"Arrived on site to inspect ice machine low ice production. Upon further inspection, I find the bin full of ice, but the cubes were smaller than the normal setting size. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested and the unit operated as designed and is set on the normal sized setting. I tested the unit is a normal cycle and while testing, I found all of the components are operating as designed. I checked the placement of the evaporator thermistor and found it is in the incorrect spot on the evaporator tubing. I pulled the unit out and removed the top panel to get access to the thermistor harness and found the harness not correctly installed. I adjusted the harness and placed the evap thermistor in the correct manufacturer approved placement on the evap tubing. Continued to monitor the cycle and found the unit is operating as designed. I cleared the codes and continued with testing and when the unit tested the door lock, the door locked and would not unlock,and the unit shut down and displayed error code F5E2. I inspected the lock and found the harness broken at the molex connector (photo). I re-wired the harness until I can get back with a new harness. Retested the unit and it is operating as designed. I went to put the outer cabinet door on the front and found the door would not fit right. I found that the inner door that was just replaced. Had the control mount in the center of the inner door instead of at the top right hand corner. This was causing the outer door to bow outward in the center of the door, and not allow the Cabinet door to fit on the outer door. I spoke with the customer and the customer advised that she did not want to jimmy rig any mount for the control and preferred just to order a new one. She stated that she would prefer to put her old door back on for the time being while we wait for the new door. "Arrived on site for a washing machine that is still not being able to start a cycle. Inspected unit and work area. Per whirlpool, they wanted us to check the resistance ratings on the motor windings. I checked the motor windings from the control and found Black to brown 8.8 ohms, black to red 8.9 ohms, and red to brown 8.9 ohms. I also checked underneath at the motor and confirmed the same findings. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Jeremy SR# 7739140115. I told him that beyond their request for the resistance rating, that the original issue on the previous visit was that the controls were not updating the model and serial information to the new controls. He stated that while that was a part of the equation, they were trying to figure out what was causing this error message. He advised that because the motor windings were showing within range from both spots, the issue would not be with the motor or the wire harness. He advised at this point because of what has been done with this unit, he would submit this back to review and to let the customer know that whirlpool would be in contact with the customer or myself depending on the next steps. Advised that he tried to mess with it himself and after unplugging it and tripping the breaker, the unit has been working ever since. he just wanted to make sure that there was nothing wrong with the washer. I ran into diagnostics and found an F5 E4 (lid not opened between cycles) error code. Around the unit through an auto test and found the unit working in operating as designed. I tested all user interface buttons and found all of them working. Arrived onsite for a refrigerator that stopped cooling correctly after the previous parts were replaced. I found the FC at -2 degrees and the RC at 58 degrees. I found the plastic thermistor that was installed on the previous visit causing the issue. I changed it back to the metal thermistor. I tested the refrigerator and found the temp dropping. I told the customer to monitor it and I would return to temp it later. I returned at 4:30pm and temped both compartments. The FC was at -2 degrees and the RC was at 38 degrees. I did verify that all gaskets were properly sealing, but did find that the upper part of the door gasket was barely going over the cabinet where it meets the liner. I adjusted the door upwards a half an inch to create a better seal and added some silicone to the edges of the cabinet. I found the unit working and operating as designed. Call complete. W10841140"

