"Arrived to inspect cooling issues after electrical storm. The customer described an issue where the unit would cool erratically after an electrical storm occurred. I entered service test mode and found error 10 x1-753D, 108 x255-0D, 107 x16-0D, 721 x23-9D, 508 x93-5D, 109 x29-50D, 300 x33-1D, 304 x141-1D, 716 x1-132D, 714 x1-132D, 715 x1-132D, 802 x1-111D, 100 x4-50D, 103 x14-50D, 106 x255-0D, 112 x2-50D, 102 x11-50D, 105 x3-71D, 111 x1-71D, 303 x39-0D. I manually tested all fans and found the only one that would actually operate and show RPMs as well, was the FF fan, even though it was listed as an error in the service test modes. Testing other fan loads showed they all had the 13.6VDC (within 2%) present, but none had the PWM trigger present and only the FF had PWM triggering. I deduced the issue was within the control and removed and replaced. All fun ns returned to the unit with all fans operating as expected. No leaks observed during service.

Arrived on site for a washer that is making a banging noise and also squeaking when in spin. Upon arrival I put unit into diagnostics and ran a cycle and heard the banging and squeaking. I then checked the under chassis and found that the tub was banging agains the chassis and the squeak was coming from the chassis flexing. I leveled out the unit to. Compensate and tested unit and found that loud banging was gone in the squeaking as well. Job complete.

Per MFG Technical Service Pointer #: W11606409 Rev F, Special Project #: S84638, I removed and replaced all the modules and tested. The lower left module in the RC was foamed in place and after removing, I found the plastic backer was incorrectly positioned and would not allow the model to fit. I contacted the MFG, Tech Kirk, File #7735442401 and advised of the issue. I was directed to remove the excessive plastic to allow the module to be inserted and was able to correct the issue. Down the control would receive voltage but was not doing anything with it. Checked the drain pump and found 1.8 ohms of resistance Indicating a shorted drain pump that checked out the control. Also found the user interface broken and not sitting correctly on the consul. Checked with claims and was approved for all three parts. Replace the control, user interface, and drain pump and ran unit through diagnostics. Found every test pass with no leaks present during operation. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is making abnormal sounds during agitation and spin. Inspected unit and work area. The customer had a video of the noise that the unit was making during those cycles. It sounded like the belt was slipping off the cam. Checked underneath the washer and did confirm that the cam was worn. Replaced the cam and tested the unit. The customer brought into oversized blankets for the testing. I did ask the customer if that was the load that was causing the issue. He advised that they do wash oversize blankets and towels in there and those specific cycles had been the ones that have caused the most issue. He advised that lighter loads the unit will not make any sound. I did advise the customer that whirlpool does not recommend washing oversized blankets, comforters, sleeping bags, or quilts in these washers. I did advise that the weight of the materials can put excess strain on his gear case and therefore make abnormal sounds. We ran the unit through a wash cycle and found the unit fill up near the top and agitate. The unit ran as designed with no abnormal sounds present. Call complete."

Arrived on site for KitchenAid commercial style range oven door opening while in use and the cooktop burners going out when the door is opened. I inspected the unit and work area. I adjusted and replaced the front left burner head since it was hissing after a while of use. I checked the door and chassis alignment and found the location the latch it mounted to is slight bent inward allowing the latch to warp out of the way when the oven is heated up allowing the switch to disengage. I called techline and spoke to Kurt I advised him of my findings and because of the chassis damage the unit will need to be replaced.

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is not completing cycles. Inspected unit and work area. Ran the unit through diagnostics and found an F7 E5 (shifter fault) and F8 E1 (low/no water detected during fill) error codes. I ran the unit through an auto test and found the cold water valve pulling in very little water and found the unit having a hard time shifting between agitation and spin. Found when the unit was draining that the unit was siphoning water back in due to a closed drain. Advise the customer to get away from the closed drain and quoted the customer for the cold water valve and actuator.Ordering the water valve and will return with the shifter.

"Arrived on site to inspect washer not washing properly. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that the unit is stretching their clothing. Customer provided some shirts that there allegedly stretched out. Some appeared to be a little larger than what the tag showed and some appeared normal. I placed the unit in diagnostics showing error code F0E9. Cleared the code and continued with testing. The unit operated as designed. Due to the unit possibly not agitating or spinning properly in a normal wash cycle, I removed and replaced the main control and retested. Unit is operating as designed. I made recommendations for use and care. No water leaks observed during service, job completed."
