Arrived on site for an ice machine. That is making very small slivers of ice. Inspected unit and work area. I did confirm the customers complaint and found the unit making ice but in the unit making very small slivers of ice. I ran the unit through diagnostics and found poor water supply being fed into the reservoir when it was trying to fill. I removed the filter and found no difference in water supply indicating an issue with the valve. I replaced the inlet valve and tested the unit. I found the unit working and operating as designed with no leaks present during operation. Call complete. W10897719

"Arrived on site for a range that will not turn on any burners for the oven. Inspected unit and work area. The customer advised they had a lightning strike and that ever since then, they replaced several breakers, but the oven has not worked or the cooktop. I did confirm the customers complaint and unplugged the unit. I found proper connections at the terminal block and plug the unit back in. I found proper voltage and polarity and test the unit again. I found all components heating and operating as designed. I did advise the customer that it may be an issue with a connection inside of their junction box at the wall. We test the unit several times and the unit is working and operating as designed. Call complete. No parts were installed"

"Arrived on site to inspect refrigerator freezer getting too cold/frosting. Upon further inspection, I tested temps in the FC=8 degrees. When I went to close the freezer door, I found food packaging getting caught in between the door and upper drawer. I found a small amount of frost on the FC evap cover and customer advised the FC light did not come on at one point and they had to wiggle the switch loose from the frost built up inside the housing. I advised the customer that the freezer (FC) door had been left cracked open at some point causing the warm the air to collide with the cold air inside and created the moisture/frost build up. I found moisture on the top of the FC door gasket and then found the right RC door gasket torn and moisture on the center mullion. I advised the customer of my findings. I am ordering the right RC door gasket and will return with all prescreened parts. Scheduled return service for 05/22/24. No water leaks observed during service other than the moisture buildup up.; ordrng 1 W10830162 (Right RC door gasket)"

Notified customer that as the prongs are inserted, a spark might be noticed, but is normal. Checked error codes, and found F5E3 lid unlock, F0E2 over suds, 0\5 off balance , 2/1. Customer stated that leaving the unit unplugged for about a day and plugging it back in. It was now completing cycles properly. Found customer noticed the drain pump was energizing for an extended period of time, and the lid would not unlock. Found that customer has recently changed detergents and possibly experienced an over suds condition causing an extended drain. Notified customer of proper levels to use. Unit is functioning properly. Customer will monitor. Job complete"

The noise they described sounds like the recirculating pump noise when its not pumping enough water. I placed the unit in diagnostics and tested each component and could not duplicate the noise. Tested the bin thermistor and found it out of range. I am ordering the bin thermistor and scheduled return service for 05/22/24. Returning tech to replace the bin thermistor and recirculating pump. I still had the F8E0 (low fan speed under speed) error code pop up and cancel the cycle. I called Whirlpool Techline and spoke to Art SR# 7738988192 He advised to replace the wire harness as that was the only other part that could be causing the issue. I replaced the main wire harness and tested the unit. I still had the same error code popped back up. I called whirlpool tech line again and spoke to Andrew SR# 7738988192. He did some checking to make sure that there was nothing else within the machine that could be causing this issue and advise of your head replaced all parts necessary to resolve this issue. He advised that this unit would be sent to review, and the customer would be in contact with myself or the customer depending on the next steps. "Arrived on site to follow up on refrigerator not keeping temp and also leaking. On arrival was able to clarify 2 separate issues, first was that items in the pullout deli drawer drawer only seem to be spoiling much faster. Second, a large amount of condensation is building on the freezer door gasket, as well as a little frost in the front top section of the freezer. I found the drawer vent was closed almost completely, so I opened it up to allow more cold air in. RC temp was 37, freezer temp 2. I also adjusted the freezer door by raising it 1/8 inch or so. The top of the gasket was barely making contact with the liner, and likely letting air in if door wasn't perfectly positioned. This should resolve all issues present. I also set the mullion heaters off sensor operation and to always on. No parts needed. Repair completed."
