FTF2140ES2 Arrived to inspect lights randomly coming on. The customer described an issue where the unit will power up from standby randomly. Sometimes when they pass near the machine and sometimes they walk by it and notice it on. I found no faults with any components and inspected the control. I did find the potentiometer for the water temperature did not have the expected resistance sweep and at the high end it actually dropped a few hundred ohms. The customer elected to try the unit as is due to repair cost and I advised of all findings. No leaks observed during service

"Arrived on site to diagnose microwave that is not running the vent when running. Tested the unit and found vent is running, but at low speeds. I also noticed the turntable motor is struggling, lights dim, and the mag is buzzing loudly. I replaced the control due to voltage drop. Found no improvement. Checked voltages and found 120v going to turntable motor, but only 14v going out to motor. Talked with JC who is ordering HV system parts to resolve the loud mag, interlocks for voltage drops, and motor / capacitor. Office to schedule when all parts present. ; O-emld tckt"

"WRS321SDHZ08 Arrived to inspect no ice. I found the issue was the unit was producing, but it could not dispense. Removal of the ice bin revealed the motor was locked and the ice type solenoid was frozen in place. I was able to use light heat and correct both issues. Further inspection revealed the unit had clearly gone through an evaporator freeze up and had recovered nicely. There was slight residual clear ice at the lower part of the evap and the unit will clear it on its own. The ice bin had sustained a fracture in the bottom of the bin and will require replacement. All other systems tested as designed and I corrected severe top-out cabinet lean and door opening gaping of the RC. No leaks observed during service. ; ordrng 1 WPW10558424 (Ice bin)"

"Arrived on site to inspect wall oven not heating. Upon further inspection, the customer advised that they went to use the upper oven and heard a pop come from behind the control panel and it wouldnt heat. The lower oven is working fine. I attempted to remove the unit from the cabinets and found the unit shoved into its space and I am unable to remove it. I advised the customer, who was standing by, that they would need to contact their builder and have them make the unit accessible for repairs. I am rescheduling service for 05/05/23 and customer will contact their builder. I will return with all prescreened parts

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator noises. Upon further inspection, the customer had the doors open to get the compressor to turn on and I closed them and placed the unit in diagnostics and tested the compressor in test 5. Customer said it only makes the noise when the compressor is on. Once I turned the compressor on, I could hear a faint vibration noise. Once the compressor ramped up in speed, the vibration noise got louder. I pulled the unit out on my floor protector and removed the back cover to inspect the compressor. I moved the compressor, adjusted the system tubing, placed sound pads on the tubing along with zipties and still the noise was there so I removed the pads and I could not tell if it was the compressor in failing stages or something else that is vibrating. I made contact with several other senior techs to discuss the situation and was given several different scenarios, some that I had already tried. I contacted the office (MS) and advised that I was rescheduling to get another senior tech out to inspect. I am ordering more sound pads and mastic, along with CNOTE-GCO and office to reschedule. At the time of departure, I could not hear the noise except when opening the unit doors. Tested the bake element and found no heat coming from the bake element. Remove the back cover and check voltage going to the bake element. Found 247 V going to the bake element check resistance on the element itself, and it was showing between open and .01 indicating a bad heater. Before removing the old motor, I tested the new motor and found no change. I re-diagnosed the unit and found the timer not sending voltage. I removed and replaced the timer and retested and it continued to fail. I found the start switch has failed. I am ordering the start switch and scheduled return service for 05/05/23. Maintenance moved the unit to apartment #10105 since its vacant. Cleaned the lint from the unit. No lint observed at the end of service. ; ordrng 1 WPW10446920 (Start switch)"

"JJW2830IL01 Arrived to inspect display issue. Upon arrival, I found the actual issue was the unit had just been started and the customer heard a loud pop and there was also a flash. The control had then flickered and acted strangely and the customer has not used it since. I found the broil element showing Mohms and then discovered a spot in the right rear of the broiler area, where there was evidence of an element burn through. I retrieved the broiler p/n W10804429 from our warehouse and installed. Through testing, the unit resumed all normal functions and heated and cycled as designed. Operational test good.; used 1 W10804429 (Broiler Element) from stock"

"Arrived on site for oven not heating correctly. On inspection I turn the upper oven on to 350? the high end temp of the upper oven was 380? and the low end was 331? the average was 349.5. The lower oven only got to 305 for the upper, I calibrated the oven and the upper temperature after recalibrated for the lower oven was 390? and lower was 326?. The unit is operating as designed now."

Arrived onsite for a no heat dryer after the heater was replaced. I tested voltage at the wall and had 229VAC. I disassembled the dryer and check all of the lower unit parts. All thermostats and thermal fuse were closed. The element and outlet thermistor and inlet thermistors were showing correct resistance. I bypassed the door switch and started the dryer finding the element working. I reassembled the dryer and tested it finding it cycling between 124-162 degrees and working as designed. I explained to the customer that I had no idea why it wasnt heating when the previous tech was here. The customer is going to use and monitor its performance and will call back if needed. "WOC54EC0HS04 Arrived to inspect no operation. I found the unit had an apparent software hang and would not react to any touch. Cycling the power corrected the issue and I advised the customer to connect the unit to the internet and app, to ensure the newest software will be installed. I found multiple errors stored, but they were older, from 2022 (images saved.) I assisted and completed the internet and app connection and advised the customer to allow a few days for the software to be updated. The customer will contact us if there are any further issues and the unit will require the main control and console assembly to both be installed simultaneously."

