"WRT311FZDZ02 Arrived to inspect temperature issues. I found the RC at 31 and the FC at 1. The customer advised the RC gets too cold and at times, they have noticed when the RC gets too cold, ice cream starts to soften, denoting evaporator freezup. Inspection of the drain tube reveled some debris, but the tube was clear going up to the evaporator. Further inspection revealed the vacuum breaker in the lower back of the RC chamber was incorrectly installed during manufacturing and was deformed. The valve could not close all the way and I was able to video it malfunctioning. I contacted the MFG and advised of my findings, tech Nate, SR# 7739411347. The tech advised to order the air breaker WP2210509 and attempt install. No leaks observed during service. GCO please.; ordrng 1 WP2210509 (RELEASE-VAC) and 1 GCO (GCO)"

Upon arrival, customer states that the temperature does not get hot enough, the unit never reaches preheated temperature and food does not get cooked correctly. Upon arrival, preheated oven to 400. Used thermocouple to monitor temperatures. Unit only preheated to 389 and began heat cycles. Unit began cooling, Temperature got as low as 290, then heated to only 349 and only averaged 319.5. Need to replace control and sensor. Allowed unit to cool and replaced sensor W10859573 and control W11620686. Test unit by preheating again to 400. Unit surpassed 400 as normal and began heat cycling. Got average temperature to 402. Unit is operating as designed. No gas leaks present at this time. Job complete"

Arrived onsite for dishwasher with Error message F8E4. On inspection found the overflow tray full of water. I took the tray out and dumped the water. I ran the diagnostic cycle twice and no water leaks were detected. I informed the customer the only other time I seen this is when the dishwasher was over loaded and a spray arm gets stuck in 1 position and sprays the door and leaks into the tray. Customer said that it was over loaded on the very first load ever ran in the unit. No parts installed during service and no water leaks detected during service.

Arrived onsite for oven with no power to ui. On inspection the ui was dark but the cooktop was igniting. Gain access to the control board and found that there was a burnt spot on the console board. Installed new control board and now the ui is power on and bake and broil are working. On further inspection the bake takes 4 to 8 sparks to ignite if it does ignite. Gain access to the bake element and found the spark is weak. Ordering a new DSI board and bake igniter just in case it is the igniter. Arrived onsite for vent hood making a horrible noise. On inspection the fan sounds like a blade is broken hitting the side of the vent hood. Gain access to the fan and motor dropped it down and turn it on removed from the vent hood. Fan is making no new and there is nothing broken on the fan. Looked up in the vent hood and there was a piece of metal that had been cut but not removed that was hitting the fan. I removed the metal piece and now the fan is working as designed and no parts were installed onto unit.

"Arrived one for previously diagnosed parts. On inspection the ui was not responsive to the touch, it was stuck on power failure on the display. Installed a mew controller and the same error message was on the display. Reinstalled the old control board and installed new ui and the display was blank. I installed the new control board in unit and still a blank display. Installed new the old ui with new control board and it was back to power failure on the display. Reordering the ui and the control board and a new latch sense I had to break the latch to get the model # with engineering code. Sitting next ASAP, customer has been with out a washer almost a month. No parts installed during service.; ordrng 1 W11478527 (Ui) and 1 W11426291 (Control board) and 1 W11700916 (Latch)"

"Arrived on site to diagnose microwave that had made a loud pop last time that it was used. Customer also mentioned that occasionally it would seem a little extra loud when running. Unit has not been used since and was unplugged. I removed the top cover and examined the HV system. I found no char marks, burnt or severed wires, or any source of a pop or electrical failure.i found no abnormal odors either. Cavity also showed no sign of damage. I ran the unit and heated some water. I found the water was heating normally and the unit sounded normal as well. I advised the customer that they should monitor the unit if they use it, but there is no definitive source of any noise or damage. Unit is heating. Relayed diagnosis to landlord. Office to charge card on file for diagnosis since no failure could be verified."

I checked the level and found it slightly off front to rear and adjusted. I ran unit in high speed spin and found the top of the basket seems to be gyrating abnormally, but is tight on the gearcase shaft. Checked suspension and suspension is not extra springy. Installed a new heating element and sump assembly and transferred all remaining parts to the tub. Reassembled the unit to the stand and tested. Unit is operating as designed with no leaks. I removed the model/serial placard from the old tub and placed it on the new tub at the top left corner of the tub. Placed the unit back in its space and retested and unit continues to operate as designed. No water leaks observed during service, job completed. No one on site to sign for receipt. "Arrived onsite for a washer to replace the previous diagnosed parts. The customer was trying to run a rinse and spin when I arrived and the machine had stopped and the lid lock light and rinse were flashing. I replaced the broken lid and rusting hinges. I replaced the lid lock due to what was happening with the lid lock light. I ran another rinse and spin finding the machine filling and agitating properly but when it got to the spin cycle the motor was humming loudly and couldnt decide which direction to turn. I had correct voltage out of the control. I believe a winding is shorting when under a load and the motor was extremely hot. The new motor I opened had a broken mount but I was able to get it wedged in and test the washer in another rinse and spin cycle. The washer filled, agitated, drained, and then went into spin working as designed. Im leaving the broken motor on the machine so the customer can use it. Ordering W11026785 motor. RS for Wed 7/3/2024.; schdld next appmnt for 7/3 WED !"

I checked the bulb to make sure that it was properly tightened and found the proper connectors. I checked the door switch and found one of the door switch connectors not connected to the wire that supplies the voltage to the door switch. I attempted to try to remove the wiring to reconnect the connector, but found that the wire was completely insulated inside of the cabinet and would not pull down. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Leon SR# 7739394799. He had me send him several photos of the issue and advise that this unit would be sent to review and to make note for the repair at this time. He advised that the customer or I would be contacted depending on the next steps. Call complete. No parts were installed."
