"Arrived on site for a dishwasher leaking from a bad seal. On arrival the customer showed me where there was a rip in the door seal. They also stated the leak had been significant and damaged their cabinet. I put the unit into diagnostics mode and found stored error codes F5E2 for door stuck closed, F10E1 for dispenser problem, F6E6 for no hot water, and F3E3 for failed OWI calibration. I cleared the error codes. I then ran a diagnostics cycle and found the unit leaking from the float switch. In order to repair the unit it will need a new switch assembly (nut, float, nut gasket, and switch housing) and a door gasket. ordrng 1 WPW10195036 (Float) and 1 WPW10195038 (Standpipe Nut) and 1 WP8531743 (Standpipe Nut Gasket) and 1 W10873429 (Switch Housing)"

Found the filter still popping out of the filter housing immediately after energizing the water dispenser. Attempted to replace the filter with another filter the customer had and had the same issue. When the unit does not have a filter in it, the unit works as designed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Scott SR# 7734693865. He advised to come back with the housing and filter again and if there were still further problems, we would need to check water pressure at the garden hose outside.ordrng 1 WPW10394053 (Housing) and 1 EDR1RXD1 (Filter)"

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that is not making ice in the refrigerator section. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the unit has almost completely stopped making ice and has only made two batches in the last two weeks. Took a temp temperature check in the freezer section and find the freezer section at 3?F. Ran the unit through diagnostics and tested all thermistors, icebox fan, ice level sensor, and icemaker error codes. All checked good but the icemaker error codes popped up with an E5 indicating a failed icemaker thermistor. Took a temperature reading inside the icebox area and found the icebox area at 9?F. Checked parts and found the icemaker sent with me as for the freezer. Ordering the correct icemaker in the office will need to contact the customer about a PSP item.; ordrng 1 W11579560 (Refrigerator ice maker)"

"Arrived on site for a washing machine making abnormal noises. On arrival the customer provided a video of the noise and it sounded like an abnormal squeal (not typical GC squeal). It also appears to occur on the ramp down of the spin. I ran a manual high spin several times and was not able to replicate it. I then ran two diagnostics cycles and was able to briefly replicate it. I found the squeal occurred on the very last second or two of the ramp down before the unit came to a complete stop. I gained access to the bottom of the unit and everything looked fine. Due to this I am ordering the stator and we will return to replace that, the rotor, and slider. We will also return with the gearcase to install just in case ; ordrng 1 W10915700 (Stator)"

"Arrived onsite to inspect refrigerator not cooling in the RC. Temperature tested FC and got 32?, RC was room temperature. I diagnostic tested the damper and the damper is working properly. I tested the evaporator fan and I couldnt here it. I found ice in the freezer around the evaporator. I used my shop-vac and steamer to remove and clean up the ice. I Volt tested the evaporator fan and was getting 120 to the fan, but the fan is struggling to function. Removed obstruction in drain tube. R/R evaporator fan and tested. Operational test good, no leaks observed during service.Call complete.

Arrived onsite for dishwasher with no power. Upon inspection I found all connections at the control good no leaks at the Sump&motor. The wiring in the junction box was good as well I checked the breaker and found that it wasnt tripped. I check under the sink and found the the DW outlet was wired to a switch and the switch was in the off position. I flipped the switch to the on position and tested unit in diagnostics mode twice and found no codes and that the unit is operating as designed. Job complete.

Noticed water leak coming from hot water valve in CX wall. See photo. Water supply hoses were swapped. Swapped water supply hoses to correct water valve. Entered diagnostics and found the following error codes: F0E4, F0E3, F0E5, & F8E1. Tested unit inlet valves, hot and cold, and found water leaking past the hot water valve. Replaced water valve and resolved the leak. Tested unit again in diagnostics and found no leaks coming from washer. Informed CX that we replaced the leaking water valve on the washer and that their hot water valve in their wall needs attention to prevent any damage to the home. Advised CX to get plumber to inspect water valves in wall. No leaks on washer present at end of service. Job complete."

"BT arrived to inspect drying issue. Upon entering service test mode I found F8E2. I cleared the code and proceeded with automatic test mode. All functions were present and the unit drew 6 plus amps during the heater phase of test mode. I discovered at the end of the first test mode a tremendous amount on sudsing. I used automatic test mode two additional times to clear the sudsing. I advised CX on detergent use. The CX was using high strength detergent tablets, pre rinsing well and has a water treatment system. I advised the CX that this combination creates a tremendous amount of sudds which stop the heating process. CX understood and will change detergent types and use the recomended amount of less than 1 tablespoon of automatic washing detergent. Operations test good, no further errors observed during testing. No leaks observed during service."

Went ahead and tested the unit in a diagnostic cycle and could not get the unit to leak. Did not see any evidence of any leaks underneath the unit. When I open the door during the middle of the diagnostic cycle, I noticed excessive searching inside of the dishwasher. I did notice the customer is not using rinse aid and advise the customer against overstretching to to the issue of potential cause for leaking.
