.I replaced the compressor and added a dye dryer. I vacuumed the system and found a leak at the factory solder joints on the new drier. I replaced the drier again and vacuumed the system. I charged the system with 4.7 ozs of R134A refrigerant and tested. The unit is working as designed. No water connections. Call complete.

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator with a no ice condition. I tested the icemaker and it would not go into a harvest with 120VAC supplying it. The icemaker needs to be replaced; ordrng 1 W11284458 (ICEMAKER)

Arrived onsite for a refrigerator not making ice. Mr stated it hasnt made ice since the last repair and the ice cream in the FC has been softer than normal but everything else in the FC has been frozen and the RC cools fine. I tested temps and found the RC at 37 degrees and the FC was at 18 degrees. I tested the thermistors and fans. The fans were working as designed but there was not a lot of air movement with the FC fan. I found the FC thermistor reading 18 degrees and the FC evaporator thermistor reading 16 degrees. I exposed the evaporator and found the fins pushed over across the top and it frosted over across the top but the evaporator had a good frost pattern. I found the FC thermistor bracket loose. I removed the metal bracket and attached it with foil tape and zip tied it on the evaporator. I removed the frost and straightened out the fins. I found the vent on the side of the refrigerator for the condenser exhaust and the condenser itself clogged up with dog hair. I cleaned the vent and the condenser. I tested the unit and the temp dropped 40 degrees in 30 minutes and was still dropping. I advised the customer to get a thermometer and put it in the FC so he could monitor actual temp. I explained that it should be making ice by morning and if it wasnt to call the office and tell us what the temp was so we would know if there is a SS issue or something else. office needs to make contact with the customer and get an update. If its making ice close the call. If its not making ice get the temp of the FC from the customer and contact PR.; O-emld tckt

Arrived on site for dryer not advancing to cycle but still heating as designed. Upon arrival confirm complaint Ive been verify that unit had a stable 240 V connection and that there were no voltage drops from outlet when unit was turned on and running. Also verify that all thermostats fuses and limiters working within manufacture specs along with the heating element. I didnt found that no matter what setting the dryer was done to it would continuously run without stopping or advancing the timer. I then reassembled and tested unit with a new timer on multiple settings and found that unit could cycle in advance and shut off as designed with no further failures. Inform customer that unit is ready for use

"Arrived on site to diagnose refrigerator with frost in the freezer compartment. Examined unit and found the freezer was full of frost due to gasket not making contact with the liner. Rails were stiff due to lubricant melting out with the water. Found the drain was clogged as well and had likely caused the ice on the bottom to contact the drawer and keep it from closing. Replaced both rails and removed clog from drain. Verified door is now closing evenly and gasket is sealed on all sides.

On arrival I found no ice in the bucket, with unit set max ice. I checked Temps and found they were good. 38 in RC, and -2 in freezer. On inspection of the icemaker I saw a good amount of moisture and ice built up on the back wall by the IM adapter, indicating a leaking adapter, which falls under service pointer W10545058. I found the icebox fan seemed loud as well, and airflow felt low. I tested the IM for codes and found no codes, E0. I ran a cycle test and unit harvested. Tested fill and found no fill, fill tube was frozen. "Arrived on site. Inspected drain hose and found that it was located to far down stand pipe potentially causing siphone. Upon further inspection found during testing that one of the valves for the cold inlet valve assembly was clogged. R/R valve assembly and tested. Operational test good. "Arrived on site for a washing machine thats vibrating a lot. Inspected unit and work area. The husband advised that he was not here for the prior service but wanted to know why the shaking was considered normal. Did explain to the customer the functionality of this washer and the force suspension rods that hold up the basket. Did advise that it is normal operation to shake but asked if they were experiencing any issues with completing cycles. The customer advised that you they have not had that issue but wanted to be sure if the unit was working properly. Did not find any store to error codes and diagnostics. Ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. Ran the unit up to high speed span and did confirm with the customer that that was what he was checking about. Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not making ice. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the upper refrigerator icemaker does work but the freezer icemaker does not. Che

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not dispensing detergent. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that her load and go detergent dispenser will work most of the time but after 2 to 3 washes, will stop working for a load. If she pulls out the tray and pushes it back in, the unit will work again for another few cycles but she has noticed this due to most of her loads having suds on the top for water and other loads not having any suds at all. Ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored error codes. I tested the detergent pump in the component activation test and found it working. Ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Rob SR# 7734212224. He advised that with these detergent issues, if there was a problem, the unit would not dispense detergent at all not most of the time. He advised that the unit would be working as designed if we can make the detergent pump running diagnostics and the customer is saying soap in the washer most of the time. He had me go through various checks and found the customer was using the detergent at 10X concentration. Rob advised that that could be causing her issue as the machine is asking for the concentration level of the soap they are using. He advised that it is normal to have the detergent concentration on 4X concentration. He advised the unit is working as designed and to make no repairs at this time. Went over check findings with the customer. Call complete."

Arrived on site for a microwave that is flashing an F1E4 (mw Relay) error code. Inspected unit and work area. Disassembled the unit and checked the 4309 microwave relay and did not find it closed. Checked all door switches after unplugging the connectors and found all switches to be working properly. Reassembled the unit and tested it again. I still have the same error message. Open the door and found dent from within the unit causing the cabinet to bubble outward and not allow the door to close properly. See photo. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Andy SR# 7734214442. He had me run a couple checks on the unit and advised that this unit would be sent for review. He advised to make no repairs and to let the customer know that Whirlpool would be in contact with them. Call complete.

Arrived on site for a washing machine thats not locking the lid. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit will not start a load and will just show that its complete before it even begins to fill with water. Tested the unit and found the lid locking and unlocking but the basket not moving one the motor was supposed to turn. Found the unit just making a buzzing sound. Checked underneath the unit and found the capacitor had failed. Used to truck stock capacitor and tested the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. "Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making a lot of noise and shaking. Inspected unit and work area. Branding it through diagnostics and found an F0 E9 (off balance pause) error code. The customer advised that she was running a load of sheets and towels and the unit went off balance really bad and made all kinds of sounds. I did advise the customer that bulky items like sheets and towels, or mixed loading, can cause off-balance issues due to weight distribution around the basket. Went over loading techniques and ran the unit through an auto test. The unit ran as designed. The customer asked about several noises that she was hearing through the diagnostic process that I explained through. The unit is working as designed. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for an ice machine that is not draining water out of the ice bin. Inspected unit and work area. The customer had a video to show where the unit was cycling water to make ice but there was ice water at the bottom of the ice bin and the unit would not drain. Did advised customer of the issues with the external drain pump as stated before. Checked part numbers and found the external drain pump sent with me was the wrong part. Ordered correct part and the office will need to contact the customer about a return date due to an out of stock and PSP item.; ordrng 1 W10825875 (External drain pump)"