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator door. That is making a popping sound. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that after the last service, they noticed that the refrigerator door was kind of making a popping sound, and would be dropping down on the bottom hinge. Customer showed me what he was talking about and I found the upper plastic cover for the top hinge, rubbing against the door, causing the door to fall when it was trying to close the door. I removed the cover and tested the unit. I found the unit working an operating as designed. I went ahead and re-seated the hinge cover and tested the unit. Upon further inspection; found drain tube to not be attached to the drip pan nipple and found filter drier to rub on the aluminum hot pipe. Added noise dampening foam to the drier and inserted tube to the nipple. A rattling noise does occur if pulling passively on the CFM housing. Motor, fan blade and bracket are secured correctly. Upon first glaze, I found several screws that had already been stripped. I was able to remove one out of the five screws due to the corrosion and damage already down to the screws. I spoke to JC and was advised that at this point, we would need to do a full rebuild on this washer. Ordering the tub, basket, filter, Kim, belt, actuator, and screws. We will also need to return with all other rediagnosed parts, including the gear case, suspension, hub, assembly, and agitator. The office will need to reach out for authorization as well as contact the customer about a return date if authorization is given. Please schedule the next service for two hours. "Arrived on site to inspect dryer not heating. Upon further inspection, the tenant advised the unit tumbles and turns on, but does not heat and the unit will continuously run. I tested the unit with the door open and the switch closed and found the element not illuminating in the back left vent area. I tested voltage at the terminal block and between the red/black wires I had no voltage. Between the red/white I got 124V and black/white 124V. I advised the customer of the voltage issue and due to not being able to fully test the timer without 240V, I removed and replaced the timer and I checked the breaker and found it to be a GFCI breaker. I cycled power to the unit and retested and still no voltage. I left the unit unplugged for safety. No lint observed during service, job completed. W10857612"

"WOEC3030LS01 Arrived to install previously diagnosed and ordered parts. I found initially that the unit would stop rotation after one second and subsequent tests failed at the eight second mark. I started with the main control, wide control and UI, since there was no power supplied to the inverter. The issue persisted and I replaced the inverter and magnetron, finding the issue resolved at that point. Operational test good."

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator. That is making a high-pitched noise. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that a week or two ago, the unit was making a telephone style sound, and that it was coming from seemingly the door of the refrigerator. She advised that she unplugged it, and when she called in for service, they advised to plug it back in so that way she could get a video or a recording of the sound. She advised that since then, the unit has not made the same sound, and has been working and operating as designed. She did advise that she is not happy with this unit as she has had two separate service calls on this within the calendar year. I ran the unit into diagnostics and ran through testing on the condenser fan, evaporator fan, compressor, Damper control, icemaker, harvest, icemaker fill test, icebox fan, water, dispenser, and ice dispensing. Through all my testing I could not get the unit to replicate any abnormal sounds. I did advise the customer that at this point, I could not determine exactly what was causing the failure as everything is seemingly working an operating as designed. The customer stated that she would try to get a recording of some kind if the issue comes back. Call complete. No parts were installed."

I examined the unit and found evidence that water / liquids have been able to get into the switches, and that is causing them to short when they are full of liquid. I advised strongly to keep things that boil over away from the switch side. I also found that the center burner has no spark going to it. Ordering igniter wire to resolve. "Arrived on site to inspect washer getting off balance. Upon further inspection, I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F0E2-off balanced load. Cleared the code and continued with testing. I tried rocking the unit from front left to back right and front right to back left and found the unit is leveled. The unit completed diagnostics with no further error codes. While servicing the dryer, I retested the washer and it continued to operate as designed. I questioned the customer on whether or not they have a water softener system and they do not. I questioned about the load size, detergents used and any other detergent type products theyre using and the customer provided all products used. I made recommendations for use and care, as well as, detergent use. Recommended they make the adjustments and if the unit continues to fail to call it in for service. Unit is operating as designed at this time. No water leaks observed during service, job completed. No parts installed."

