REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRT138FZDW00 Arrived on site for refrigerator that’s not freezing properly in the freezer section. Inspected unit and work area. Found ice cream and several other components halfway thawed in the freezer. Tested pressures and found the low side at -8 psi and the high side at 1:25 psi. Was unable to use a black light to look for leaks. Spoke to CS and was advised to order sealed system parts for a leak and charge the unit. Charged unit back up to 145 psi on the high side and one psi on the low side. Placing it in service diagnostics and found an F3 E2 (inlet water temperature fault), F0 E4 (spin limited by water temperature), F5 E1 (lid switch fault - lid is up), and F2 E1 (UI stuck key) error codes. Ran unit through an auto test and unit ran as designed. Ran unit through a manual lid lock test and unit ran as designed. Customer advised that on several cycles they had been using, the lid like sounded like it was trying to lock in bed but that it would not and try again several times. I advise the customer that based on their complaint and the error code for the lid switch fault, the issue would most likely be the lid lock. However without being able to cause a fault. Replaced lid lock assembly and tested unit in a manual lid lock test, auto test, and normal cycle with clothes in it. Unit ran as designed.

Mr stated there was a smoke mark at the rear of the unit on the lower panel. I confirmed there was a smoke mark and found that this happened at the plant when the lined were soldered. I explained this to the customer. I checked the main control and found it good. The customer stated the smell was coming from the RC. I checked all components in the RC and found them good. I checked the FC evaporator and found where a piece of foam had fallen on the defrost heater causing the smell the customer had noticed. I removed what was left of the foam and scraped the rest off of the heater. I explained to the customer that any remaining foam would burn off. The unit is working as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

After further inspection I found that the issue was that there was a TOD sensor on the back of the upper oven that had blown from the self-cleaning feature and was not allowing the oven to kick on the upper side but whatever I try to place to use the house and noticed that there is no power getting to the main control board I found at the thermal fuse that is wired into the main power lineWas also blown and will need to be replaced before we can get power to the main control and pull the chassis oven we will need to return with the TOD sensor as well as a thermal fuse to the main control. Found freezer section overly full and having a hard time circulating air. Removed freezer evaporator cover and found ice build up over the air tower holes leading down to the refrigerator. Removed ice blocks and tested unit. Refrigerator section began to cool. Unit is working as designed. Advised customer of how to avoid this for the further. Call complete.

ICE MACHINE JENN-AIR JIM158XYRS2 Arrived onsite for the ice machine not making ice. During inspection found that the ice machine was unplugged. Went to plug ice machine back in and saw that he drain hose from the ice machine was not connected to the main drain. In order to hook up drain hose the wine cooler will need to be removed to gain access to hook up drain hose to the main drain line. Advised customer to have some one remove to wine cooler. Was not able to test ice machine because I will not be able to drain water. Customer stated that they will contact us once the ice machine is hooked up to the drain.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL KRSC703HPS00 "Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator temps. Upon further inspection, tested temps in the FC=12 degrees & RC=51 degrees. I found that the RC evap cover had a large mass of ice on the outside. I advised the customer of my findings and advised that I would have to reschedule due to the large amount of ice and the potential damage that could be caused from removing the evap cover. I recommended that the customer unplug the unit 24-48 hours before I return and to place towels around the unit to protect the walls from any water leakage.No water leaks observed during service.;

VENTHOOD UNKNOWN WVW53UC0FS2 "Arrived on site to inspect venthood lights not working. Upon further inspection, I tested the lights and they failed to come on. When I moved the light harness, the lights flickered off/on. I removed the lights and the transformer/capacitor housing and found that the left LED connector pins were loose. I had to cut the shrink tape off the connector to get to the harness to adjust. I attempted to adjust the pins but they would not hold. I contacted techline ad spoke to Dustin and advised of the complaint and my findings. Dustin recommended adjusting the pins and retaping, but I advised I tried and it holds briefly. He advised that he does not have a part number for the harness and our parts dept would have to research the part. If the part is not available for order, then techline would have to contacted and document info to move further. File #7728492703. OVEN WHIRLPOOL WOS51EC0HW01 "Arrived on site for wall oven with power but not heating when turned on. After running diagnostics I found an “improper wiring” notification appear that indicates faulty or improperly connected wires somewhere within unit. After removing wall oven I immediately found that the unit had a modern (4 wired: red, white, black, ground) hardwire connection from the oven, being connected to an older 3 wired outlet connection (“grandfathered in” by the N.E.C, old flashed black(hot) white(hot) bear (neutral)). One pair of wires within the connection had come loose from the wire nut. I rewired loose connection and retested unit thoroughly for any other failures. No other errors were found within unit from either hardware or diagnostic tests. Unit heating thoroughly to set temps now. Call complete"

WASHER WHIRLPOOL WFW94HEAW0 "Arrived on site to inspect washer door lock not unlocking. Upon further inspection, I found the unit partially disassembled with the top panel off, the screws not mounted into the control panel and the bottom screws missing from the front panel. Placed the unit in diagnostics showing error codes F6E1, F5E2, F5E3. Cleared the codes to continue with testing. As the unit began testing, the door lock engaged, but the unit did not advance. I followed the tech sheet and tested the door switch and control. I pulled the unit out and removed the wick panel to inspect the motor control and I found that the MCU was burnt out.I removed and replaced the MCU and retested. Unit is operating as designed. No leaks observed during service, job completed."

Found wire harness cover at bottom of FC door showing wires. Repair by adding electrical tape to harness cover. Cleaned front of condenser. Inspected both evaporator and found good frost pattern. Performed Found unit ADC defrost mode, switch to basic defrost. Tested all thermistors. Ran defrost cycle. Was not able to repeat sound. Informed customer sound was possibly refrigerant back flow while unit was defrosting. All operations tested good, no water leaks detected."

Called Techline suggested that control damper may need to be replaced along with control. Got sr#7728494264. Replaced parts. Tested unit. Unit test good. Water was frozen over. And now dispenser once again.