Arrived on site for an ice machine that is making an abnormal noises during operation. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised the noise can be so loud that she can hear it in her bedroom. Found the unit making ice and running. Found minor abnormal sounds coming from the recirculation pump. Could not find any abnormal sounds coming from anything else. Replace the recirculation pump and tested the unit. The unit begin to work and operate as designed. Call complete.

"Add on site for a refrigerator that is tripping the breaker intermittently. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that the unit will tripped the breaker intermittently yen can go between three days and two weeks between tripping the breaker. I use the wattage meter to check amperage at the wall and ran the unit through diagnostics. When the compressor kicked on, found the unit, pulling a maximum of 8 A upon initial start and dropping down to 1.2 A as the compressor, condenser fan, and evaporator fan ran. Ran unit through a manual defrost and found the unit only pulling 2 A and dropping back down to 1.46 A while in defrost. Check the evaporator for loose connections and found all connections properly installed. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Chris SR# 7736275441. He had me run through a couple checks. He had me check the breaker box to see what kind of breaker the unit was on. Found the unit was on a GFCI/AFI breaker. He advised that due to the intermittent issue, the only potential possibility would be with the GFCI outlet and breaker. He advised that the customer needed to be put on a dedicated circuit for a regular standard breaker with no GFCI or AFI. It has to have the customer try it on one of those outlets and to call back if any other issues persisted, but advised that if that worked, the customer would need to update their breaker to a standard breaker. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a refrigerator that has a broken piece that was sent to the customer. The customer advised that whirlpool sent them the wrong part, and that the part that was sent did not come from any part of her machine. Did confirm the customers complaint and inspected the unit and work area. Customer showed me that the front pantry cover assembly have been broken on the left-hand side and thats something had dropped. Checked with claims and was advised that the issue was cosmetic and would not be able to be covered under her manufacturer warranty. Did advise the customer of the issue and advised that she can contact whirlpool customer service for further assistance. Call complete."

"Arrived on site for a washing machine that is leaking. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised that they ran a load after replacing the washers on the rubber hoses and the unit began to leak water all over the floor. They cleaned up the water and checked the connections and attempted to run another cycle. They found water flowing out of the washer when the unit began to fill. Check the valve for any signs of cracks or leaks. Could not find any. Filled the washer up with water all the way to the rim and could not get the Unit to leak water. Drain the unit and still found no leaks. Ran the unit through an auto test and the unit ran as designed. The customer ran a load of towels on bulky and sheets. The unit filled up with water and agitated for five minutes before I canceled the cycle. The unit drained out and, we ran the unit through a drain and spin. Was unable to detect any water leaks at that point either. Did advise the customer that the issue may be with their drain pipe at the wall and to call back if any other issues persist. Call complete."

Arrived onsite for a washer to replace previous diagnosed parts. I inspected the gearcase and saw nothing wrong. I checked stored codes and found none. I ran the auto diagnostics test and found that after the unit started agitating it would just shut off and say done. I ran a manual drain and then ran a manual agitation again and it shut off and went to done. I tested the motor from the control and it tested good. I replaced the control and ran a calibration. I ran the auto service test again and all past. Unit is working as designed. There were no water leaks present at the time of service. Call complete.

"Arrived on site to inspect dryer not heating. Upon further inspection, I opened the door and pressed the door switch closed and tested the unit on timed dry high heat. I found the element not illuminating in the back left corner the unit. Customer advised they tested voltage at the outlet. I tested voltage at the outlet with the plug part way in and got no voltage. I pushed the cord fully into the outlet and test3d voltage at the terminal block and got no voltage. I removed the plug and tested the outlet and got good voltage 250V. I plugged the unit back in and I found when I move the plug from side to side, I would get voltage and lose voltage. Once I had good voltage, I tested the unit and it is operating as designed. I demonstrated for my customer and recommended they replace the outlet. No lint observed during service, job completed."

Arrived onsite for cooktop not heating efficiency. On inspection the front left burner set the burner on high and the flame looked like it was set on simmer. I gain access to the regulator and found it was set for natural gas. Changed it to LP and retested the unit. The flames are 3 times the size now. Now when the burner is set to high the flames match the setting. The unit is operating as designed and no gas leaks detected during service.

Arrived onsite for oven heating off. On inspection found the gasket had come un clipped from the oven. Reconnect the gasket and tested the unit. The oven was set for 350? the unit heated to 390? and cooled to 295? on the first heat up. The second time the oven heated to 373? and down to 315?. Informed the customer that 350? is the average temperature between the high and low of the oven. The oven is operating as designed

Confirmed there is no clothing item in drain catch found regular/normal cycle was accidentally set to no spin. "Arrived on site to diagnose dishwasher tripping breaker when they try and run it. Tested unit in diagnostic mode. Found errors F10E2 Vent Failure, F7E1 Wash Motor Failure, F8E2 Fill Valve Electrical Issue. Per tech manual recommended repair to resolve the wash motor and fill valve is to replace the valve, and also to replace vent motor due to error. Replaced vent and gasket, and fill valve. Tested unit and confirmed the unit is working as designed with no water leaks

KRFC300ESS01 Arrived to inspect no ice. I found the ice maker partially filled and stalled. I removed the ice that had stalled the tines and found it would not longer fill and continuously ran. Further inspection revealed the right RC door gasket badly torn (photos attached) at the top of the door and requiring replacement. Office to contact the customer with follow up information and to arrange return service . No leaks observed during service. ; ordrng 1 W10830162 (RH Gasket) and 1 W10884390 (Ice Maker)

I found the ribbon cable from the membrane switch to the control had failed and due to multiple traces being damaged, could not be repaired on site.