"Arrived on site to inspect range control panel issues. Upon further inspection, I found the control pushed out of the panel. I pulled the unit out and gained access to the main control and found the control mounting brackets were not properly installed. I removed the control and corrected the brackets and re-installed the control and tested. Unit is operating as designed. No gas leaks detected during service, job completed. No parts installed."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not completing cycles. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that when she called in, they advised her to unplug it, and then try it again to see if the issue remains. She stated that after she did unplug it, the unit has seemingly been running fine sense, but we will check it out anyway. I ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F8 E1 (low/no water detected during the fill) error code. I ran the unit through an auto test and found that when it was trying to draw in hot water, no water was coming through. I checked behind the washer and found the hot water valve at the wall, turned off, causing the issue. I turned the hot water valve on and found water immediately flow into the washer. When I went through the spin cycle, I found the tub banging up against the front panel. I found out the flooring in the laundry room was extremely uneven and adjusted the feet on the washer to try to level it out. I I found that even adjusting the feet on the washer on the front end, the tub was still barely, leaning up against the front panel. I did advise the customer to get her some rubber shims for the front of the washer to completely level the unit but it is working and operating as designed. Call complete. No parts were installed."

Arrived on site for unit giving F8E1 error and then timing out leaving clothes wet at the end of the cycle. Customer was having to run a drain and spin to ring the clothes out. On arrival tested and confirmed long fill error and valve failure. Replaced valve assembly and tested. Unit is now functioning properly. No leaks present at this time. Job complete . Used W11165546

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is giving a drain error code and is telling the customer to close the lid when starting cycles. Inspected unit and work area. I did verify the model and serial numbers, but found the model number sent over was the wrong engineering digit. I did correct the model number. I ran the unit into diagnostics and found an F9 E1 (slow drain), F0 E5 (off balance load), and F5 E1 (lid switch fault) error codes. I attempted to lock the lid and found that the latch would not attempt to even lock the lid. I tested the drain pump and found the drain pump, not even buzzing. I checked resistance from the control to the drain pump and found it reading 26 ohms of resistance Indicating the drain pump was out of range. I checked the drain pump at the drain pump and confirmed the same resistance reading. I tested voltage from the drain pump when trying to activate the drain cycle and found no voltage. I gained access to the control again and check voltage coming out of the control. I found no voltage coming out of the control either. I checked the parts breakdown for the updated model number and found that the latch and the drain pump were still accurate but the control was not. I replaced both drain pump and latch assemblies but am ordering the control for full repair. Ordering the part and rescheduled the customer to 6/7. "Arrived on site to test unit for tripping breaker. Customer stated unit would trip breaker as soon as it was plugged in. Inspected entire unit, found now signs of grounding or arcing wires. Replaced control (W11620481) as precautionary. Plugged unit in, ran preheat cycle, unit heated up to 350?. When testing burner, unit immediately tripped breaker. Contacted techline to document SR#7739218403. Per techline issue is with the breaker. Range and microwave are required to be on dedicated circuits. "Arrived to inspect ice clumping issues. The FC was -2 and the RC was 36. Highest temperature in the RC was logged at 80 and 56 for the freezer, which were not possible due to found conditions within both chambers. Due to this being a more recently frequent finding and the same symptoms as the prior replaced machine at this location and others, I inspected and found the factory air dividers we both missing on the back, but the lower was intact. The constant recirculating of heater air from the sealed system was likely causing all manner of odd readings and operation. Office to order parts and tech GCO please. "Arrived on site to install previously diagnosed parts. Inspected unit and work area. I went to replace the refrigerator door gasket and found the new gasket was torn in several different areas. I went to replace the mullion and found that the new mullion had a two pin connector, but the old one was a three pin connector. I spoke to SR and was advised that she would need to get clarification with Maytag to confirm the correct part number and to order it for research. I did replace the pantry lid. The customer asked if we had the shelf and Chris bourbons as well. I advised that that was not a part of the work order. She advised that she had made a mention of that on the previous trip and showed me what was happening. I found that the crisper drawers and frame all damaged. Ordering those parts as well and the office will need to contact the customer about a return date when parts are made available. "Arrived on site to disgnos dryer occasionally tripping breaker on towel / less dry setting. Unit has done this since customer moved in. I found good voltage and polarity. Unit is on a GFCI breaker. I tested the unit and found it never exceeds 27 amps when running. Called tech line and confirmed this is working as designed, and this is breaker nuisance. Tech line case SR7739220605.
