Arrived on site for a range leaking gas. The customer stated the gas leak seems to be 24/7 and sometimes worse at times. I used my electronic gas leak detector and as soon as I got near the range it went off on high. I used my bubble detector on the gas line and found it bubbling close at the connection indicating a leak on the line. Upon further inspection I found significant damage and kinks in the gas line. I informed the customer on my findings and let them know they will need to replace the gas line. I used my bubble detector on the gas components on the range and found none. I advised the customer on keeping the gas off for safety.

"Arrived to inspect unit not draining or starting. I found the washer would not start the motor and a grinding noise could be heard from the timer. After rotating and attempting different settings, it started to engage. Thereafter, the timer intermittently worked and failed throughout testing. The lid switch and harness were both melted and contact was intermittent. The gear case seal at the motor input shaft had been leaking for some time and there was oil under the unit. Due to the large amount of parts and service required, the CX elected to not repair the unit. No leaks observed during service.

Inspection of the gear case area revealed the capacitor had leaked and tested with no capacitance. I was able to utilize a temporary capacitor from another failed machine the CX had, but the unit will require the correct one to be installed. The unit did not have hot water connected and I advised the CX to utilize the tap cold setting at all times. No leaks observed during service. ; ordrng 1 W11395618 (Capacitor)"

I then spun the gearcase by hand with the cam still attached and found the noise coming from the cam. I replaced that cam and spun it by had again and found that the noise was gone. Arrived onsite for dishwasher that is not drying dishes. Upon arrival I checked that the inspection/ blanket was in place it was I ran unit in diagnostics mode and found unit operating as designed. I checked the heating element and found it good. I check that the control was sending voltage to the heating element and found that it was. Through conversation with the customer I found out that the customer was not using rinse aid also they have a water softener and they are using the detergent pods. I advised customer to use rinse aide and to switch to liquid detergent and do not go past the soft watermark in the dispenser. I also explain to the customer that Due to government regulations on water and energy usage for appliances the drying function of dishwashers has changed quite a bit over the years. Older dishwashers would get so hot that the dishes almost had to have time to cool down after the cycle was done. Every year regulations on energy consumption get more strict Which affects the drawing of the dishes. SR # 7734404342 job complete

Arrived onsite for Ice Cubes are Off Colored or Debris. Upon arrival inspected unit. The ice bin was completely empty. Customer explained that the color was cloudy. She noted that they had not used the unit in about a year. Also that they have very hard water. I test the unit and icemaker an water dispenser operate as designed. Recommend that water filter be changed and to be sure to purge the water dispenser up to 5 quarts and dispose of the first couple of batches of ice. There is no repair to be done. Job complete

"Arrived on site and Customers experiences that freezer will freeze but then defrosts/thaws food completely. They are not experiencing any issue with the fresh food section. inspected refrigerator and found temperature in fresh food section is 36 when set at 35, freezer temperature does not have any food in it but it is 4? when set at 0. No visible frost buildup on either evaporator cover. Entered diagnostic cycle and ran all average temperature checks and found Test 28 is 35, 29 is 18, 30 is 33, 33 is 31, 34 is -20, 35 is 27, 36 is -11, attempted to call techline but after 15 minutes on hold spoke with CS instead, will set refrigerator to eight hour defrost on test 126. if this fixes customers experience then issue is resolved. Requested the customer Contact office if issue continues and control boards will need to be ordered. Job complete."

I tested the circuit for the sensor assembly and found it electrically correct, per MFG documentation. I elected to remove and replace the timer and then tested for airflow.
