"Arrived on site for a cooktop that wont cook with certain pots and pans. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the left front element will not work with all of her pans and that some pans do work with the cooktop but her smaller pans will not. Tested the unit and found the unit working with certain pans but not one specific pan. I tested the same pound that wouldnt work on another burner and found it would work on that other burner. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Kurt SR# 7735039531. He advised that because of how this unit works, they cannot guarantee pot and pans smaller than the ring they provide on the cooktop to work consistently. He advised that the rings were put on the cooktop to show the customer the size of the pan that they would need for the burner and that if the unit works with most of their pots and pans, there is no issue with the burner or cooktop itself. "Arrived on site and inspected dishwasher and found saved error code 7 -1, Explained to customer that if incoming water is below 79? control will turn off power to heating element but continue running cycles. This can be solved by completing a diagnostic cycle which returns power to heating element. Ran a diagnostic cycle and heating element is on at the end of it. Tested customers water at kitchen faucet and found it is 110? after 30 seconds. Recommended that they run the hot water here for at least 30 seconds preferably 45 before starting the dishwasher every load and they will likely never have this issue again.

"Arrived on site for KitchenAid range oven not heating. I inspected the unit and work area. I tested the bake and broil, I found both sparking but no gas is flowing through. I gained access to the dsi board. I tested the valve solenoid and found it with in range, I found the dsi board receiving good voltage. I install the new board and reassembled the unit. I tested it and found it reach 350 degrees with no issues.

Arrived on site for trash compactor ram hitting the top of the unit. I inspected the unit and work area. I found the ram hitting the top of the unit. I gained access to the switch and found it failed allowing the ram to move above the switch position. I installed a new switch. I held it down manually so the ram would come back down. I reassembled the unit and tested it a couple of times. It is now working as designed.

Upon further inspection, I tested the ice dispenser and ice began to dispense but then after approximately 5 seconds, it stopped but I could hear the motor turning. When I opened the left RC door, I found the ice bin had moved outward from the ice box and was not making connection with the auger yoke. I found one of the clips on the ice box housing was broken and the ice bin could not latch properly causing it to be pushed outward by the auger yoke. I advised the customer that the ice box is not a repairable part and made some recommendations on ways to secure the ice bin. Also found the ice chute gasket badly worn

Arrived onsite for LID IS BROKEN AGAIN. LEFT SIDE OF LID IS BREAKING FROM WHERE THE HINGE IS. Upon arrival found the lid has failed at the left hinge. Need to replace the lid. Replaced the lid.

"Arrived to inspect ice production issue. I tested the FC compartment and found it at 6?F and the RC was 38? The fans did not operate as expected. When entering service test mode, the compressor did not shut down as it should and manual activation of the ice box fan was fruitless. I found a wet spot on the back of the chassis and internally it was very damp, water beading throughout the RC chamber. I found the wiring for the crisper had failed and I repaired it. The unit resumed all functions and operated as designed. CX will defrost the unit for 48 hours. No leaks observed during service.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making noise during the cycle and will not complete cycles. Inspected unit and work area. Ran the unit three diagnostics and found an F7 E5 (shifter fault) error code. I ran the unit through an auto test and found the unit struggling during agitation and spin. Checked in at the unit and found the gear case drive shaft had dropped causing the failure and had caused damage to both belt and cam. Attempted to remove the agitator just to be sure we could fix the unit and found the agitator seized onto the gear case. I advise the customer of the issue and told her we would need to order a basket, tub, cam, hub assembly, filter, gearcase, agitator, and screws for repair. I did explain to the customer that the tub and basket would be covered under whirlpool extended warranty but the rest she would have to cover. The customer advised that she was hoping that this issue would be a small repair and did not want to move forward with such a big repair. She advised that she would just rather purchase yourself a new unit at this time.

Arrived on site to diagnose a microwave that isn't heating properly. Found capacitor shorted and replaced it. Tested unit and found all is functioning properly at this time.

I tested voltage at the same connector pins 1&3 and got 122V. The diagnostics LED was not on. Removed and replaced the main control and tested and unit is operating as designed. Upon further inspection, I immediately contacted techline to discuss previous repairs and recommendations per SR##7734766772. While on hold, I tested temps in the RC section. My readings were FC=8, RC=39 setting, RC:middle=42, Top=53, Bottom=44, Large pantry pan=36, Right crisper pan assembly=43, Left crisper pan assembly=42, Platter shelf=41. I placed the unit in diagnostics and checked the Maximum, Minimum, and Average temps as saved in the system. Those readings were MAX: test 23=RC=84, test 24=FC=87, test 25-pantry=86, test 26-ice box=87; MIN: test 33-RC=32, test 34-FC= -20, test 35-pantry=29, test 36-ice box= -13; AVE: test 28-RC=37, test 29-FC=4, test 30-pantry=35, test 31-ice box=7. I checked the thermistor readings in tests 1-5. My readings were Test 1: RC=41, 2: FC=9, 3: RC evap=16, 4: FC evap=14, 5: Pantry=35. Once techline answered, I spoke to Drew and advised of the complaint, the history on the unit and my findings. I provided the SR# to Drew and he requested the thermistor resistance readings from the control molex connector. I provided FC thermistor=16.47 kohms, RC thermistor=6.97 kohms. Drew advised that the readings were pretty close to perfect. Drew advised to not replace any parts as the unit is operating as designed. He advised to discuss with the customer the importance of keeping high moisture fruits and vegetables in produce bags in the crispers per Engineering Dept. Drew advised that if the customer did not agree with the recommendations to have them contact customer support and provide the SR# and allow customer support to handle the call. Drew advised the info provided today would be documented on the same SR#7734766772. I advised the customer of my findings and my conversation with the manufacturer and recommended they contact customer support with their concerns. No parts replaced today. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."

"Arrived to inspect continuing issues with flame height. I inspected the unit again and found that when flow requirement is increased from additional burners, the overall flame height of all burners is reduced. Having replaced the regulator already, the issue could have been from the supply or within the chassis. After further testing, found at some point during installation of the unit, the non-factory but acceptable due to installation, 90? elbow added in between the manifold entry and regulator had two pieces of debris within it. The debris was a wire nut and washer and was likely put in there during installation. I removed the debris and tested and the unit then operated as designed. I tested all gas connections that I interacted with and found no signs of any leaks upon completion of service. Operational test good."

Arrived on site to test unit for not heating past 135. Found oven mat covering entire bottom of oven preventing heat from circulating. Removed mat and tested to 359 with no issues. Advised customer to not place mat on bottom covering ports. No leaks detected. Job complete.

Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making a screeching sound when it goes into spend. Inspected unit and work area. Did confirm the customer complaint and checked underneath the unit. Found at the camp old had started working its way down and was not properly and securing the cam and causing the belt and cam to wear. Replaced both parts intestine the unit. The unit began to work and operate as designed. Call complete.

Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not washing clothes well. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the issue with the washer is that the washer does not fill high enough and thus does not submerge all of her clothes in the washer. She advised that she does notice that unit will complete each cycle but shes having to wash loads twice sometimes in order to get them actually clean. Ran the unit through diagnostics and did not find any stored air codes. I ran the unit through an auto test twice and the unit ran as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Scott SR# 7735034302 . He had me run a calibration on the unit and advised there is nothing more we can do on this washer due to all components working as designed. He advised the issue would have to be a use and care issue otherwise. Went over Techlines findings with the customer and the unit is working as designed. Call complete.

Arrived on site. Per whirlpool replaced both doors same issue freezer door matte finish fresh food door shiny finish informed customer to contact whirlpool customer service

Arrived onsite for a washer to replace previous diagnosed parts. I confirmed the F3E3 error and deleted the error code. I tested the thermistor to the valve from the control and found it open. I replaced the inlet valve and ran the service diagnostics test. The unit worked as designed and the error didnt return. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

Arrived on site to diagnose a washer that is leaking. Found drain in home backing up and overflowing. Customer will need to fix clogged drain. No failures were found with washer. Water damage waiver is signed.

Recommended she not use new pods and go back to her normal pods . Couldnt tell if pods were dish or laundry . No other issues found with unit . No water leaks detected at time of service.
